woa, i dunno what happened with the title lol........ anywaymy disengagement point is all over the place. when the car is cold i can press the clutch down all the way and the engagement seems normal and it will go into gear without grinding, it will have a small bit of play in the pedal at the...
my timing belt started walking off the gears a little bit today. it was fine yesterday, but all of a sudden i noticed today it was moving off the gears about 2mm and its going to chew up the sides of the belt, so i need to fix this. any ideas on what is happening. the exhaust cam gear does look...
the one from my fwd tranny musta been broken or something, i put the awd one back in and it gets full travel. haha having to bolt the same engine in twice in one night sucks.ROFL
i put a fwd clutch fork in my awd transmission, it seems like the fork is hitting the side of the transmission before it can disengage the clutch, are they different?
i didnt test that high, just enough to see if there were any couplers blown off or anything. maybe 5 psi at the most.this is my original account btw (dsminduction)
so i replaced a headgasket the other day, and when i put the timing belt on, i think i set the timing belt advanced 1 tooth. when i floor it, it seems like it takes a while for boost to come on, and it wont hit full boost, i usually run 28psi, and it hits 20 and creeps to 24. i pulled the line...
check the bolts on your water pump pulley, mine came loose once and started making a wierd knocking noise like nuts bouncing around in the valve cover (thats the best description i can come up with.) and it kinda makes sence seeing that your car overheated.
you should probably get an afc and wideband. if youre running rich in the higher gears, its gonna be 10x worse in first gear. i had that problem when i put my new maf in. first gear felt pig slow, then i took out some fuel and it hauls like normal.
my gas guage will read perfectly above 1/4 tank, but when the level drops below 1/4 tank, it stops there and i just have to wait for the gas light to come on. kinda weird
trust me, some race gas or meth will have you smiling big with that turbo. what im saying is, youll be hard pressed to make a ton more power on the 50 trim than the fp t28, and youll realize that the upgrade to the 50 trim really isnt worth it. i mean you probably would make a little more power...
well i wasnt thinking, and my overflow tube was pointed at the intake, and got coolant all in the filter and stuff. i think that might have killed something in there.
well it all started at the track. it would break up under higher boost, then it started breaking up underl lower boost, then it started breaking up without boost, then it wouldnt even accelerate after a while. so the only way i could limp it home was to unplug the mas airflow sensor. i checked...
when you do the compression test, what kind of pump are you using? a tire pump or bike pump wont hold any pressure. you have to use a compressor with a tank for the system to build any pressure.
i wouldnt call it CLEAN, but its easy on the eyes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/dsminduction/PICT0619.jpg

those are the only pics i have of my interior really, its nothing special, but i do my best lol.
everyone who hears my thermal thinks it is awesome. some people say they havent really heard anything like it. heres a video wiht my car on the dyno, its a few minutes in, just scroll through till you see my red eclipse. <a...
if you want THE BEST. you want the aquamist, its VERY in depth, and the pump is the best out there... but its also over 1000 dollars. now for 400-500 bucks you can get a kit from www.alkycontrol.com his shop is right near me, and i would say it is the best out of any companys using the sureflow...
yea, this works every time... set the AI to easy, turn all the assists off, turn everything on simulation, hire the cheapest driver, and unless your car is 10x slower than the rest, your guy wins the race, and you end up only losing about 20% of your earnings since you turned all the assists off. :)
the missfire may or may not appear. theres a fix thats cheap called the barometer mod, i did that, but it leans your car out a little more, so keep that in mind, if you have an afc you might need to add some fuel. but basically you put a 10k potentiometer (radioshack has em) on the barometer...
i couldnt see spending over 800 bucks for dsmlink, install, and tune, especially if the tune is just a basic crappy street tune. 550 for dsmlink and socketing.......install? inserting an ecu into a slot? how much should that cost? 50 bucks? and the tune.....well if its a good professional tune...
is it made of aluminum? i got a crack on the 5th gear cover. i think i pushed the output shaft though too hard, and i wanted to weld it. now i just have a mig welder, and i know that doesnt work on aluminum.
i talked to a guy who has done the swap twice, he said he figured out what you need to do. he said there was a wire that need to be jumped. i forget why it needs to be, but thats what needs to be done, he told me he will look at the wiring this week and tell me which wires need to be where.
well mine was empty and it read 1/4 tank lol. i only put in few gallons and it still didnt change. ill try to put in more and see if it changes, but im fine with relying on the light. thats usually when i refill anyway.
has anyone figured out the problem with the fuel guage? i used the diagram drawn in this thread, and my fuel guage doesnt work, but my low level light does.
youll probably need to get them from the dealership or junkyard, ive searched around for them a bunch and couldnt find them anywhere. the longest bolts that i could find that were high enough grade were only 4 inches.
this is a 2g awd gas tank. that picture was taken while i was in the middle of switchin out fuel pumps. im doin an awd swap right now and im just tryin to figure out the fuel tank. the one on the right i believe is the pressure sensor. you can see the pump on the right has the float on the pump...
yea i just went through tryin to find the bolts today, i found they are m12x1.25 and the three long ones are 5.5 inches, and the others should be about 3 inches, like everyone said. now dont expect to find the long ones at lowes/home depot or ace hardware. i couldnt find them at any chain...
well, if there is a sticker on the back with a part number, it should say viscous lsd right on that sticker. if you have that sticker and there is nothign indicating an lsd, then its probably not.
