sounds like a vacuum leak behind the throttle plate, make sure your thottle body gaskets are there, the little o-ring for the IAC isnt missing, all the hoses are hooked up, brake booster, fuel reg., map sensor o-ring, and EGR lines, and if something isnt pulling on the throttle. .
ive done the swap to my 98 GST. . the hardest part is cutting the hole in the firewall for the master cylinder. . .everything else is just nuts and bolts. . I reused the auto axles and the center console since the shifter boot just screws in the bottom . . if you need info on the parts that you...
Mitsubishi Eclipselol i wish there was some way to get rid of the license plate. . o well put your had over it. .2003 Eclipse GTS--Customized2 rear deck wings included!!! sweet! one for racing and one for.......fast racing.
also keep your out of state license. . if you are stopped the cop is going to ask why the car is registered out of state and you got a Cali license?. . which isnt a fun story to make up, lol
did he leak down test the engine to see if its the rings or the valves? pick a part and ecology have heads like that all day long. . they came on other Chrysler products too Neons, and Sebrings. . stuff like that, since it is a Chrysler engine.
best way to test an EVAP system is to seal the system and fill it with smoke from a smoke machine, a local smog tech should be able to test the system for you and look for leaks. EVAP problems could be anything. . overfilling the car with gas causes the liquid gas into the charcoal canister and...
i had a stage 3 Clutchmasters Kevlar clutch . . . freaking loved it, I could put passes on it all night and it never slipped. . 5000rpm launches and 1.7 60 foots on Costco tires and 16 year old suspension. lol good times
yup power transistor for sure. . take it off and see connections have a white film on them, they are not repairable and are a little over 100 bucks at the autozone.
just get a new one they are cheap. . and coat it with the copper gasket spray in the copper aerosol can. . (cant think of the name) i use it on all exhaust gaskets and have never had one fail on meon an emissions note, if the car has a small exhaust leak it could fail emission test for N0x...
the way to test them is to take it off and shake it. . if it rattles its good. but the spring inside could also be broken too sooo. . . they are like 2-3 bucks just buy one if you have never replaced it. . they last about 30-40K.
+ on that even if they do, they dont have it in stock. . lol fail!i would also try jackstransmissions.com they build some stout little engines from what i have seen and they seem a little less $$.
as long as its a n/t 4g63 intake manifold im sure its the same, if its not the bov line just needs manifold vacuum, which is anything behind the throttle body in the manifold
swap the fans and see is the other turns on as well on a know good connection, things like motors, relays sensors and stuff that moves are the most ofter cause of a problem cause they are what is doing the work.
its more then likely a rod knock. . time for a rebuild. . no amount of oil additive can save you or fix it. . all that stuff is just junk. . if have bad bearing how is some liquid going to replace the babit or tang the (metal part) on the bearing??
have you tried taking the A/C belt off? maybe the compressor is starting to go and dragging, they usually make horrible noises right be for the freeze up and die. . maybe a boost leak test? any CEL?
maybe check the transistor pack too, it can cause some weird problems. especially going from a 90 to a 91-94 ecu or vise-versa, because the transistor pack is wired different.
from what I understand the 1g non turbo transmissions are are weaker, but can be used in a pinch and bolt right up. stock turbo power levels probably wouldnt kill it right away unless you race it everywhere.
just my .02 . . . but that fuel injector stuff is snake oil. . . i dont think its the best way to clean the injectors, i mean how do you clean something with the material that is making it dirty?? its like washing a dirty car with dirty water and adding some soap to the mix. . . i would say...
+1 sounds good me ?? loleven if you had everything to run 20psi, why start that high? logically is it not better to start low then work your way higher?? even with the correct logger?

more then likely is the 80amp fuse in the fuse box, under the hood, they are held in by small 8mm or 10mm bolts that are down low on the side of the fuse, so dont just start pulling on them. good luck!
have you opened the ECU up to check for leaking caps?? and the 90 ecu is different because of the way the transistor pack is setup which pretty much controls the ignition system
an o2 wont stall the car or make it shut off, check the basics, air fuel, spark. after that try anything that will control the idle, IAC and such, then on to crank and cam position sensors, usually when a computer detects something way out of range it will substitute a value and run with that...
yeah the mail is an issue, if the law ever decides to investigate they will be looking to see how much mail goes to the registration address, and if its only 1 car's registration..they are going to be pissed.
