How are you suppose to fix a broken stud in the head. I was putting my manifold back on and one of the studs broke off. I really dont want to be driving around with one of the studs/nut connected to the manifold. Its broken on the runner #4, closest to the IC. And I torqued the others down to...
Like the title says, where is the knock sensor on 2gs? I was driving around a turn in second, got on it, and a cel light came on in the right of the cluster right near the gas light. Is that the knock sensor? Do 2gs have a stock knock sensor? If I was knocking, what would come on in the gauge...
I need some help on installing my turboxs MBC on my 95 GSX.
I've already read some of the posts by other people, but I still can't
understand how to do it. Do you have to disconnect the boost soloniod
hoses completely? I don't know! It's hurting my brain! STOP!
Can anyone shed some light...
I did make a video of it, but i dont have anyway of uploading it to the internet. Anyone know of any good sites to uplead wmv. clips?THanks, yeah, no NOS.
I dont know how i've been playing Gran Turismo without it. :thumb:I personally turned the force feedback down a bit after a while. Its still there, but not as strong.
Got a new time of 7:52:982I dont know why I didn't use the super-soft tires the last time I tried the time attack. They made a HUGE difference in the drivability and stability of the car.I still can't get the 136hp. This run was actually at 124hp, or at least thats what the replay said.
Idk about everyone else, but I really don't like having a stiff supension in the winter.... which is why I am changing in my tokico blue shocks/springs in the winter....glad I kept um.
I have driven both suspensions. The big difference i would say is that the Tein ss' are a bit more forgiving during normal driving conditions, like daily driving. To me, the D2s just seem a bit more stiff than the Teins, but oh well... i wasnt expecting it to ride like a caddy.
Correct me if im wrong, but the Tokico (and other spring manuf.) spring rates aren't that much higher than the stock springs anyway. I wouldnt worry about blowing the shock from a soft spring. It should be fine.
How true...how true.I have not gone there personally, but have had at least 3 friends go, and I must say... the knowledge that they aquired afterwards was not astonishing at all....maybe borderline "annoy your friends with pidly shit" when your talking cars type deal. One friend DID get...
Seeing how the only defense for the airbag system has been trucks or SUVs... that really doesnt strengthen the point your trying to install them on a 2 door sports car. Sure they are great for the larger vehicles, but as Attack Eagle said, higher gains could be seen from a simple set of...
If its for a show car, then go for it. Whatever. But if it's for a performance upgrade/ better handling, then poop shoot that idea. No need for all that crap in there for a better handling suspension.... and can we call them shocks...not shox. :nono:
Exactly. I dont think D2 even knows what springs they are putting on  . I've called and asked D2 north america why they dont mark it, and all they could tell me was that, "They know which springs are which".Ok. :notgood:
Then he probably shouldnt be getting DSMlink then. Link is very easy, but if you don't have a basic understanding of what is going on, let alone what these mods do to when upgrading, then its pointless to get link..... aside from the fact that the stutterbox option is uber-cool.
I personally think all those pics look like poo... dirty poo with JB splashed all about.I can understand the 1gs wanting to get a new manifold, but why do any of the 2g club need to upgrade their manifold? A ported 2g manifold will be more than enough for anyone wanting to put a larger turbo...
Sorry to bring this back to life, but I have been having the same problem as well. I have a strong vibration in the clutch pedal after a high rpm shift (i.e. 5500-7k). I first noticed it a little when I took out the clutch restrictor and new clutch line, as well as the rebuilt trans from shep...
As I said, my bushings are fine. Nothing is broken or torn in the rear suspension. As for the shop not fixing the camber; I am going to take out some washers myself and then take it back to the alignment place. I don't need them to charge me labor for doing something i can do in about an hr...
I did check the rear suspension, and everything is fine. I lowered the rear a bit also (was kind of high from the last time I adjusted the ride height). I got it a little closer to what the front gap/height is.Took it out for a spin, and it does seem a bit better, but I can still tell its a...
First off, the title may be misleading. My steering is fine... nothing wrong with that. The problem is anything over around 55mph, i can feel the rear get somewhat light/loose when i say, change lanes or shimmy the steering wheel from left to right a bit (nothing fast though).I have had...
Those are the high blitz sideskirts... and no, those look too gawdy and need to be molded to get a good look.Id go for either the low blitz sideskirts or the buddy club sideskirts if you still have a stock front and rear.
Its not a conversion just for D2 springs, or springs in general. Its basically metric to standard.Just multiply the kg by 56 and you will get your spring rates in in/lbs.
Even if you are trying to say NEGATIVE camber instead of POSITIVE.... I still have no idea what you are talking about. None of that makes sense at all.As jtmcinder said, I don't even know why you'd want positive camber. There's no good that can come from that... unless your driving on a big...
Not trying to be a smartass or anything, but why would more rear negative camber give you the tendancy for oversteer? If you have more neg. camber, you will be using more of your tire during cornering, hence more traction. I would think that you would want to modify your suspension, i.e...
Sorry, but no.1) start putting the belt on the exhaust cam and put a binder clip or the sort on it.
2) line up both cam gears so the marks are aligned...ALIGNED.
3) put the belt on the intake cam, and oh...make sure the marks are ALIGNED.
4) clip a binder clip on that one as well, and...
http://e30m3performance.com/installs/installs-3/hood-vent/index.htmGive that a good once over mate. (or even a twice or thrice)You dont need air rammed into your engine bay... you already have enough of that. You need to get the hot air out, hence... you need a vent, not a scoop.
First off, i would probably find out which springs you have. If you dont know, maybe throw them in the trash or make a cool coffee table... idk.As jtmcinder stated, you need to match your shocks to the springs. If you dont know what springs are on there right now, then you are just going to...
PRAISE THE LORDY LORD!!!Exactly. The article is making a point that dsms are great all-round cars, not just tubbed out pigs that look like ass and can make power easily. Thats the main reason why i think SCC IS the best tuner magazine out there right now. No, not just tuner, let me...
Idk why everyone is making such a fuss about it being slow or not getting a good 1/4 mile time. I mean, he made 350hp with the stock fuel pump and 660s (i hope he had the injectors in there). If you ask me, thats pretty damn good. There are people that cant even hit 300 with those mods or more...
I believe i am using the 95. Yeah, it is pretty jumpy, but you just have to remember on the Nurburgring, you cant have the susp. too hard or else you'll be bouncing everywhere. Just have to find a good "inbetween" setup.I would be open to change it to a lightweight car time attack, but I'll...
Well, too bad you got off that bus, cause GT4 does a great job of making each seperate car sound different, even goes far enough to change tones from when it is stock to when an upgraded exhaust or engine upgrade was made. And who cares if there are more than 1 of a given car, thats life... but...
8:18:23 so far.Messed with the gearing a bit to get a little more top end. I am almost 2-4 seconds faster than that time, but i keep screwing up on about 3/4th of the way through the course, on a couple high speed to low speed turns.****8:10:92****Think i finally got a good setup...
