My buddy just got his V3 in the mail from the yesterday. They're still in business. They're a small business, I'm sure their just busy, give them some time. Maybe send them another e-mail, or from another e-mail you might have, sometimes things get sent to the junkmail folder. It happens to...
Crankwalk is rare, most 63 crankwalk was never actually crankwalk. People's incompetence lead to engine failure, in which they falsely blamed on CW. Just build a 4G64, don't put a 2900# clutch on it, and don't worry about it.
It's been a while since I've been here, so I never saw this post. But if you're still interested...*Specific model used

South Bend hands down. I could not tell the difference between my clutch and stock. I also have the accumulator removed. It was holding great until my rear seal leaked all over it. It held 5,500 rpm launches on an FP HTA Green like a champ and pulls spiking at 27 psi and holding around...
I can't see your pictures, but typically oil around the left side of the manifold is actually because of a leaky valve cover gasket, which is very common on these cars. Also, if the oil is coming fro one of the exhaust manifold studs, there is an oil passage that runs behind there. You might...
Get off his nuts man. He's got a goal, and he's half way there. He's got a clean car. Big deal if it's going to take him a while. I started in the same situation when I was his age. I was 19 making minimum wage, going to college and paying rent. I still had my goals. And I more than...
Seeing this makes me want to put my FP Big T-28 back on and see what I can do now that I am AWD and on E-85. I know it won't be as fun as the as my HTA Green, but sometimes I miss that kick in the ass instant spool the T-28 had
Your are correct, ball bearing turbos require little oil, so an oil restrictor will be needed when feeding off the oil filter housing (unless they are building them in to the housing?) Yes, it will need coolant for a ball bearing.Journal bearing CHRAs need more oil. Each turbo will have a...
I laugh at a lot of people who run twin disks, because most of them don't need one. I know a few people running twins on their evos who are only putting down 350-400whp. Huge waste of money.OP, look in to the South Bend line up. Tim at TMZperformance is a South Bend dealer and he has great...
I say run it and build a spare. Keep the tune conservative. With E-85 you may be temped to push the timing envelope, but on stock rods, I'd keep in hear stock levels.

I don't understand why people thing that things fail simply because of too much torque, or too much horsepower?Fatigue, shock load, heat, fluid, weight of vehicle are just some factors in gear train longevity.
Yes, but if you have a 97-99 trans, you might have a hard time finding a matching t-case. The 95-96 trans works with 1991.5 to 1996 t-cases, and those t-cases are much more plentiful.
I say it depends on the angle. Straight on I don't really like the 2ga. But from a side view or an angle, it looks pretty aggressive. My favorite combinations has always been 2gb eclipse front, with 2ga twisty sides kirts and a 2ga thumbnail.
:thumb: Thanks for taking the time to do this. I would agree that you are in no short supply of oil pressure in the upper RPM band and clearly your relief valve is doing it's job. Your bottom end is certainly not in danger with those numbers. What kind of RPM do you rev to when at the track...
So, If I understand your though process, you are theorizing that the hole is there to prevent the oil pressure from surging up an down at the crack pressure of the oil relief valve?
But did you take before and after oil pressure readings at a location that was not the oil filter housing... Say, maybe the head, or in the turbo feed line?
I agree with this sentiment 100% This thread reminds me of the extended slave cylinder rods and Synchromesh/Synchroshift gear oils. They were band-aids, and the problems ultimately reared their heads a little later on in life.I am by no means saying this should be completely over looked...
Sorry, but I'm not sure I buy this. Many people have had this mod for years and this is the first time I have ever hear of it causing someone to fail their emissions. Not to mention, your bov only opens under vacuum (unless it is leaking), this vacuum would pull any bypassed pressure back...
FYI: MTBE is carcinogenic, and therefor fuels containing it have to be labeled. If it doesn't have a label saying it contains MTBE, then you are good to go.
