My floor mats are stained and falling apart. Does anyone know of some custom floor mats that fit a 2gen car? I don't want any flame designs or NOS crap on them, just a solid color and maybe a small logo.

Having retrofitted the APC Gen II lights with Hella projectors, let me advise you NOT to work with these headlights. Poorly designed, they have no sealed housing like most reflector/aftermarket projector lights. There's the lense, the plastic behind the lense, and then the 3" projector, which is...
The shop that installed my kit put cuts into the inside lip of the fender (the whole lip). They cut segments about every inch or so and then bent them back to clear the hinges.
Unfortunately they did a really crappy job and I had to clean up their work later (painted the edges of the cuts to...
You don't need glass lenses to run an HID kit, since HID capsules actually create less heat than halogen bulbs. I've had both a plugin HID kit and a complete retro'd setup (projectors/ballasts/capsules) and plastic lenses have held up to both.
I'd go with the RMDSM. The splitter looks nice, but I think the little shocks/supports don't flow with the clean 2g body. But IMO, neither do hood pins. The RMDSM is a nice subtle addition.
Thanks guys. I'll upload all of the full-size pics tomorrow.gsxeclipsed, the Rotoras are great, noticable improvement over stock, but they do make me wish I had ABS. :(
Thanks, the projectors are customized APC gen2. I added the LED array.I used an Olympus Camedia digital camera. I did tweak the contrast/saturation/and sharpness in the photos, though.
Thanks man.I like the effect that those 5 series lights have. I have noticed that those horizontal light "tubes" are only used as regular lighting and not as the braking/turning function. This is probably because the tubes are difficult to see lit up during the day, much like angel eyes...
Hey, I plan on doing a really similar project this summer with my tails, to go with the HID/LED headlights. I know the G35 tails have LEDs with increased intensity during braking. I think this is done with resistors. An easier way might be to have 3 or so LED strips for regular brake lighting...
I'm using the F16 right now. The top sits below the CD player, but only because I cut down and rewelded the stock shifter (A LOT). The height was my only initial complaint. Feels great, and it flows with the organic lines of the interior well, IMO.
So a couple months ago I was in an accident. Along with the rest of my front end, my retrofitted hid headlamps were destroyed. While fixing the hood/bumper/radiator support, I decided to redo the headlights and make them look better than before. Some of you may remeber the original headlights...
Very nice work dude. Good to see more and more people are starting to do retrofits. What type of shroud did you use around the projector lense? Get some night shots and some of the cut-off too!:thumb:
My car's actually a 98 (first one was a 97). Will swapping ECU's still help?SCdsmer, he told me anything and everything without a CARB eo sticker was illegal (intake pipe, intercooler piping, BOV, front mount, boost controller, etc.)tt281gt, thanks for pointing out the thread. Doesn't...
Well I got pulled over and had my hood popped..again. And you know what that means, appointment with the state referee  I've removed all my modifications from the engine bay, with everything back to stock. I've since then taken the car to the inspection center. It passed the emissions...
I was behind a POS geo wagon at a red light. It turned green and he accelerated, me doing the same. Then he slammed on his brakes in the middle of the intersection (I guess the lane was backed up, couldn't see past him. I slammed on my brakes, they locked up, and I slid into his bumper. The...

Well I got into an accident today. If anyone has a spare 2g hood please let me know. Also looking for a new radiator and fans.... at least it looked good for the meet.
His slots are facing the right way.
Clean ride man. I just bought those same brakes too, except crossdrilled. They stop on a molecule :thumb: I'd loose the rotora sticker, though.
The Socal meet went down yesterday (saturday) and the turnout rocked my world. Over 40 DSMS showed up and we rolled DEEP. Here are some crappy pictures I managed to take while driving (for lack of a camera man).Posted up, the line must have been a quarter of a mile long...
That's not so bad dude.. The front bumper looks like it's just scuffed up. Try using some goo-gone and alchohol to remove the black marks. If that doesn't work, you can lightly wetsand it off with high grit sandpaper and then buff those areas out (I've done this before on my frontend, looked...
Yeah, they are arrays of 50 inline LEDs mounted in the housing. Those are racing harts dude, VOLK doesn't make a style of rim that looks anything like those. Thanks for the comments guys, and god damn you look ### in that picture alex.. hahahaha J/K.Seriously though..
Not sure what you mean by the angel eye effect, but the projectors do flicker from white, to violet, to blue, to bluegreen depending on the angle, just like the bimmers.Video coming soon guys, I promise ;)
Thanks. For those of you who didn't see my headlights topic, they are Gen2 apc projector housing retrofitted with BMW/hella 3-series projectors and 6000k HID capsules. Pain in the ass to do, total project cost was about $650.
Actually dude, the doors open a lot easier in tight spaces than with the stock hinges. They only pull out about a foot and a half, and then raise, so actually it's more convenient.
Yes, $1400 installed. Thanks for the comments everyone. And for the second time, no, it's not hard to get in. Let me see if I can put a video together..
Quick review of the kit: This is the older version of the Vertical Doors kit (Verticaldoors.com) which was installed by a local shop. The kit itself works great, the doors open and close pretty smoothly, but there are some aspects that I'm less than thrilled about. For instance, holes have to be...
Here's my m3 projector/4300k HID retrofit:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133542It was a VERY big job, lots of cutting measuring. I actually had to take apart the hella projectors and rebuild them into the chrome shrouds that the headlights came with. If you do a...
