Currently running my 98 gsx. Stroked, hx40 external gate with no boost controller.. 14.5 wastegate spring. Car is boosting up to 30psi. Now if the wastegate is openin to early would that cause the boost to keep climbing or would that mean it was sticking shut?

I have an extra tcu that i took out of a car and tried did the same thing as its doing now.. Slipping really bad. But the tcu back in the other car and it worked fine.

I've seen this similar problem when doing a 6bolt swap into a 2g. You need to go into your dsmlink and in setting i believe switch it to inverted cam sensor..

It runs fine but the bov leaks very bad at idle, as soon as you let off the gas it stalls right out. I had to actually adjust the throttle cable so the throttle is slightly open when I let off. I've messed with the biss and it didn't help.

Put the dowel pins in the middle facing up, and the mark on the crank at top dead center. Then retake pictures. The dowel pins must be facing up to check timing..

Got the head on and the cams swapped today. Put a new oem timing belt and tensioner on. The timing belt jumped due to the pulley that the tensioner bolts to coming lose. I just have to plug everything back in.. I ditched the tubular manifold for a stock ported one. The manifold that was on it...
Got the head pulled and the cyl walls are in excellent shape with no scratches or marks. The pistons took some cyl 1 took some good shots from a valve breaking off and putting some marks in it, I just filled down the marks and it should be lright till I get a 6 bolt for it.
If my timing belt and tensioner come in this week, I'll have the car running and I'll do a compression test to see what the numbers are and I'll check the oil for metal flakes.

I put a 2g head on a 6 bolt and i am using the 1g water pipe. This would make me use a 1g thermostat housing and i wanted to double check that it would fit on a 2 head. I was told it would. I know they are different looking, i just need to know if it will bolt up.
It says to use the 2g water pipe but it seems to be 1/4 to a 1/2 inch to long. When i put it into the water pump, the thermostat housing is still about 1/2 in away from the head and it wont slide into the water pump any more.
