"Tsunari" will be attending too, if you could please add him to the list. He's the one that told me about this meet and hasn't even put his name in yet--what a bum!!BTW, I love the "Hello, my name is..." sticker idea.
I heard about this meet and there are a million pages to read through...But I'm just posting to say that I'll be there.Hopefully, I'll be driving my Eclipse too if she is running and healthy.
Thanks for the info so far guys.Yeah- you're right, I'll definitely just not even do anything until it's running again. No point anyway.I would imagine I'll have no problem passing the one-time safety inspection. It's just the emissions I wonder about. My roommate has been living here...
Hey MD people.I am moving to MD from VA and I have a '97 turbo'd RS. The emissions have been removed from the car and it's quite modded. In fact- it's not even back together yet. I'm not sure what to do. It did not need emissions test where it was in Chesterfield, VA.-Should I go...
Hey MD guys.Be on the lookout for a post on the annual DSM meet at George Mason University. It's in Fairfax, VA....just a short drive down 95/495. See you all in March.
It won't make a difference. Your amps and subs will...but really, with the brand you bought, I'm not sure how much "performance" it'll stand up to. I wouldn't put money into the Sonata if I were you.You can find a DSM if that's what you really want. There's plenty around if you take the time...
haha I just so happened to run across this thread.
Justin will be happy to see his old RS running the streets again and I'm happy my motor could power it. :)
Honestly, researching the proper fuel setup for the turbo'd 420a is really confusing.I hear so much about "to hell with the safc!" and things like "you need a (S)FMU".I've talked to one company that built a 420a running 20-something PSI, and they had the FMU, the MSD stuff, ect. And they...
Well, I plan to be there next year. Too many have passed that I didn't go.I see David's point...maybe AWD8yerV8 is just taking the way David words himself the wrong way.Personaly, I think the 48 or so arrests out of the probably THOUSANDS of people there is not that bad. People are...
So from what I read here, if we don't want MegaSquirt...we get our bigger injectors, a S-AFC, and a FMU...correct?What does FMU stand for?If I have a S-AFC, will I need a air/fuel gauge, or will all that information be in the AFC?I'm doing research to turbo the 420a.In my list...
Why? I thought I read that's one of the things you don't need. Can't you just take out the plastic piece that says Park Neutral Drive etc so that a boot can be put in its' place?
I did a search and looked in this forum, but I didn't find any writeups on what all is needed to do a auto to manual swap in a 2Gb NT.Anyone got solid info? Thanks.
My friend's uncle is a tow truck driver and saved me when I broke down at Mitsubishi of all places. I saw him a year later when I was with my friend and he asked how the car was. I said she had been doing great ever since..... but I guess she wanted another tow ride, because she broke her...
Yeah, they're definately hot wheels. The original RS wheels...I have no idea what happened to them after I replaced them with GSX wheels. Then I sold the GSX wheels. I got the chrome GST wheels from a friend and use them as my winter wheels.
I found mine in my garage....because Daddy gave it to me (but it's me that's kept that car up all these years). She was a leased car for a short while and came straight from Mitsu lots.Waiting for someone to buy my Spec V so I can find my 2G GSX or GST....I've been dreaming on AutoTrader...
lol Keith Yeah....I should have picked up the turbo DSM when I was shopping for cars in the first place. So I can only be mad at myself for this. But yes, I was giving you hell to want to rid of your DSM. You just can't....I won't allow it. :pI went to Carmax yesterday....didn't turn...
lol If I was answering phones, typing letters for higher-ups, scheduling appointments, and keeping up Excel tables, then yeah....I'd call myself a secretary. But thank God, no I don't do those things....or I spent 4 years in college for nothing. =P
lol I'm not "hatin" on the Spec V, but I definately rather my dream turbo DSM over it. Don't get me wrong, that Nissan has made me smile on quite a few occasions driving it. ;) It's just seeing all my friends blow by me with that turbo spooling or BOV sound excites me everytime.
Well yeah, I'm not gonna be quiet and accepting... I know I'll get the DSM I want for the price I want. It's just getting rid of the Nissan first. I know some stuff about the Spec V (not as much as DSM facts, but still) so I bring up those points if they seem clueless about the car. I'll see...
Sean- well I put $13600 only because it gives more room for when people haggle prices with me. If someone comes along, I will sell it for what I owe or even a couple hundred less (whatever I can afford). I just want rid of it.Ripper- lol I love my RS... and I wouldn't get much money out of...
So this is to maybe get a few tips or ideas I haven't thought of....But last January, I bought a 2004 SE-R Spec V. It was between this car and a turbo 2Gb DSM. Well, because of all the bad luck I had been having with the RS around that timeframe, I thought I should go for the newer car...
Shit happens unfortunately. It should be a fairly easy fix. I came outside this morning to find my Eclipse had been spraypainted for the 2nd time since Halloween. Thankfully it wasn't all over the body like last time and I've already got the paint off....figures though, the one night I don't...
