Try the 55 watt ballasts and make sure the current output is AC.I too did the Morimoto mini mod a couple years ago with 35 watt ballast and felt the same. I switched to 55 watts and never looked back.
Once you get the axles out, put the suspension back together and slap on the wheels and after that you might be able to still pull the transmission with the wheels on.
Pull back on the rubber covering the clutch fork, look inside and see if the clutch or anything inside is damaged.Incorrect step-height on the flywheel could also cause clutch drag.
The SSQV BOV is super quiet with out the whistle tip. Its probably working fine, you just cant hear it (assuming it doesnt have the whistle tip installed)This is off topic but, are you running a GM MAF? I cant see it on the pictures you posted.
I just took out the case on my trans and that gear goes in like you pointed on the first picture. The three large outer notches correspond with the three that are on the trans.
Check your oil filter housing, you might have a crushed oil cooler. Usually happens when the oil filter is over torqued, if so then oil and coolant mix.
Yup, that should do the trick. If its not blown too far apart, just a dab of solder on the crack would also work.If you short any sensor with the ignition on, that's usually the end result.
Sounds like you blew the ECU ground, its an easy fix.Check this link out to see if you did blow it and how to fix it

Ah scratch that, I was thinking with a FAIV plate on.True, with out coolant running through it the wax wont expand and seal the bypass hole on the TB. Your idle would stay high, then after temp reaches 180 the ISC will try to correct the high idle and if it can't it will idle surge.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-exterior-interior/412804-how-hid-retrofit-97-99-oem-headlights.html#post152709121I just finished doing this mod on my headlights and it isn't that difficult. I did not even check the alignment of my old lights, I just took them apart, removed a couple...
I don't think there is a PT6262 that can bolt to the stock Manifold and O2. There is an option, like the one I have, which is a PT6235R. The exhaust on mine bolts right up to the stock manifold and o2.
With ECMLink you will spend less and it will be much more user friendly. With AEM EMS you will spend more, have more tuning control but wont be user friendly, especially if you have never tuned. Both will meet your goal, plus more.I would go with ECMLink as their forum is very helpful, and...
Right on man, so you did get it after all. You know, now that mine has the tabs welded, I'm thinking of painting the muffler flat black and leaving the tips chrome. With my bumper and the car all black, the chrome stands out a lot.On the remote, I thought about putting it on the dash and...
Alright, here is a small idle log. For me, everything looks on the settings but the car was not idling smooth. It would make random pop noises and my idle would not stay steady at 950.Cruising seemed fine (I didn't grab a log on that), its just the idle that has me stumped. From what I...
I does look like they changed the design, I never noticed. My remote even has no radio antenna on it and I only got one. I guess that could be why mine isn't so restrictive when closed.Il try and record a couple clips when I get some time off. That muffler is very quiet, great info! The...
It sticks out just about the same as stock, it could have gone in about half an inch more but thats how the shop I took to did the work.Oh man, that's terrible. I made sure the shop used 3" mandrel bends. It's a nice muffler, I'm sure you will be pleased as well.
Just thought I post a review after having this muffler on for a couple months. Here are some pics, the muffler is long so its in there tight.I noticed no change in performance from my N1 with the flap open and I lost about 2psi from my max 15psi, with a slight lag when closed. It...
Hey, I know this thread is a few months old but I am having a similar problem. I have the BM 1250's and I couldnt get my car to run right (I took them out and put back my good running pte 780's). It would slightly sputter at any rpm eventhough I had my combinedft near zero, airflowperrev at .25...
STM has a PTE gt35r that bolts up to the stock manifold and o2 housing. You will need to bend the water pipe a bit with that one though.STM: PTE GT3582R | BALL BEARING | BOLT-ON 90-99 DSM
Like said above, your clutch isn't disengaging.Read here Jacks Transmissions LLC — Clutch Drag Kills Synchros! and just check off what you already tested out to be ok.Here is a thread of someone having the same problem Jacks Transmissions Forums • View topic - 1g wint go into...
Try this simple test. Get on a flat parking spot, put the car in first (for you it would be with the car off). Leave the clutch pressed and rev the engine up to redline. If the car starts moving below 7200 rpm then you clutch is dragging. This would narrow down your problem.
Alright, il probably do the same with the wiring, thanks!I just got it, thought it was going to take weeks to get here all the way from Australia but no, 5 days and it's at my door! Now to figure out what muffler shop will do the job right, Midas? Hmmm...
So at WOT the most you can build is 3psi? Oh man, then it's really restrictive when closed.Oh hey, where did you run the wires to the motor? I was looking at where the spare tire is and saw two rubber like caps on the floor.
That's one helluva deal. Had i known you were doing this I would have contacted you first.Considering you are stock, I would assume having this muffler with the flap closed would be just as equal, if not better, than the stock muffler. Having it open should be less restrictive and something...
My dash light does turn on when I open the hatch, so does the interior hatch light and my taillights work fine. I am installing the reservoir but non of the connections match nor does the wire reach any of them, weird.
I was doing some work in the hatch and found this wire dangling around, it's behind the middle panel between the tail lights. Where does it go? Its a single wire with the connection similar to the oil pressure wire.
Yeah, it looks like it's just you who has this muffler installed for now. How has it held up so far?I might just try and get it to work with ecmlink if it's not to much trouble. My idea now is, to have it close the flap when cruising and open it when it senses heavy load or full throttle. I...
I am referring to the varex one, I guess I miss understood when I read this thread. The link on the first page has them but are out of stock, I got mine here Best Mufflers the Muffler and Exhaust Specialists it's still pricy but should be well worth it.I did give it some thought about...
