    My cousin has a 90 talon and he had to cross the wires as you did to run the 92 ecu in his car but he didn't have to change anything else. So yes im sure the car will run, you just won't have a tach Luke

    Look if you don't want to put in the topline then go oem, if you want to put in the topline then do that, but i honestly wouldn't put my old oil pump on after a rebuild. Thats just asking for trouble later down the road. Im not saying that people don't get a lot of miles before the original goes...

    There are many posts about this subject. But from what i've seen there are more people who choose oem oil pumps than topline. As long as you lube up the gears before you try and run it you should be fine. Just for fyi i got an oem pump. :dsm:

    The only things i can think of that would cause you not to have spark is: wires, plugs, transistor pack, coil pack, maybe your cas is screwed, or ecu. But there may be others that have had this problem. My cousin is actually and we still haven't figured out whats goin on luke
  13. Huge miss I can't diagnose

    If youre not getting spark and its not your cas or coil pack, it could be your transistor pack. I didn't have spark and i changed all my plugs wires my cas and coil pack. The transistor pack was bad.

I thought since i had the maf-t and maf on there instead of stock mas air i would unplug it and try to start it.     Well sir im not completely sure about his however; I believe the reason your engine rpm's rise when you engage the clutch is so the engine won't stall out. Think about it if the engine is at the same rpm that it engages at then that means you would have to accelerate (or push on the gas pedal)...

    Yeah you could do a jdm swap however for the price you can rebuild your motor. You can piece together your motor or buy a kit. Slowboy sells the topline kit for 500 i think and then all you have to do is get it machined and put it together. Recondition your rods and put some arp bolts in them...

    This is true however you will have a harder time of tuning the 9:1 than the 8:5. Also you would be able to raise the boost a little more and be able to tune it easier using the 8:5. Don't get me wrong there are tons of people that use 9:1 and do great, its just easier to tune 8:5 on high boost...
