ok i took a caliper guage and measure the felpro 4g63 composite and felpro sohc 4g64 composite. they measure the about same 87.45mm bore. so for future search the felpro 4g63 will fit many over bore sizes including 4g64 swaps.
the only head gasket im able to get is the felpro sohc head gasket.. every thing lines up to the block and bore except the 5 extra plugged holes so it had some open spot on the gasket for the 5 oem 4g64 drain holes. can this head gasket be used?anybody anyone?? i have the sohc gasket now.
5/8 and 1/2 plug will hand fit but once i knock it down it just fall all the way through. my other ones a 18.26mm they fit fine.. whats the metric spec for 1/2 and 5/8?
Ok i sent my head in to get washed. but i had some little scratches on it. the machinist told me its ok to use because it was recently resurfaced and that the scratches would have little to no effect. whats your onions?? I will be using a 4g64 felpro composite and L19.pics

Been running it for 3 yrs had the head unit failed on me once did not toast a engine. because my knock guage warned me so i let off. If u keep an eye on your montiors like your suppose to it can be very sucessful and fail safe.
a bolt on 50 trim will keep you happy for a long time. less money more power. its a win win situation. i grew from a 14b, big 16g, 50trim now going on too a gt35. ill say the 50 kept me happy for a long time on the 2.0. now with the 2.4 i got to go bigger. 400 is more attainable with the 50trim.

i drop everything out including piston, rods and crank. at first i thought it was my bearings and main bearings but once i got everything off all my bearings where ok. it did not score the cylinder walls or crank at all. just minor scratches on a couple cam lobes and one cam journal. so can this...
I started to pull my block apart because i found metal shavings in the pan and filter. I got the head of and notice that the piston looks like they have valve contact please take a look at the photos let me know if its normal and if the pistons are still usable.
check for bearing failure or shaved metal in your filter and and oil pan it could of contaminated your whole oiling system getting into your turbo and failing them right away. just and opinion.
the motor is out of the car on a engine stand. i haven't gotten the pistons out yet but i am planing too after i remove the head. im probably going to take it apart and get the head and block clean just to make sure there is no shaving stuck anywhere. im sure it made it to the head at one point...
