ahh touche. That would be correct. I didnt even think about doing the math. Because I used 3 resistors. I used 3 30ohm 10w resistors in parallel which increased current draw which inturn the total wattage would increase to 19.6 watts which would be on the warm side. Sorry, I didnt start fixing...
a single 10 watt resistor will not be enough. Either use 3 10 watt resistors together or buy a 30 watt resistor. This one will be perfect and will not require a project box since it has its own heat sink.

Yes it is. I used the same solution in my GST when I was using the Zeitronix WBO2. I The resistors get warm so I bought the small aluminium "project box" from radio shack to help dissipate the heat.
LOL. Back from the dead. I 2nd that bet. Its a waste of time. Not gonna work. You will loose more power driving the compressor than you are going to gain in hp. Nothing beats an intercooler. Its a pretty simple install.
Wow this one is really back from the dead. Stick with the same type tire per axle. If you were going to get a used one for the rear just make sure that you get the same tire with about the same amount of tread on it.
Umm.. OHM is a measure of resistance. You dont use resistance to measure current draw. But.. you can always take it to autozone and have them test the charging system its free!!! Because I had the same problem with mine. I thought it was the 5 farad capacitor going bad. But.. It was actually the...
Umm.. really sounds bad. But, it still could really be the turbo. That would explain the smoke out of the back. Now under the hood?? Valve cover is from your bad oil cap seal. We've all had that. Some still do.. Like me LOL But you said it was shooting out of your intake pipes. Do you mean that...
+1. You should try figuring out exactly why your turbo is blown. Also try putting all of your info in your profile. How do you know your turbo is blown from oil starvation?
BTW. 3" exhausts are not loud. Our turbos quiet down the exhause alot compared to the same exhaust on a N/T. I run a 3" with no cat and its quieter than 99% of the honda exhausts or mufflers for that matter. But just to answer your questions. Yes. If it quiets down the exhaust then it decreases...
Yes. I have been following that thread too. Very very enticing. But I think dsmlink provides a more thorough tuning solution. Also samples rates are an ass of alot higher on the link than it is on evoscan.
LOL "link engauged" Yea. Evoscan looks good. I like it. I really like the graphing. So I dont have to look at all of the values in the spreadsheet at once. I can just select which ones I want to look at and plot them on a graph. But I think that if Im going to keep my dsm that Im going to have...
I agree. No front mount needed for t25. Your money will be better spent on a new turbo. Id rather run a 16g on a otherwise stock setup then run a t25 with a full front mount and all hard pipes. Hey does anyone have another stick to lend me? ;)
That would be incorrect. You have to run 2 vac lines off of 1 nipple on the 1g tb because one of the vac lines off of the 1g tb we cant use. One nipple on the tb is unused. We cant use the 90 tb. Just search it. I promise. You will come up with many threads about the subject. :thumb:
LOL Almost 6 years later!!! In 6 years you havent learned how to use the search feature. Or even VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions. :beatentodeath:
Ditto. go get yourself a timing belt, tensioners etc. Because you might as well do it all while you are down there. But yea.. its the same thing as a timing belt replacement. Plus the 4-5 bolts on the water pump. There is no way around it. Buy this also. It will make your experience alittle more...
X2. You will be looking at 1000hp gain over stock bulldozer. With the proper mods you might be able to clear the 1/4mile in about 3 hours as long as it doesnt have many trees.
Its great. Its a scan of the service manual. Everything was legible. I only used it like 2 times. With all of the info from this site you really dont need it. Someone here has done what you need to do at one point in time or another. I really dont even know where the dang thing is. :D
I would think so. Check the condition of the harness. Also the wires that are actually coming out of the front o2. Maybe it doesnt throw a cel for a intermittent o2 outage? I will get a cel every now and then for my rear o2. I made a o2 simulator for it. It depends upon which way the wind is...
If you think it pulls like a raped ape with a t25 wait until you get a real turbo on it. Check out the lovely and informative tech section. It will yield a wealth of great information. Also check out VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions. Between the 2 it will answer 95% of your...
Wow. Im at a loss. Do a boost leak test and let us know what you get. Do you get any cel's? I dont think a boost leak will cause the engine to just die on you. Maybe unless a coupler totally blew off. I dont know. Hey one of you more experienced guys chine in. Oh and welcome to the DSM...
Yep its probably your valve stem seals. Did you get your head rebuilt too? I dont see what your valve cover has to do with your valve stem seals so we dont need a picture. Also what do you mean about dies? Does the car stall and you have to crank it back up? Does it studder like it doesnt want...
Boy this one has turned into a mess. But anyway just like the 2nd reply said. Do a pull. Because thats timing without a load so it has no real relevance. Do a pull and then come back. You wont get 34* of timing. :thumb:
I would imagine so. I couldnt tell you first hand because I changed everything from the exhaust ports back all at once. So I went from bone stock to what I have now in one day. But I did try pushing my t25. I could not feel any real difference between 15ish and 17ish psi. Yea, turning up the...
LOL. But in all seriousness. All t25's fall flat one their faces. Get a real turbo. You are not really going to get any significant gains from a 3in exhaust with a t25.
Actually you can use either. Check the stroker tech. This is one of the things us turbo guys do to get a 2.4l. If I remember correctly using the 64 timing belt is used to get the proper timing mark alignment? Or they dont at all? I forgot. Check out the stroker forum. :thumb:
Another possibility is that they put the Waterpump/Alternator/Power steering pump pulley together wrong. I almost did that before. Ditto on the alternator bearings and add the water pump bearings also. One day I heard unusual noises coming from under the hood. Got home opened the hood and...
I wouldnt take it to the shop for a alternator belt. Unless they are charging like $15. Its so easy to change you can change the belt in the time it takes to take it to the shop. But maybe the reason it snapped is because they over tightened the belt. Or maybe one of you pulleys are...
