Bro... I didn't realize that you got some of your stuff jacked. As for east side meets, I'm down if we can get a good group put together. I don't mind going over to the west side for meets, but it would be nice to have a good turnout over on our side of the mountains.
I wouldn't suggest putting the Heavy Duty Shockproof Gear oil in your freshly rebuilt tranny. I'm not saying that it would do any sort of harm, but the Shockproof Gear oil is mainly used in the transfer case or rear diff and is extremely thick. For a freshly rebuilt tranny I would stick with...
You don't need to spend an ungodly amount of money in order to obtain a quaility product that is just as safe or safer then your OEM seats. That's not to say that you should just go out and buy the cheapest thing you find. Do your homework. Does the company producing the product stand behind it...
Holding the clutch in with your foot will lead to premature sneaker wear out. With the cost of kicks these days, do yourself a favor and let the clutch out at the lights. :)Downshifting into 2nd gear is perfectly fine when done properly (even better when double clutched).Never attempt to...
I've got a set of Megan Racing seats that look great and are perfect for a daily driver. Like said above, if you're going strictly for performance, go with something more performance orientated. If you drive your car every day or even just casually around town, go with something more...
You're telling me! I had to pull off some of my most fanciest ricer driving skills to try and make a sudden exit when we hit the SouthCenter exit. I'm not sure who it was that was behind me, but it's too bad they didn't get THAT on video.
Yea. What I'm thinking of is just replacing the stock 6x9's with some of these 6" ED subs and then just getting a nice component setup for the front. Those rear 6x9's, IMO, are pretty much worthless. If I needed more rear mids/highs, I could always custom cut some smaller sized speakers into...
Those look nice!Do you think that these would work good as a replacement to the crappy 6x9's in the back of the 2g's or do these things need to be boxed?
No... there were plenty of pics being taken. I can't count how many times I seen a flash go off during that cruise.C'mon now... don't be stingy with the pics! :D
I know I'm digging up an old thread, but I'm wanting to hardwire one of those cigarette lighter splitters with a USB charger (you can find them on ebay for like $6). What I don't know is exactly how would I hardwire the cord that has the cigarette lighter adapter to it?
Yea, me too. I can't decide if I wanna go flat screen or flip out. I'm worried about the shifter getting in the way of the screen if I decide to flush mount a flat screen in there..
You may want to get your screen before you finish all the fiberglass/bondo work so that you can mold the outside frame of the screen into your center console trim piece. If you look on ebay, you can find the '08 Lilliput LED backlit VGA Touchscreen's for like $240.
+1 for needing to have the ash tray and cup holder. I even cringe at the thought of getting rid of my DIN pocket underneath my head unit.As for the fiberglass work, I think it looks great! Do you plan on installing a flat screen in the opening for your stereo?
You're right! I actually plan on relocating it, but because it is such a PITA, I planned on having it done when I get a new clutch. If I realized I could've done it when I took my OEM intake manifold off, I would've done it then. Dammit! I did, however, remove my A/C pump and all the...
I know that the majority of members on this site shun the use of bodykits, but I thought I heard of a company that made a rear diffuser that fit the Blitz rear end. Is this correct? And if so, where can I find one!?! That's all I would need to complete the look for my ride.
Just wanted to throw this out there as another option for everyone doing a wire tuck. When it came to the Power Transistor, I removed it from the IM and kept that metal bracket on it and then bolted it to the underside of the IM. There's 2 bolts that hold your manifold brace to the underside of...
So, I got my car back from the dealership tomorrow AND I've got this Sunday free'd up, so as long as mother nature cooperates, I'll be there. On a side note, is there a car wash somewhere close to where we'll be meeting up at? I know for a fact my ride will be filthy after coming over the pass.
Zak, I've got a Millennium 3 board that I bought 3 seasons ago and have only used twice that I'd be willing to sell you, if you got the cash. It's got brand new Drake strap on bindings and, depending on what size of boot you wear, I could even throw in a brand new pair of boots too all for $225...
I don't f*ck around when it comes to making something look nice. If I can't do it or don't feel comfortable doing it... I'll pay somebody that can. I know a few bodyshop guys that I'm sure could do it no prob.I think I'll try and mount a few USB ports up front to the right of my voltmeter...
Good point. Even if you wanted to watch some music video's or something you could always put them onto a flash drive. Hmmm... I'm leaning more and more towards just intalling a flush mount Lilliput Touchscreen. Even my chick likes that a lot better then the flip out.Do you guys think that the...
I seen that thread on there the other day. Where is your DVD drive installed at with that setup? I kinda like that with your deck below the flip out, but I also like how clean it looks with just one unit up front. Either way, it looks good.Infinite - I too was curious as to what front end...
LOL I like how you made damn sure that people don't get the wrong idea... especially when you roll up to deliver a $12 pizza in a 500+ HP DSM. TAKE THAT YOU PUNK AZZ HIGH SCHOOLERS! LOL
I'm sure I could make it work if it was just a single unit that didn't require access to it on a regular basis. The only other option that I can think of that would look good and be functional would be to somehow mold the docking station into the trunk. Hmm... I do need to make a new trunk...
I had that same idea. I just can't think of a convenient place to dock the laptop. Normally under the seat would be perfect, but with my aftermarket seats, the brackets sit so low that it's nearly impossible to get things in or out of under there.
Delivering Pizza!?! Like Zak said... you're not working at PINA anymore?Fair enough about the pass... if Mitsu is done with it by this weekend, I'll bring it on over, rain or shine (or snow).
Do you have pics of this? I'm assuming that you're referring to your 2g for this setup?I'm curious as to how you actually mounted the drive with the SRS unit right there.
I see that a majority of Car PC users go with a screen that is flush mounted into their dash. With this type of setup, where would install your DVD drive in order to make it convenient to use?I personally would prefer an in-dash flip out monitor only because I feel that having the screen...
I know what you mean about hating the attention sometimes. In my case, because my car is kit'd and fairly clean looking, if I'm with a group of DSM's and some ass hat rolls up looking for a race, I'm usually the first person they go to. I hate when they sit there nagging and begging you to race...
For the record, I'm still unsure if I'll make it over in my car. It's still at the shop, but they did say last Wednesday that the x-fer case was en route. Once they get it in, it'll only take a few hours to get it finished. So, they have all this week (assuming that they will actually receive it...
I was looking for a response from you, Infinite. I've seen a few of those Lilliput touchscreens around, are they supposed to be pretty good? Also, I'll definitely check out MP3car.com. Thanks for the heads up.
So, I've done a bit of searching on here and on a few other websites, but I'm still a bit confused on exactly what I would need, and how it would all go together, to have a working in dash carputer. My goal is to have an setup that would allow me to have access to my music library, Ipod...
