Hey! I'm the guy you bought the car off of. I had the 19 inch Axis Spider with 235/35/zr19 on it, and I loved the looks and didnt mind the ride at alll. Since that car is so low, the 19s bring it up a tad which worked well for me. hope that helps, i like you choice of rims, i would def. go...
Hey,I've been on the site forever, but still not allowed to post ads. Why is that soo? I have over 25 posts, but i guess im still a rookie. I see soo many other people posting without having reputation point or having contributed to the forums. Is there something I dont know?Any...
I live in Chicago, and went to a few local shops for a wheel alignment. They wont do it because the car is too low. It the eibach sportline w/tokico, not really that low, but its the freakin bodykit that gets in the way. Anyone know of any shops that might be able to align my wheels? Holla...
Since your changing the fluilds, might as well use the snchroshift 2. I've heard that the best stuff. I have a fwd, so thats all I can assist with. Good Luck
If you dont mind using used parts, you should look under classifieds, 15 mins can save you 50% or more. I see a intercooler pipe set with bov and intake pipe and filter go for 300. Not bad. Also if you dont mind me asking, why greddy? i've had bad experience with greaddy fmic, no...
Only way to know for sure is to go and try it. I think the fuse box is going to get in the way. I just changed back to stock pipes and have a set of 2g pipes if interested, its apexi uicp and bov.Good Luck!
I know your hurting for cash, but if you stick with oem belts, buy origanal mitsubishi belts, or else it may cost you. Also nowadays these gready belts go for about the same price range. check out machv.com And if you do decide to do the tbelt yourself look over the vfaq link, and follow it...
Hey!I hit a pot hole pretty bad I guess (front and rear of passenger side). Now, for one I know I need to get an alingment, because car is pulling to the right. But this is what I can't really figure out: When I go over bums or sewers, It feels like someone lifts the back end of the car...
To get a accurate MPG, what you should do is fill the tank, (do not top off), and zero out your trip. Drive as you would normally and try to go as far as you can, now what you do is check how many gallaons of gas you put into the tank. You take the miles on the trip and divide by the gallons...
this is a usefull thread.... i have a 2g 6bolt with a 14b turbo. I was in the market for a intercooler, any suggestions as to what will be best for moi. I wanted to go fmic, will that be too big?
yep, definitly check the maf connector, and along with that check the intercooler piping couplers.if the above does not fix the problem, check to make sure your spark plug wires are iinstalled properly.good luck
I dont think that can cause any damage unless you weren't filling in oil ocasionaly, knowing you were losing oil. Just for the peace of mind I would throw in a new valve cover gasket and make sure to tighten the bolts. Remember not to over tighten the bolts as that make cause your valve cover...
problem fixed...I had a fuse replaced at a shop and they did not connect the wire in the back of the fuse. It took me over a month to pin point the problem. next time dont just check the fuse, check the wires that lead to the fuse, specially if u let another person work on ## car...
Im sure the car still starts with the one 0 compression right. So start the car, and pull the spark plug wire from the cylinder that shows bad compression: the car should not act any different. Then do the same with another plug wire to a cylinder with good compression, the car will...
Hey! I'm also a older dsmer and would love to become a member now. You think you can also help me out here. I would love to start posting in the classifieds.
You can get a used 14b here on the tuner for about 100 bucks. you can come up with that, its worth it. I have a 14b and love it. I think to swap the 14b you would nedd about 200 which will include all parts.Good Luck.
:nono: I actually did a lotta researh in swapping the evo into a 2g, its possible but not worth the hassle. I agree that evo motors should be left in evos. Here is probably a very good solution: Get a 6 bolt and get it built. for less than 3 thousand dollars you wll have a stronger then...
Hey!car: 96 eclipse gst with a 6bolt motorSummay: Need some help with this, I seem to have tried it all but nothing works. The problem is the alternator is not charging. The Origanal alternator tested bad after replacment the problem remains. Checked and rechecked the alternator and...
is the megan downpipe for the 2g fwd a 3in exit? or a 2.5? i wonder because i have a apexi catback which will allow me to take out that reducer if i can find a downpipe that exits 3in. thanks in advance guys and gals!
I've done the 6bolt swap and went with a 1g intake manifold with the tb. I can say this much for sure you will feel the difference over using a 2g manifold and tb. Also remember to use your 2g tb elbow.I know for sure if you search the vfaq it'll give you pics of both manifolds side by...
