The A/C relay field coil is provided a power and a ground thru terminals 1 and 3.
Power and ground excite the relay coil and the electromagnetic feild produced by the coil close the contacts of the relay completing/engaging the intended circuit. So ensure the coil side is provided a power to...
So your problem is intermittent... That definitely says an electrical issue.
I posted info on 2g turbo a/c here
https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2gb-ac-circuit.517652/#post-153689500
Not the same issue in that thread but a/c compressor clutch circuit info none the less.
There is quite a bit of...
That is a pretty rapid cycle of the clutch.
Your going to need to test the a/c clutch relay control circuit.
The relay in the underhood fuse box provides power to turn clutch on.The relay itself is an electrically controlled switch.
Your going to have to get involved with some diagnostics here...
As for the impact for an occasional or non professional use Id suggest this for the price alone.
$113.99
It's in your power requirement range as well;https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-1-2-drive-1000-ft-lb-composite-impact-air-wrench.htmlPretty sure its a close relative of an air cat or...
Need to change your load scale in the direct access tab to 87% since your a 2.3.
Agree with TPS adjustment and ALS/KNOCK knock sensor control set for " in boost " monitoring.
Little short distances wont be a problem.
But I do not suggest running/idling the engine for long periods.
I have seen input shaft/mainshaft bearing damage before on various vehicles from dry transmissions and extended idling.
My 1ga had a broken speedo drive once, and it caused me severe idle control issues.
I dont know why never looked into it once the speedo went down drove it to the shop and fixed it.
But it was not happy during the ordeal.
Plenty of companies out there that make universal "A/C peanut blocks".
Might give you more options trying to adapt lines.
The trick in the correct block is the tube size/seal type and location.
Its easy to swap the two wires on the 3 terminal coil connector.Remove the colored purple or green center terminal keeper in the terminal side of the connector shell.Inside with a safety pin or the like carefully release the plastic detent locks inside the terminal shell that hold the...
Previously as stated was near floor slightly lifting from complete pedal depression is where it would engage. Now I can near adjust it to my hearts desire it seems, But I adjusted it properly .
And releases/begins engagement around abouts 1/3 to 1/2 way up the travel.
I just did my 2g rod modified 1g master install this weekend.
Definitely not a job I like to do often.
My old 1g set up, the master's rod was barely in the clevis.
That and a very low clutch release point.I needed the added adjust-ability of the master mod to get the release perfect.
I wanted...
Well I had an issue years ago Weiscos 85.5 stroker.
One cylinder in my case 4 had an oil issue.
It was the piston/ring combo. If I dig I have the pistons somewhere....they actually didn't look too bad.
But in my case the leakdown was off in the high teens .
So the original concern is smoke under boost?
Tried eliminating the pre turbo crankcase vapor feed and then drive/ recreate "smoking" conditions to see if it alleviates the issue? (Just for the purpose of diagnostics)What weight/type oil are you running?
Naa.... you'd be surprised. The right vehicle prep and most cars do fine. There is a lot of WOT. And hard braking.
Coming downhill into turn 5 is big fun.
Many carry the highest speed into turn 5.5 is a 90 degree left hander at the bottom of a hill.
Turns 7/8 are super quick also going...
I have driven both.
Autobahn is in my backyard, and a nice track.
Road America is by far my favorite *relatively* close road course.
Very fast technical track. 4 miles long road course with elevation changes & 2 long straightaways it is an intense drive.
Here is a 95 GSX essentially the 2ga version97 gsx diagrams basically the 2gb diagrams
In diagram 1 depiction of connector "B18" gives pin designations for flasher module in diagram 2
The canister in natural operation acts as a breather for the fuel tank.
Charcoal's job inside is to scrub hydrocarbon in vapor form from the air as it passes.
You add fuel the displaced air has to escape the tank.
Vice -versely the tank needs to allow air in.
If it can build a vacuum in side...
For the OP that stated he has a keydriver set up AND ECM link ....
I would say no exercise needed smart grey matter says the ability to log/set up is already in his possession.
Keydriver is basically done yes?
Does he offer upgrades still? Why even invest time in it? It's a remote blanket tune either way?Get it over with.....
Run link have the ability to log and if your into a remote tune plenty of sources that offer those services on link equip vehicles.V3 offers...
The ability to monitor air fuel ratio and the capability to tune the ECU would also be another important piece needed regardless of turbo.
But ya I agree with general consensus an mitsu 16G would serve well.
Well if you wired a dual pump set up directly with a relay and switch, I find it hard to find a correlation to throttle input?Unless the relay circuit is activated by an ECU controlled output controlled by link?On a different note, not a big fan of running pumps entirely on physical switch...
This is engine off?
Obviously not stock configuration maybe a little info into how the pumps are wired?Link did add the fuel pump prime feature with the last firmware update.
Are the pump(s) is wired to run engine off?
Agree with above that leak likely is emanating behind the timing cover from a seal.Your going to end up pulling the timing cover an inspecting.
If your soaking the timing belt with oil you need to know now as well, I wouldn't run it if wet with oil.
Leak repair and new t-belt would be my...
I'm with you even down here in Chicagoland area.
Snowed 10/30 they threw tons of salt so that ends the DSM driving season for me.I don't know about other parts of the snow belt USA and up in Canada but here in Chicagoland the put so much salt/brine mixture down the roads are near solid white...
Well why?
Relays are not a circuit protection device like a fuse or circuit breaker is.
A relay just has to survive the initial start up amperage of the load and then constant amperage draw required to maintain the circuit operation.
As long as it can do that and not build heat thru the...
Being in Kali I think your screwed.
CARB is the worst.
You wont be able to set monitors without trouble codes without those systems working on a 99 4G63 car.For EGR it looks at solenoid engagement/command and MDP changes within a specific window. Then it knows the EGR system is functional...
My 97 GSX passed in Illinois OBD test with a 95 EPROM ECU.
It has link as well and evap and EGR monitors where disabled in that year ECU.But here they are only concerned with misfire/o2 and catalyst not be disabled.
(other makes/MFG's tuning can disable some of the monitors )But passed with...
I did my 1GA H4 conversions with Hella's 008888101's.
I was running 55 watt halogens but recently converted to LED.I was worried because 1g's use a common power with ground control for hi/lo beam selection.
Was worried that the LED would not like a polarity issue but it all worked fine.
Even...
Will it clear the wheel wells inside?
Is that 14 foot measurement from inside?
Might be simpler to rent a u haul car trailer and not beat up your trailer.
Agree.....
This is a fairly decent coolant fill kit on the cheap;
https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-coolant-system-fill-kit.html?SRCCODE=PLA00020&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxcLG2fKf5QIVhP_jBx2Aqw58EAkYASABEgJDZPD_BwEThose who have a air compressor who are serious and or work on a lot of cars can get an...
Not an esy code for a DYI guy to chase .It is as the generic description states of a large system leak.
So it is unable to reach the target pressure to test the system. It being a 420 car it uses a Chrysler LDP type evaportive leak detection system.
Google LDP evap operation
Anything not...
If you just took the inlet pipe off and cleaned the throttle body on car.....Depress the gas pedal to the floor and crank the engine.
That will enable clear flood mode.Once the car starts and revs let off quickly.
I wish it where that simple to find a single signal wire ground shielded piezoelectric knock sensor with a 10 x 1.25 thread.
( as you can tell I have been seeking an alternative)
But these cars are kind of early in the knock sensor days and they seem to be a bit unique.
The 1g's and starion's...
I am in the same boat, I will likely try and confirm operation with a lab scope. They can definitely run afoul ....The only way I know of to confirm a knock sensor circuit truly is with a lap scope. But there is a test procedure in the FSM;OPERATIONThe detonation sensor is provided in...
I've have 2 NTK ID0208 on order from them for almost 3 months now.
Kind of unknown if the back order will be filled or not.Like stated above the only thing I've found readily available is the Chinese made eBay versions.
More likely it from the crankcase vent tube from the valve cover.Your valve cover feed into the inlet like stock? This is why many run PCV check valves & catch cans.
But maybe your line or clutch master has a burr or deformity causing it to thread in hard?
Take it apart and inspect it?
Do they look ok?As long as you can start it by hand and thread it in I'd say tighten it down.
Use a flare nut crowfoot or make the room for a flare nut wrench & get it tight.
Block the PCV hose temporarily to see if it alleviates your idle issues.
If the last thing done causes a concern it should be your first suspect.New doesn't always mean good.
Chase your grounds back. DSM's are super easy.
Battery to firewall
Battery to starter bolt
Intake to firewall ground strap.
Drops should not exist with those clean present and accounted for. Here is all the locations of the grounds in a !GA referred to the OEM diagrams by their number.
( oddly...
I Have a fluke 78 and a fluke 88 and a 233.
What model fluke are you using?
Is it a calibrate-able version?
How old are your leads?
I have a EECT900 snappy power probe too.....
( ^ awesome tool BTW )
Does it say the same in the DC setting? To have a bias voltage of .5 to 2.5 between chassis...
You can check the cables and connections with voltage drop tests.
Voltage drop testing done to the circuit while the problem is occurring will identify a poor cable, terminal or connection issue.
So hot and starter cranking the engine over. Probably be best to disable it from starting and...
