Holy cow that makes the hx35 compressor wheel look TINY.Awesome build and great times! Kicking some ass with the .55 BEP. I do wonder how the hotside will keep up although I don't doubt it will have a higher ceiling than the .55
It took quite a bit to get the trap speed back up to 132 with the auto. I went from gaining over 30mph on the big end to about 23, that's a huge difference; even with more boost, much more efficient intercooler, larger hotside, 2g head, evo3 intake etc. The info is here, how you want to...
I wouldn't be able to say what is best, but the 1-1/4" schedule 40 pipe I used comes out to 1.380" inside diameter. I don't think I've seen a common aftermarket TS manifold even close to that small of a runner. 30psi before 3000rpm was easy in 5th gear. There are always other factors but...
Thank you!12cm hotside up until recently, and no good data to back the new 16cm and non recirculation wastegate (besides a pretty good 109mph in the 1/8th). Still gets on the stock stall with ease
For what it's worth, I trapped 135.9 in a full interior AWD 5 spd with a 54mm twin scroll turbo at 30psi. With beans trapping 134 through an auto, I really don't see an issue with 140+ if it were a 5 speed. Hell, my car as it sits would likely be low 140 through a 5spd EDIT: I just noticed...
504WHP through an auto is making pretty good power, especially if it was a FWD dyno. The record for an 68HTA is 50x if I'm not mistaken by a local here, through a 5spd.Beans, I love the car! Always wondered what it ran, and even cooler that it was on a stock converter as well! Take it back...
Thank you!I'm on a 4 bolt now, the 3 bolt axles started to break pretty quick with 1.4 60's, hell even on a street tire I broke one. With Jackal I have an output that I use above 5 psi to turn my 2nd fuel pump on and ground the blue wire for full line pressure.
I'd be happy to hit 500whp through the auto. Luckily that doesn't matter as much, since you can 60' and 1/8th mile so well it will ET great for the power. Even just street tires and full interior it's been 10.5, likely making less than 500whp.The last 10.08 pass it weighed more than 2800 lb...

I noticed that the "stock replacement" Ready-Rad radiator for my 1g had a tranny cooler integrated into it. This was for a 1g, but they also only had a separate cooler from the factory. *shrug*
The key word is duty cycle. The injector is open the entire combustion cycle(intake, compression, combustion, exhaust) at 100% idc. Of course it can't be open for longer. I really don't think anyone is arguing that especially if they understand the concept. The ECU is requiring x% of the...
I've been going over ideas in my head for getting more consistent launches and be able to dial it in more, and I think I have an elegant solution.First off, the fuel cut two step kinda sucks on an auto. Controlling it by the brake switch instead of the VSS helped a lot, but the set rpm...
I'm currently using base timing at launch, and have it set at 0 BTDC and adjusted my normal timing map to compensate(+5, just have to remember that it's not face value). VSS launch control didn't work well for me at all, it tends to tap the limiter once or twice as you roll out.
Thank you :DFor my car, it was all in timing retard at the line and making sure the two step turns off immediately when I let off the brake. Allows me to leave at 3250 rpm and near 20psi.Over the winter I'll set up the car so boost is limited at the line(instead of rpm) so I can finely...
Very nice run! I love that you still drive it to and from the track :)My car really started breaking parts once I got into the low 1.4 60's... Another 3000lb+ on stock drivetrain.Really looking forward to some more results!
Thanks Robert!I have some evo8 struts and springs I will play around with and maybe put some DSM lowering springs on them, haven't been too focused on that aspect yet though. Power came first :)

Damn straight, went [email protected] info and times later in this thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drag-strip/450069-hx35-10-3-a.htmlWith the 5 speed I'm pretty sure I'd be in the upper 130 range since it went 135.9 on 30 psi a while back. I'm going through the traps at 8500ish rpm...

It was nice seeing you there, 95talongirl! Really unexpected, didn't realize you were so close.Stock converter, no nitrous. Stock flexplate still, too :p
The manifold I made specifically for this turbo.
Is there any way to edit the title? The first pass of the day I broke the tcase output shaft. Slapped the spare tcase on then made another pass, the [email protected] 1.42 60' only going part throttle off the line cause I was scurred. AFR was really rich when I glanced at the gauge, low...
Exhaust housing is the factory 12cm^2. I have a 16cm housing but I'm not sure how it will work with the stock convertor. It probably would, but take a looong time. That and the intercooler are probably my two bottlenecks now.I'm using the "NLTS" two step so it immediately turns off once the...
Thanks :)I will probably be going back this Sunday to try for a full pass with a better 60' and 35psi. It went the same mph(129) at 30 psi and 1ghead/intake so I'm really hoping for 132-133 mph since that should be enough power to get that magic number. I'm sure there is more in the 60' too...
Quick update:[email protected] psi, 1.49 60'mph was a little lower than expected but only got one run since I broke the front yoke the next pass. (except for the FWD pass after I dropped the driveshaft :P)

Pump gas and e85 may also be a factor Tom(Crash89), but overall there is a definite difference. I had a few PM's back and forth with an SR20 guy about twin scroll hx35 setups and it seems like the smaller diameter primaries may be part of why my car spools so well. The difference between my...

I used the base timing connector wire(i think yellow with red stripe) off the ecu to force base timing. I tee'd an extra wire into it through an on/off switch(so its not always enabled) and then to the brake pedal switch relay that also controls the launch limiter. With the on/off switch off I...
The 1g and 2g o2 housing castings are nearly identical besides the o2 sensor placement so unless there are fitment issues, don't bother swapping.Non-recirc on an internally wastegated stockish frame turbo just seems like you're looking for attention IMO. Low boost(wastegate opening sooner)...
Car will run just fine without it, won't hurt anything, the ecu won't know the difference etc etc it just obviously won't get past 0 psi. It would be exactly the same as never getting into boost; I'm not sure where the re-occurring idea that the car won't run or will damage something without a...
Has a known good power transistor/igniter/ignition control module, etc etc been swapped? I've had 2 bad ones in a row with the same set of outputs failed that sent me chasing my tail before...Worst comes to worst you can swap the trigger wires(black w/blue stripe for coil 1&4 and brown w/red...
The mere thought of a low 1.2 60' on an AWD drivetrain is insane, but watching that video really puts it into perspective!Extremely impressed, as always :thumb:
It is divided up until the base of the valve, and the divider is shaped to the profile of the valve. The gases would have a hard time mingling until the valve opens. I could see it negating a lot of the twin scroll spool up by not doing this with a single wastegate.
Last winter we put a...
Awesome job Dustin!!!All the pieces finally came together :) As far as I know that makes you the first bolt-on BEP HX35 in the tens :rocks: Great way to end the season.
