If you're not keen on building a DG spec setup or spending big for KW, another option is Feal coilovers. They are the only off-the-shelf coilovers available with spherical bearings in the top mounts and shock dyno matched dampers...
I did the rears on my own car and it turned out fine. I rented an Eastwood fender roller from a local guy for $20. Just make sure to adequately warm the paint with a heat gun and take your time. All you want to do is roll the inner lip found on the rears. I don't see a need for doing the...
I have a question for those of you who have installed the Prothane "total" urethane suspension kit on their 2g. It pertains to the one bushing in the kit that is NOT the simple split design that makes installation so easy. This is bushing C-10042 shown in diagram below that is used for the...
I have 17x9 +35 Enkei RPF1 that I bought three years ago but wussed out and got them with 235 tires. I just rolled my rear fenders last month and plan on stepping up to 255 soon.
Will the Binary Brake Ducts fit for those of us running EVO Brembo calipers? I was thinking about pulling the trigger on these but thought I'd see what thoughts are on fitment.installed on an EVO...
I will be installing a 1g TB in my car as well and plan to remove the FIAV. I was hoping to ask a related question without entirely jacking the OP's thread. Can ECMlink simulate the FIAV? i.e. can the car be tuned in a manner to compensate for the removal of the FIAV? Or are rough cold...
I will be changing some things on my car this winter. I will be getting ECMlink V3 and want to run speed density. Also, I will be changing the stock 2g intake manifold and throttle body in favor of an EVO III intake manifold and 1g turbo throttle body. I plan to remove the EGR and as much of...
Ferodo DS2500 are awesome pads. I've been really pleased with their performance. They are pricey though.. I paid $315 for front and rears pads for EVO Brembo calipers. I can't see many DSMers spending that much on brake pads.
The PR FMIC does not come with the correct piping to meet the stock Garrett T25 compressor outlet. You will need this additional pipe to make it work.http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/ETS-95-99-Eclipse-2G-DSM-T25-Pipe.html
Fantastic brochure.. very nice to see. I feel a little melancholy looking through those pictures though, knowing that the Normal plant will be closing soon. I need to make it to Factory MOD this year; the last one ever! One final "hurrah!"
You posted that you cut the clockspring wiring, but your horn is still working? Is that correct?if you did cut the clockspring wiring and remove it, neither your horn or self-canceling turn signals should work.
As mentioned, you can run the driver side airbag wiring through a resistor and this will prevent the SRS light from being triggered. You can find the needed resistor here.Unfortunately, this alone will not turn off the SRS warning light. Once the dash light is on, it's stuck on. It can be...
I run only the rear RM bar and stock front and there is a noticeable reduction in understeer (in autocross) from the stock setup. I've never had both installed though so I cannot offer any insight there.
the brake booster line off an EVO will work. JNZ Tuning has them.http://www.jnztuning.com/product_info.php?products_id=4077&osCsid=2fc565658eab6472d0c736f06a95640e
does anybody know what size the screws are that hold the clock spring assembly in place on the steering column? My clock spring was removed and I'm looking to put it back in, but I do not have the screws that hold it in place. thanks!
mine was always fine.. I mean really very quiet. Then I got prothane motor mounts and did a black interior swap (including the dash). Now it rattles. Never had a problem before I started messing with the car though. This is self-inflicted!
pretty common.. I get emails from pay-pal.com (notice the dash) asking me to update my account info. Obviously it's scam. I just delete those emails. Just have to be careful and don't trust phishing emails.
