Hi all,I'm looking to sell my 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I love DSMs, but I'm moving to Seattle and can't really afford to keep the car.The car has 78,000 miles and change on it. She runs strong, and I have a pile full of service records for the benefit of any future owner. There is a...
There was stuff that leaked from the capacitor all over the board in that area, and I'm not too good at fixing electronics. I replaced the ecu with a refurbished ecu and it fixed all of my problems. If I had more time or more confidence in my electrical abilities I would've tried fixing my old...
Upon removing my ecu and opening it up it is pretty evident that one of the capacitors leaked. The one that leaked reads on the side " G 2 A -55-105oC 9035." I'm a little confused because I thought the capacitors that had problems were the 85oC ones. Either way it seems my ecu is fried and...
One piece of information I forgot to add is that the TPS was replaced 21,000 miles ago at 39,249 in July of 2004. I'm not sure if that could have failed again or not.
I just starting having what seems to be a sensor problem yesterday.
The symptoms when the problem occurs are:
-Clicking. Sometimes only once here or there and sometimes rapidly.
-At an intersection sometimes the clicking will cause the engine to die and once the engine dies it will sometimes...
I just got a Hallman MBC to replace my Joe P that a friend wanted to buy and put it in screwed all the way out at stock boost. It boosted to 9 psi :tease: It was like driving my moms minivan (I had boost set at 15 psi before the swap) It just felt so weird, and I thought I'd ask if anyone else...
My buddy down the street has a white 1gb Laser AWD with the red plaid interior and the body trim kit. Only one I've ever seen.Edit- I Didn't see boosted92laser's post. Wow, so there are more of those.
Not to be picky and say you're wrong, and not that it matters, but it is 80 mph in some places like Texas: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,197072,00.html
Where do all you MI guys Autocross? There seems to be no autocrosses around here. Is there something I'm completely missing, or do I just not know the right people?
You can also go through where the speedometer cable runs through. Here's a good how-to on it: http://roadraceengineering.com/instructions/vdoboostgaugeinstructions.htmEdit: here's another good one too: http://www.plymouthlaser.com/pod2.htm
It's true that the fronts get the brunt of the abuse, which means front brakes wear faster, but they don't get all the road slop thrown at them that the backs do, which causes corrosion and problems. Not to say that if you have problems with the rears there won't be problems with the fronts, but...
No, they don't buy them from you, you just get the money back from your core charge when you bring back a decent core. They put a core charge on parts so you'll bring in your old ones to get your money back, which in turn gives the remanufacturer company only the cost of rebuilding. But a parts...

Check out post #5.Edit:
I wonder if anyone's tried putting the FTO 2.0L MIVEC V6 into a N/T eclipse. That would be a cool engine for an eclipse, but it would be pretty much the exact same as a FTO and really...
Did you go upstairs to the car museum at the Auto Palace? It's the personal collection of the owner of the dealership. I went up with my dad, and his friend who bought a Carrera S there. He has a 1997 Porche 911 GT1 race car driven by Paul Newman, an restored 1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra...
What we were talking about is that the current downpipe he has is already tapped for a wideband with a wideband in it, and he was wondering if it was even worth it to drill a bung in the new exhaust for this wideband. Also when I said guage I was talking about a innovate wideband, not a cheap...
He's talking about an oxygen sensor put in with a bung to add an air/fuel gauge in the car. And yes, there's only one O2 sensor on 1g's stock.Nate- It depends on what you're trying to do with this laser. If you just want it for a daily driver like you were talking about then I'd say leave it...
I've been working on this laser for a while now with gsxonjackstands, and we're sure it's a fuel problem because we've replaced the ecu, cam sensor, and injectors along with trying multiple heads, and we spend a long time making sure it was timed correctly the problem is that the injectors...
My favorite is the Kosei K1-TS (check my gallery). $199 each at the tire rack, 14.1 lbs. and made in Japan by Kosei so it's high quality all while looking good with color choices of gold, grey, orange, or silver. They are 17x7 though, but you can get them in 18x7.5 and 18x8, it just costs $275...
I agree, and also in London, they pay $6 a gallon for regular (don't believe me check out this website http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8994313/ ), and don't complain. We're just so used to cheap gas that 10 cents phases us and it's a big deal.
I have the Eagle F1 GS-D3's in the 215/45 17" and they're the nicest street tires I driven on. They stick real well in the wet. The roads were wet today and I tested them by flooring it around a wet turn, and they stuck much better than I expected (obviously swung the tail out though because it...
There was a promotional eclipse (or laser or talon, I don't remember except for that it was red) model made way back in the early nineties when they were first being sold in dealerships.
All cars do have small drums on the back like you said, and their usually referred to as "drum in hat". The concept is that the inside of the rotor has a friction surface, and cable operated pads push up against it the keep the car in place on a steep hill, or whenever you use the parking brake.
Not to dig up this old thread, but I got that 2g MAF and filter mentioned earlier, and I was wondering if I can splice that harness in and have no problems, or if it's more complicated than that, and if it can even be spliced in. Also I was wondering if a SAFC would be necessary(and I assume it...
The real question I'm trying to get at is whether I need an SAFC or what not, or whether it will runn fine plu and play on a 2g MAF. Alsoif 2g MAF is the way to go, is this...
I've got a 1g that's not highly modified as you can see in my profile(I'm running the stock ECU with no add-ons). I was wondering what the pros and cons are of a GM MAF setup versus a 2g MAF (not blow-thru) setup in terms of how easy it is (I'm not very good with computers and all those loggers)...
I don't know of any other people that make them, but Dejon products are well worth the price. I paid 180 for a UICP, and it came 2 days after I ordered it (I live in Michigan, so I'm close though), and it fit perfectly. Sorry I couldn't be of much help, but Dejon makes great products, and I...
Actually, they will, when I got my dejon powerhouse UICP they sent me the wrong pipe, and had already sent me the right piece before I sent back the old one. They have your record, so they don't expect you to do anything stupid like keep a wrong pipe and sell it or something.
