Bought this with a shifter for my car but choose to keep it stock looking. This is new and never used.

Both mounts have been polished and look very nice. Black Prothane mounts have been installed in place of the stock bushings. Many people just do this pair as an upgrade to avoid excessive vibrations/harshness in a street car verse doing all 4 mounts$100obo

Yes, i really should have. This was one of my first heads i completed and i was worried that the edge would sit on top of the headgasket and cause sealing issues.
Here is my head completed in piston coat. There is no doubt this is playing with 0.5%-1% gains. I tell everyone thye will never be able to tell the effects of ceramic coating alone. It just one piece of the puzzle to building a a stronger, race ready motor.
I just completed an LS head for a customer last night using cerakote and have done my own 4g63 head with it as well. I have done TONs of pistons. Not so many heads because of all the work involved.Saying that the ceramic coat doesn't work once there is carbon over it is essentially saying...
Pulled this from an email to ATS for rebuild it. He also translated the original Japanese documents for me. THE ATS guys are very good to work with in California. I use there diff in the rear of my time attack car.Metal R7A13-3056 $290 including the air shippingCarbon R7A13-57 $740...
You have an ATS center diff. Kaaz is a spin off company from ATS (or it might be the other way around??). Therefore the design are identical and all that was changed was the way the casing bolts together to call it there own.Your plates should be interchangeable between ATS and Kaaz. I was...
I looked into buying the cannads from the guy that made BBR Tunings and they were quite expensive. I was told $350 for a pair and $550 for two pairs. This was for single sided carbon.
I recommend ATS front diff from an EVO 3. You can get a 1.5way diff from them and choose from there different types based on how aggressive you want it. I just bought there rear diff. I've yet to use it but the part in my hands looks like quality.I agree throttle off understeer scares me...
I understood 2-way custom as custom valving not a custom application where a body would need to be modified for mounting.Anyways, its out of my price range and doubt i'd tell a big difference at my skill level with the already competent Koni's i have. I'd also look at Penske at this point as...
My race series that I compete in requires 2-way dampeners for street class so that is what i would be looking at. This would be upgrading from DG/Koni coilovers. An off the shelf 2-way is about $5000. what would be the up charge to make the custom set for an Eclipse?
I'm not sold on putting a quite in the front. I think a 1.5way is better suited with a clutch type diff doing the job.Your on your own with the adelia magic. Start loose. Then all the way tight and find what works better in between. Going to need a lot of track to set that up. Another reason...
We opened daren_p's diff and it's indeed a 1.5way diff. The 10 deg can be a little tough to visually see but it's there. We compared it to my ats carbon diff and the largest difference we found is the ats has much larger diameter disks inside. We also noticed that the bearing on the end case...
A 2-way is more unstable but if you you learn how it acts and control it, it will ultimately cause the car to have better turn-in but it can be tricky to catch. Drifters like it because its easy to initialize the car into a slide when it locks and hold a slide when locked. RWD guys have the same...
One thing to keep in mind is that the center diff spins much fast then the rear or front LSD and therefore would see more slipping of the plates inside the center diff which would likely cause them to wear quicker. Combined with there an already small plates to fit inside the differential. an...
Really think quaifes are given a bad name because of drag racing DSMs usually see. If we took a quaife, got it REM processed and cryogenic treated and avoid launching it at every stop light then i think it would last in the time attack environment that i expect it to live in.I agree i super...
Great explanation. Thanks for taking the time to do that. Your theory of the center diff locking up too early with a plated diff matches my belief on how it would react. How do you set it up loose? They are metal plated center diff which lock up very early based on the coefficient of friction...
How would an AWD car react to one of these clutch type center diffs when it locks up? Will it act like a welded diff and not be able to transfer torque at this point? And if so would that be something desirable in those circumstances.
Hi guys, long time dsm'er here but rarely ever post on tuners but i thought i would add what i know about the 2g archer cars.Three of the archers cars are in Canada. Two owned by Bruno who raced them in Canadian touring car when they were eligible and the last was bought by a guy that...
i want to remove my abs out of my 93 Talon AWD and don't know if i should order the parts from the dealer or if i should pull them from the junkyard. If there cheap (under 50 bucks) i'd get thme from the dealer but if not then i guess i'll spend some time at the junkyard carefully pulling them...
I'm in the middle of doing this. This is how i did mine. I cut off the banjo bolt from the line and welded on a -06 bung to it and the the rack side i did the same and welded a bung to the end of the hard line. now all i have to do is make a regular AN line and run it between the 2 points.
I was thinking of doing the same but had the same concern you have about the water circulating. Since i'm no longer running a water PIPE my feed tap doesn't exist and more. I've decide to weld a bung to water pumps outlet. Since my alternator is moved to the rear i have room beneath it to run a...
My educated guess would be -8 for the heater core.I'm using -16 for my rad hoses and -6 for my water line for my turbo. I wont be using a water pipe but rather welding directly to the water pump a -16 bung and a -6 bung for both. Nice and clean and eliminate a bunch of leaking points for the...
