Do you have any pictures of the wiring of the board after it was cut? or pictures of of what it looked like when it was done? im actually doing this now on my spare cluster and would like to see what traces go where and how you tapped them in. Thank you
too much RTV is not good but it will not hurt anything in the engine. I use RTV on almost all my gaskets just for insurance. Also i use a thin coat just so it seals and looks clean, dont really care for globs of stuff hanging out especially where its visible.
yeah i was a little dissapointed in the dsm crowd but it was cool it can only get better i guess. mine is still i the paint shop but i showed up anyways it was pretty good.maybe the turnout willbe more next time around

Looks like you might be off by a tooth. Just loosen the tensioner and bring it back a tooth. Also you know that to line the oil pump its more than just one revolution. I believe its 3 not absolutely positive. Don't have the book with me.
So i got my car tuned and we hooked up the laptop up and the knock sensor was picking up 15 counts of knock at idle. The sensor is brand new and the wiring looked okay. Before i was getting 43 counts of knock then i replaced the sensor and now its at 15. I am currently running Speed Density...
you should be able to buy just the valves that you need. Also it is probably a good idea to do the other side since your there. Better safe than sorry. keep us updated GL

its not an alignment issue. You definately have a bad mount, and i would get the tires balanced again probably your issue. Even though you said they have been balanced. Many times at the shop i work at people will come from other shops saying they have a vibration and that they just had tires...
i have the same issue in my 1g gsx where at idle it has 43 count of knock and the guy that was gonna tune it siad he couldn't because it was too high, and it would not be tunable.
same exact problem on my brothers 95 tsi. pulled the head off and inspected everything, as far as the valves go and all the internals.. installed cam position sensor car fired right up he drove it home, about 50 miles . Went to start it the next day and it would not start. so tore it back apart...
valve seals are a very good possibility especially since you have oil residue in one of the ports. Also somtimes the turbo seals are bad and they cause smoking.
on my 90 gsx i had the same it was a U-joint starting to go bad on the driveshaft. it was hella expensive but it took car of the vibration. Also when i jacked it up you could not see it at all but i could see rub marks on the area around it.

BOOM BABY... Vacuum is fixed at least i hope. i did a BLT and found some leaks. but it still did not fix it completely. So i went over to my CPS and i touched it an it moved causing the car to stall. The sensor was loose so i adjusted it, and boom my vac is up at about 14-17 in vac. Sounds good...

I think he might have bent a rod because even with the head off the car we could not turn the crank at all. Spun the cam gears with the head off the bottom end an they spun like normal. I think what happened was that when he kept trying to start with only 2 cylinders firing the other 2 flooded...
i checked timing 3 times before i fired it up after headstud install an Hg but i will check again tommorow. if timing was off wouldn't valves hit? Also the actuator is not loose i have to pull it slightly to get it on the flapper arm.
well im not running lean my wideband seems to read about 14.5 but i am still not getting any boost i had this problem when i tried putting on a super 20g an then i put my 14b back on an it boosted just fine now i put a v trim an have nothing even after i take off the hose from the wastegate.

yeah i had the same problem with the driver side. i actually got it to the point where it would spin the wheels but it was not all the way in then after a while it finnally went in.if u got one in already the other one will fit.
Actually i have a 99 tranny in my 90 gsx and i had the boots replaced an had a hella time getting them back on. im a technician an it took about 1hr on one side because the little C clip on the end of the axle, it has to line up perfectly or it will not go at all. Hope that helps.
