Damn if we aint a pair. Your car doesnt like to start and mine will run just fine but wont go anywhere.Put it all together tomorrow while my hippie ass is workin and we will see if we can get it fixed after I get off.
Can I get a log of that? The reason I ask is because I can see a 16g getting some positive pressure at 5500rpm for the simple fact that the thing is so easy to spin. Now on a 3052 I would expect you to see less if any positive pressure while just sitting at the line.
Hey think of it like this if we didn't like you we wouldn't pick on you.Enjoy those high school days man they come to a end so quickly.I have been trying to get Bones to work on his car but I think he is waiting on me to come over and do it for him. (that ought to motivate him) :tease...
It would be rather easy to get a good launch out of a 16g because of how quickly it spools. Personally I don't see any need in having it build boost off the line with a 16g.
Someone correct me if I am wrong but I thought the point of a studderbox was to allow you to find the best rev's to launch at.I thought anti-lag was to build boost off the line. Then again I could be wrong.
Put a straight edge across it and see how much it is warped. Granted a used one will be warped a little no matter how much care was used in taking it off.
This is where a dyno comes into play. We found that once you reach a certain amount of timing that it just doesn't make anymore power. On my car I see according to link about 21° timing up top and anything more than that we did not make enough power for it to be worth it.
I don't think putting a motor ON your car will make it faster.Seriously though take the same amount of time it took you to register and search this site. Every question you could ever want has probably already been asked numerous times on here.Best of luck.
I just did this on my car. Granted I have a 1g, but I used this write up Visual Frequently Answered Questions - Home Page method 1 and had no problems. I used the option where you disconnect the tie rod end and the 2 bolts holding the strut assembly to the hub and then just moved things out of...
I purchased my car with just short of 240k on the odometer from the original owner. To our surprise when I pulled the motor the cross hatching still looked fresh and the motor had never been gone into.
A friend does ssautochromes ebay sales so I will give him a call tonight and see what kind of pricing he can get on these kits. Maybe he can get the pricing back down to where it used to be or atleast make a better price for anyone who wants them.
Reading owns some people. OP asked about Journal Bearing Turbos. I don't have a pte but my journal bearing turbo is being fed from the head. So far so good, I have a little over 2k miles on this one and have beat on it very hard for its 2k mile life.
What is so hard about finding this?

OP I appologize for this thread. I just don't want people to spread misinformation about something that we are still in the learning process about.Projectgs does bring up some viable issues that is known about using this type of fuel so don't discount everything he said. I can still learn...
Im gonna poke fun at you because you can't admit you are wrong. The quote you used in the last post, was only stated after I called you out on your comment. I never once said that we (those of us using e85) were legit. I simply said that it can be done and can be legit.Take a look at...
So hopefully Quartermaster or the shop you ordered it from are taking care of this? Man you will have me looking at mine when I get it in but I am going to wait and order mine after I hear how yours turns out. HAHA you get to be the test subject.
Taken from National Ethanol Vehicle CoalitionThis is a common question asked of the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition. Unfortunately, there is no simple answer. In the strictest sense, yes, a vehicle that was designed to operate on unleaded gasoline only could be converted to operate on...
I think you and alot of people are missing the point about e85. In our case it is not for the everyday driver who can make the same power on pump gas. Also it is not a felony to convert your vehicle over to using E85. There is actually companies that make kits that are EPA approved to convert...
People should keep in mind that it is not e85 all the time. The change the blend depending on the seasons so keep in mind that as the weather changes so does the blend you are running and so will your tune.
Good try at showing the video Jack made. It can help in some situations but unfortunatly not in the ones we are seeing in this thread. My example is I am using the ACT 2600 sprung 6 puck with the act flywheel and no matter what we have done it still drags. I personally wonder if these...
What I have done in the past is go to your local auto parts store and buy a spark plug defouler. Then I would take a dremel and open it up a bit so the o2 sensor could screw into it. Then just screw the spark plug defouler into your o2 bung. What this does is it spaces the o2 sensor a little bit...
I have the passport 8500 and it likes to go off around airports with the laser alert. Was driving the wife's bmw Saturday to Spokane and about shit my pants when it went off.
Regulator caps out at about 135psi on mine. I don't have a breaker bar at the moment. That is one that list of "I need to remember to buy" next time I go out but I always seem to forget.
I have not gotten them off yet. Just not had the time to mess with it this week. I got the tranny and clutch off and it is over at EnglishRacing right now. I appreciate the offers for help. I borrowed a impact from a friend that has a rating of 600ft lbs reverse torque and it did not even budge...
Just throwing this out there if anyone is looking at slicks right now. Toyo is having a buy one get one free on their slicks to get them moving. That brings the price to around 80 each.
Maybe I am a odd ball. I made it into the 330's back a few years ago on my 16g and that was tuned by me using a safc-II and stock cams. IIRC the boost was in the low 20's.So many people have different opinions. OP don't set yourself up thinking you will get what others have gotten. Use what...
Weird, I know these clutches make alot of noise when you go to engage them. Keep me up to date as you know I will be doing the same soon. The transmission is out of mine at the moment and is getting opened back up to see if I damaged anything.
Yeah Bones called for me, we were looking for a impact gun. Been trying to get the flywheel off my car and have tried 3 different impact guns but none of them seem to have enough torque to get the bolts off.
LOL yeah I did a 3 hr road trip and luckily made it within a mile of my destination before the alt decided to retire. Hooked a jump box to the battery and made it the last mile. I have since welded a heat shield to my downpipe in a effort to block some of the heat from getting to the alternator.
Maybe I am a noob today but how can you tell if it has a 91 ecu with link? I thought the only way was either by the numbers on it or by the 2 wires that have to be switched around?
I can't say I really blame the guy. He probably has well over what he is asking for the car invested in it. As far as the track times go, I have been racing and had a printer jam or other error and not been given a slip. Not having a slip does not mean it did not happen.Dsm owners annoy me...
Doesn't seem like a bad price to me. Only real way to say though would be to see the car in person. Market in that area will really dictate the value of the car.
I wonder if RRE and JNZ are having the same shop make these lines because they look identical. OP I got home last night and got busy so I forgot to post the pics for you but my lines look identical to the ones pictured above except that I have 6 actual lines. 1 for each rear and 2 for each...
