Anyone here ever run avition fuel as race gas? I know its leaded but I dont have a cat, and my front o2 sensor is shot anyways. I cant get reace fuel here and I would like some higher octane fuel for this weeks test and tune. its gonna be hot as hell and I would like to keep my knock down
Go on the trip. You're young and have plenty of time to make lots of money to buy any car you want. Once you start working and getting older the odds of ever being able to do a trip like that are almost nil.Do the trip you will not regret it
And I finally fixed my broken manifold stud which is the reason i pulled all the hot side in the first place. I re tapped all the holes, new studs and new gaskets everywhere on the hot side. If nothing fixing that broken stud will help with gas mileage and maybe let me make a little more power.
Well i got off my ass finally and did some more work. Some more porting and a bit of polishing. Heres the final result. The porting isn't mirror smooth but its all smooth as hell to the touch so its good enough for me.Removed some more material around the wastegate merge area...
So I just ordered a bunch of vacume line from summit. I was planning on picking up some zip ties to use instead of the old clamps. Will they work well enough for the job?
Hopefully all the maintenance work i did will pay dividends then when I get her running again. All you really have more than me is a fuel pump which shouldn't really matter at 15ish psi
I hate to ask questions like this but are 100mph traps possible on the t25 without nitrous?I want to hit 100mph traps this season as cheap as possible which means staying with the stock turbo. My current mods are in my profile and in addition over the winter I ported the stock t25 and 2g...
What are you using to try and break them loose? Theres locktite on there and you are going to need a breaker bar or a pipe to put over your socket to break em loose
Hope it helped you out. If you have any more questions at all dont hesitate to post em up.I'm a little drunk tonight so I may be able to give a clearer answer tomorrow
I've seen him live a few times. Don't know how you could not like him. Maybe not be your favorite artist but hes so mellow and sounds so good that no one could hate himThe curious Jorge sountrack is awesome
So what kind of affects would that have on his car. Obviously not enough to create interference but I would assume its would hurt performance. Is you're idle lopey?
The issue is that the t-28 fires towards the passenger side of the car and the ic pipes are set up for a downward firing turbo. You can either cut the end of the compressor outlet off the t-28 to make it downward firing and use a rubber coupler or you can cut the 90* elbow of the end of the...
I wouldn't start selling parts just yet until you have a better idea whats going on.Check your pcv valve. I would just replace it actually. Its a cheap part ($14) and should be done every year or so anyways. That could be a simple fix for the dipstick. The no boost issue sounds like it...
Yes if you port the turbo you will be alright to leave the manifold alone. Although I would recommend doing it all at once. It's not gonna hurt having the turbo ported and you might see some benefits (faster spool). You should porth the collector on the manifold as well though. You can...
The biggest thing is to get in contact withthe comapnay. Ask them to ship usps instead of ups. It will save you a bit of cash on having it shipped and also some cash on duties etc. Expect to pay $50 on every $100 of parts you bring across the border through ups
This is a good question and one I had when I was in you're situation. If you have the opportunity to port your turbo, o2 housing and manifold you should.Heres an Idea of the difference between a stock manifold and turbo housing size and a 7cm^2 gasket.Silver is the 7cm^2If you are...
Awesome. All is I can say is im jealous and I wish you a lot of luck this season. What do you figure you have in it for a 60ft when you really get into it
Try drilling it out. Just be careful how deep in you go. Start with a very small bit and work your way up until the bold basically disintegrates. Or drill and try an easy out
Ok. its probably just old and stuck in there. Soak it down with pb blaster for a while and if that doesen't work you can weld a bold onto it wo spin it out. Or jbweld one on.Worst comes to worse you can drill it and use an eazy out
The nut on mine that I was trying to break loose was so rusted that it would not even budge with a 3 foot breaker bar and me standing and jumping on it. And I weigh 210lbsI might just have to hack it off.
Ive seen engines be rehoned and freshened up with the block still in the car and then go on to last for another 50,000km. Its just a worn set of rings most likely. Pull the head, drop the pan. Pull out the rods/pistons. Rehone the cylinders, put on new rings reinstall and you're back on the...
Yup. I just finished doing this exact process. I tried using extractors but was having no luck. So I just kept using bigger bits till the stud fell apart. Then I used a very small screwdriver and pried the remaining stud pieces away from the threads and then pulled them out with a very...
I dont want to dress the car up. I just want to replace my old crusty vacume lines wih new ones for peace of mind. Plain black no frills is all I need.
You could just buy an -an adapter.Although you are making this much more difficult than it needs to be. There is something to be said for using the right parts the first time. Why not just use a 4an hose with a restrictor to decrease the oil pressure
Yes, but there would have been a reason the original cast was used, ie space reasons. Also mitsu did not design these turbos with people like us in mind. It was designed to make a specific power level on a specific car. Obviously the engineers felt the design was efficient enough for the...
