I am having this same problem in my 97 GSX w/ EPROM & KeyDiver Stage3. I chipped 2 exhaust valves for cyl #2. so i tore apart my head, replaced the valves, and put it back on. Now I am getting P0300 a lot too, and sometimes its actually giving a cylinder number (i.e. P0302, P0303).
Dude, you don't need to take anything off to get the alternator belt on.....just loosen the slider bolt from below the car, and you should have a tensioner bracket on the top/front of the alternator, and loosen that up as well. You then should have enough play to slip the belt back on.
Yeah.....no doubt. I think the problem is that you are visiting shops that do not know much about DSM's OR DSMLink..... :toobad:Every single reputable shop I have talked to has praised DSMLink....
Hmm.....that would make sense....I think I have a warped throttle body. I did a boost leak test and I had mass air coming out of there. So, until I can afford a used 60mm TB, I just put 2 extra gaskets on each side of the TB (using gasket maker), and also used some high-temp silicone on the...
Even with an chipped EPROM and a S-AFC, you may still have problems with fuel cut. I am fighting it now....running about 25lbs of boost with an EPROM with KeyDiver Stage 3....I am still so confused as to why I am fuel cuttin. Here are my mods....maybe somone has an idea....? Thanks97...
OMG!! Has anyone else had problems with these head gaskets???? I just put one on....I did a valve replacement in Cyl #2 because of 2 chipped exhaust valves.....ended up picking up the 4-layer from a local guy for like $40 brand new, and still in the packing. Why are these head gaskets so...
It is not so much your piping that causes you to have to remove your foglights. It is usually because of the size of intercooler you are running. Mine is a Spearco 31.25x9.25x3.5 FMIC....so there is NO WAY of keep the stock fog lights....although....I would rather have my huge FMIC up there than...
Yeah....you never really know what you are getting when buying cars that are in that condition....I would not pay that price for the car.Also....as someone already said...if it was overheating and having other problems then, chances are, those problems created even more problems within the...
Yes....there are several answers to your problem. I would DEFINITELY not offer him too much money, because you just don't know until you tear down that head. You may get lucky and have it be just the head gasket.....but something tells me that it is not just the head gasket. You probably have...
Wow man, that is awesome!! You should link to some pics!!Also....the figures on NADA and KBB are usually a wholesale price (or trade in value), which is usually SIGNIFICANTLY less than a private party value, or retail value. Just thought I'd put in my .02....
Yes....it is probably not the safest thing to be talking about, not to mention it also makes the owners of DSMTuners in a tight legal position. They could possibly be held liable if something were to happen....it is just a hairy subject that should not be talked about.
For the most "up-to-date" Spokane DSM meeting times and arrangments, check out the forums at www.SpokaneSpeed.com"Ok, we are meeting in the corner parking lot of the old parking lot for Montgomery Wards (what is now Burlington Coat Factory). The exact location, is the SOUTHEAST corner of...
Well...as some of you know, a few of us from Spokane, WA have been networking and getting together as many DSM'ers here as we can find. There will be about 4 or 5 of us so far that will meeting up, but anyone with a DSM is welcome. We are planning to meet up for a few nights this week/weekend. A...

RS's and GS's are weak shit. They are truly NOTHING like the GSX or GS-T and should have NEVER been made under the Eclipse name............lolSorry.....j/k...
That's pretty nice. What mods do you have on it, Brandon? We should get together with Eric from Deer Park as well. We should all meet up sometime this week.
Hell yeah bro. Thanks for the nice comments.....she is beautiful...I got really lucky. I am a tuner myself, so I would have rather built up this car myself, but I just couldn't pass this up when my year-long search for the right GSX concluded. The guy that had it before me took AMAZING care of...
