Any discounts for shipping? I used to order from Rockauto all the time, but the shipping makes it not worth it anymore, especially when parts are coming from 3 different warehouses and you get nailed for shipping from each one. I most recently needed pads and rotors for my wife's Mustang and...
Some harnesses they used the same despite options. Like on my wife's 97 Spyder, she has manual mirrors, but the wiring is there for power mirrors. If you get a harness and it bothers you that it has wires for options you don't have, take the wires out of the harness.
Before winter hit, I dropped the engine and transmission from the talon into her and threw on some Drag wheels I got in a trade. Waiting on the warmth to come back to start working on it again
If the nuts are that rusted, good luck getting the axles out of the hubs. The last time I dealt with one that was really bad, I replaced all the parts on the side I was working on. Took forever to source axles also because at the time nobody was offering replacements.
I just recently installed a Kicker 10" powered sub box in my truck and it really surprised me. It was perfect for what I wanted and everyone that hears it is impressed, especially when I show them how small the box is. It was $180 at Walmart.
RaptorAnderson--That deck is over priced in that link. I have the avh-x2800bs in my truck and it's a pretty good deck. The app radio function of it was not what I expected though. I've never been a fan of Pioneer subs, there are better that are similarly priced. Check out Sonicelectronix.com...
They are called the upper knuckle bushings. There is a seller on ebay that sells the Prothane ones, without having to buy the whole kit. I got mine from him.
I ordered a $100 downpipe from speeddaddy on eBay and was surprised by the quality of it. Other than having to rotate the flange that meets up to the catback, it fit perfect. The flanges were flat and the flex section seemed to be good quality. I guess its the luck of the draw with companies...
I used spray can aircraft stripper that I found at Advance Auto to strip powder coat off a valve cover. Worked really well and it said that it was nuetralized by water.
You can unplug the dimmer switch and jump 2 of the wires to make the dash lights work. I don't remember which 2, but there is a post about it on here. I had to do it on my buddy's car because his dimmer switch turned out to be bad.
Check out the freelance section of the classifieds, you might find something that interests you;)....that is the route I'm going if I ever get money again
Does anyone know if the new Megan Racing rear toe arms will work on a 2g AWD? I need new arms and would like to get these, just need to be 100% sure these will work. Thanx in advance.
I had the same problem. I called Megan and they didn't know when they would have them again. Every site that listed them were also out of stock. I was going to get the Punishment DP, but they were out of stock also and they say that they won't work with a stock O2 housing. I ended up...
Miller Import sells junkyard rockers for $200 the last time i checked. There is post on here, I think it's in the build section, of a guy that did extensive rust repair with a lot of pics. Good luck man, I'm in the same situation. I think I'm going to end up finding another shell though...
I'm stuck in the same situation---need a 2G awd downpipe. The SIM looks good, also considering a Speed Daddy (I know--ebay junk). I just need to get my exhaust on because my current one is falling apart. Anyone know if either one of these bolt up to a Megan catback?
I contacted Megan directly and even they don't know when they will get them. They said maybe 5-8 weeks. That sucks that it necks down to 2.5" at the back section.
I just scored a Megan Racing catback for cheap and was looking to get a Megan downpipe, but apparently they are backordered everywhere. My current exhaust is rotted and need to put my newly acquired exhaust on. Any ideas on different downpipe that will work with stock O2 housing and Megan...
I just went through this with a greddy type s that I bought that was also missing that fitting. It is NOT a 1/8 npt fitting, but rather the other european 1/8 thread (BST or something) that is tapered. I ended up stealing one off of a greddy boost control selunoid I had. good luck.
Try using a piece of longer pipe over the breaker bar to give you more leverage. I have done this many times with stubborn bolts and it usually works, unless they are completely rust welded. Good luck.
