We are having the same issue in our gst and it ended up being the trans shifting on the block causing a alignment issue under high rpm and torque... bad and worn bolt holes and alignment pens. Broke 2 act disc and stripped 1 out
Get a heat gun and get the inlet and oulet temps of the cond. One more thing to keep in mind when retro fitting from r12 you need to charge a custom amount, you can not charge it the same as the r12 system.
Overcharging a system can hurt its performance. Get me the inlet and outlet temps with...
yes by cond i mean condenser.. If your pressures are in (check) meaning they are fine you have something else going on with your ac.. the only way a fmic is going to hurt the ac is if it blocks air from getting to the condenser which in turn will make your head or discharge pressure high hurting...
Did they tell u it had high discharge pressure??? Try spraying the cond with cold water and see if the head pressure comes down any... may have a bad or dirty cond...
The guy is correct the car is not worth 3k+ for a paint job in most peoples minds. A 92 gsx with 205k is only going to bb out for 2-4k. It all depends on what (you) think the car is worth.
It is highly unlikely the noise is a piston striking a valve. It would just bend the valve and drop comp on that cylinder. I would check your timing and see if it is off before u go pulling the head. U may end up pulling the oil pan and checking the bearings....
I love fl, i was working on a friends 1g today and was hot lol. I would pull it down for sure a few hours checking it is better than pulling the head with bent valves. ps clean 2g!!!!
You have the engine, brake booster, etc on the left side that is way heavier than the trans on the right side. I have pulled the rf spring and cut some of a coil to even the front on my 1g's.
Slicks are not going to knock off 2 secs. A good street tire and you will be fine and knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. Unless u get a set for a great priceand your 1/4 trap speed would tell us a lot
Dude you have it so bad man, My brother is deployed and works 60 to 70 hours a week when he is home and gets paid the (same). Join the armed forces and see how good you have it. Some people would kill to have your job.
