I put in an act flywheel, and i loved it. I ran a six puck clutch for a while...but it just too much for me, so i switched to the street disk. When choosing a clutch factor in how much horsepower have/plan on having in the near future, is it going to be most track mostly street or a little of...
a friend of mine had that same manifold, it cracked before we could get a real good solution made for it. So my friend just broke out the welder and made a new one! We tried wraping it but i guess our warp was not that good because it melted the hose.
Exactly! A buddy of mine built a 2.3l ( by built I mean he actually took to the time to see what would allow him to rev it high) and he was shifting at 9,700 rpm, everyweekend, at the track. Never had a problem.
that sounds like a good deal. a buddy of mine just got one for 2000, already working, with an fmic and a turbo timer. They are fun little cars. He ran an 8.6 at the track with it, so they have some room to grow, being that time was the stock motor with just the fmic
Just wondering what would happen. I am almost done with my car and i have a spare tranny and t-case incase i blow one while racing. So i would like to be able to know the symptoms of what happens when it goes so i can hurry up and get back on the track
So lets say your just going down the track the and transfer case takes a dump on you, would that cause you to wreck? If the back wheels wont always lock up then how will you be able to tell if its the tranny or the transfer case
I am shooting for around 700hp. I have sheps stage 3, i went a head and ordered the driveshaft shop's axles, as far as transfercase i dont know who makes a stronger one.
No the parts in my list are not current because i am not done building my car yet, those are from a very long time ago. I went a head and just ordered the driveshaft shop ones. But thanks for all of the info
I will be installing both at the same time, should i just set the maf-t to the injector size i have and leave everything else alone? I am concerned about this because will was wondering if i do not tune with the maf-t for the wot settings will that mess up what the dsmlink whats to do when i do...
I was wondering how much HP the stock axles can take? The driveshaft? What would be good upgrages? Will the stock differentials be able to handle what i throw at it? What about the transfer case? This is on an awd. No educated guesses please. I am trying to make sure my driveline can handle...
You should be idling at 750 i do believe. When you hit the ac on your car actually drops 600-700 rpm?! and they mechanic just set your idle higher? There is problem with one of your throttle componets. More than likley the biss/isc
I worked for a company locally and we would get cars in from DAS http://www.dasautoshippers.com/
They are really good and percise when they do anything with the cars they move
Your clutch pedal does not feel weak or anything does it?
Have someone watch your slave while you press the clutch in and see if its moving the fork or not.
If the ear is broke then i would not touch it. My friend (tooboosted) broke his ear off and had it welded back on for the last race of the season. The problem with that is that odd are great that it wont be 100% aligned correctly. So when he launched at 5000rpm and the tranny got thrown back...
Well by looking at your mod list i can already see a problem. If you are running a 255 without a fpr, then you will overrun the stock fpr and could cause you to run rich. Also you have to think that when you race a honda if you dont have more then you more than likely wont win( as usual...
Yes, but most people just get a superly large turbo without doing any math, so they dont get a good hunk of the power band and next thing you know you have a power curve like a supra. being fast from 100-170mph is not what i call a good street/strip set up LOL
Daily drive car with a t-67. eek.Well the old saying holds true. There is no replacement for displacement. A 2.3 can be very streatable if you treat it nice like the wiseman said. As far as what turbo to get there are so many choices for that power area its just up to what brand you prefer...
Ok that part that is broke off looks to be an ear. Someone correct me if i am wrong. If that is the ear and it is broken off then even if you weld it back on that is still a great chance of it breaking loose again. The main bad thing about that is you will usually have the tranny attached to...
well if its a z31 then it was not a twin turbo. only the z32's were twin. If it comes off of an 83-86 then it has a small t3 turbo on it, My buddy has one, not too much better than the 14b. Then from 87-up they had t-25 turbos. Dont waste your money.
Might as well run it. If the blades are messed up you can always get a new wheel from FP.

Do it, why not? It would be a fun project so long as you have some funds, the spare motor, and a shell. I would not try to make it awd..that would be next to impossiable.
I have new cams, new motor, new clutch. so i would let the motor run at 2500+ for about 15min, then take it out and do a few hard pulls on a fresh motor with new cams? That sounds like i would break something. Would i disconnect the actuator from the wastegate so as not to build any boost?
I am rebuilding my motor and there are few things that I need to know1. I have a set of 272's with some dual valve springs and i was wondering if there was anything else that I would HAVE to have to make these work properly. (like idle controll, any thing that I would possiably have to have...
There was a vidoeo not too long ago on wrx forum where a guy had twin gt35r's and how he helped spool them was a supercharger. dont know how it worked but it did...the thing was for the amount of money he put into it he could have had the exact same amount of horsepower out of a more traditional...
