This is my car for now. I miss my Talon but this isn't too bad, right hand was really weird getting used to at first, but now it's fine.
Obviously I don't have a DSM anymore so I don't jump on this forum too much but I really miss it, so I thought I'd show you guys a few pictures of the new car.

This was taken with a Canon Rebel XTi and the Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens.Haha, wow, that would be way too long for me. I'm in the 345th right now, but I originally started out in the 342nd doing Combat Control until my knee really started bothering me, so I got re-classified into Materiel...
I'm in the Air Force now and I'm down here at Lackland AFB in Texas for tech school and every once in a while I get a chance to take a few pictures. Thought I'd show you guys one that came out pretty good.
I will always try to make my HDR's from separate exposures, just because it comes out better that way, but when I have no choice I will use one RAW. Every picture I posted is an HDR believe it or not, some look more so than others, but I use it a lot to bring out detail and every picture was...
I sold my car a while back so I haven't been on here in quite some time. I've been doing a lot of photography though and thought you guys might like to see a few pictures of mine.
Hey, thanks for all the replies everyone.Yeah, the 10-22mm is definitely awesome. I love my Canon but I've heard great things about the Sigma 10-22. What do you shoot with, Nikon, Canon?
Thanks a lot, and you're right, some of it is HDR. I've been experimenting around with it, it's pretty cool. I'm using a Canon Rebel XTi. More importantly, to me anyways, when using a D-SLR, is the lens. The lenses I used in the pictures are:Canon EF-S 10-22mm - #1,2,4,6,8
Canon EF-S...

Sean, I forget, but what branch of the military were you in? I'm guessing you're out now since your profile says government contractor, what is that though? Blackwater or something like it? The video and pics. are cool though. I'm actually going into the Air Force special forces real soon...
Thanks a lot. All photos were originally shot in RAW, but some were also bracketed in camera as well. I would rather just bracket every shot but you really can't without a tripod and I didn't want to have to try to set up a tripod with everyone walking around. The low shot of the Viper and...
Thanks guys.
Camera is a Canon Rebel XTi and a Canon EFS 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens was used. All photos except for the 5th and 7th are HDR edited with Photomatix Pro. 5 and 7 are un-edited.Here are a few more, I loved that CTS, so I'll post another of it as well.
That looks awesome as well. I really don't mean to steal your thunder but in the spirit of pictures of clean 1gs taken by professionals....this was my old 1g.
Taken by a friend (who I consider a professional)
They're all really good pics, but I've seen angles such as 1,2 and 4 done a million times.3 is definitely the winner, it looks by far the most professional :thumb:
great looking car too
I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if that 40% margin is true, if not probably more. I guess my point being is that they are nowhere close to being able to offer a TB of storage on the iPod. I mean, I'll agree that they might be able to double the 16GB to 32GB and take a hit on that...
I'm sure they could, but who wants to pay for that? That's the thing with Apple which is cool is that their prices really don't change that much, year in and year out you can just about be guaranteed that the iPod will be around $300-$400. Once it's possible for them to manufacture an iPod...
I'll try to make this quick.
LG has a video contest on youtube for everyone to make a video with the theme "Life's Good When". Well, my younger brother was working on one for the contest when his Macbook Pro got stolen with only a few days left till the deadline. Fortunately he saved his raw...
I'm not saying you don't get taken care of, I've got family in the military and they're doing great. My main point being was that, imo, you don't join the military to get rich, you join because you want to protect this country and the freedom of others. There is a higher reason of importance...
Who here has even heard of these guys? The more people I talk to, the more it seems like nobody even knows about them. As of right now, it's what I plan on doing come this January.
Just to clear things up, it wasn't my laptop that was stolen and I wasn't the one to leave it in the car. Second of all, whoever broke into the van did so because they were originally going for some tools, the laptop was not even visible at all. It was tucked under the seat in a black bag...
This last Friday I was working in D.C. with my two brothers and when they came out to the van to grab something, the back lock had been bashed in, not real sloppy, it only looked like it took one quick hit right on the lock. When they checked inside the van, my younger brother's new Macbook Pro...
Even though I believe you should wait for marriage until you have kids, neither I, nor anyone else has the right to judge you because everyone make mistakes. What you did though, was turn a mistake, into something amazing by keeping the child and because of that, I have an incredible respect...
If it were me, I'd just go with the D40x and the 18-55mm lens. Kit lenses generally aren't that great and you're probably going to want something nicer in the future anyways. That is though, if you do plan on getting more lenses. If you are just picking up a new DSLR because you want one and...
Instead of starting a new thread I figured I'd just contribute to this. So far I love my new Rebel XTi. I guess it's just one of those things, you have to use a DSLR to see how nice they can be over point and shoots, don't get me wrong, there are still some very nice point and shoots out...
Wow......that was awesome."Coach, there are many other cars out there, what do you tell your drivers?""I always tell them the same thing, look out the windshield. If you see a race car over there, don't drive into that place."Hahaha
I never heard that but I can definitely see how that would get her in to trouble because in 7th Heaven (name of the TV show) she was in what was supposed to be a Christian family with the Dad being a pastor and all.
Yeah, Panasonic does an excellent job with their TV's. How do you have your Xbox 360 and PS3 hooked up though? You're running it at least component right?
There's a lot of reasons. First of all, it takes a while for projectors to warm up and cool down when you turn them on and off, that could be real annoying every time you just want to watch TV. Second of all, it has to be dark for a projector to look good, like really dark. If it's much light...
I don't get what the big deal is. Is your brother just that bad and conniving that he'd actually steal your car? I just tell my brother not to drive my car and that's that. I seriously think that he's just giving you a hard time, trying to make you worry about stuff you don't need to.
I would suggest against a Plasma actually, they're kinda overrated. If you're gonna get a flat panel, I'd really suggest an LCD, and now they're getting pretty affordable. I would even do a DLP rear projection over a Plasma, but that's me.
How do you get on the calendar? I don't have my car anymore but I have a really great rolling shot of it and I'd kinda like to see it on there as a last little hoorah.
I have a few pictures I could post but the highest it seems any photo site will let me post is 1024 x 768. Anybody know of any good sites that will host high resolution images?
I just ordered the Rebel XTi. After narrowing everything down, I was having trouble deciding between the Rebel XTi or the Nikon D40x so I talked to a friend with a Nikon D200 and he told me to just get the Canon. I'll post some pictures once it gets here and I'm able to take a few.
One thing I'd like to point out, that 12x zoom is actually 3x optical, 4x digital. So whenever you digitally zoom in on an imagine, you're losing image quality, just something to remember. The SD900 is still a great camera none-the-less.As for a camera suggestion, I would have to say the...
I've had a Canon Powershot S3 for a few months now and while for a point and shoot, it's amazing, I think I want to upgrade to a DSLR now. I'm almost dead set on the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. The only thing holding me back is that I'm not sure if I want to spend that money right now. I'm also...
If you really need the money, the smartest thing to do would to just trade for the bike and sell it. If you're not strapped for cash, I'd just hang on to the car because you know you'll miss it, especially having it for 6 years. To me it's really a question of whether you need the money or not.
