I was playing around with upping the boost with Link and noticed my boost would come up to 16 and immediately drop to 10psi no matter what changes I made in Link. I ended up pulling the boost signal from the wastegate and got the same results. I figured my stock 2g plastic BOV was blowing open...
If I could find a rear diff to get the differential unit out of or atleast a gear set, I would. But I'm most likely just going to trade bastarddsm since I can't seem to find anything.
Lovely. Never done any internal trans work, I guess this is a good time to start. Should I be able to buy the front diff gears or is it something that I'll have to get them out of a stock trans?
I recently found out that the 2G I just purchased has the trans W5M33-2-UPFE Evo 3 RS which requires a different transfer case a rear gearset. From what I've read, the transfer case for the Evo 3 has the same gears as the 97-99 DSMs (can someone confirm this?) but I have yet to be able to find...
Been out of the game a while and recently picked up a stock 95 AWD Talon 5 speed. The guy I got the car from flips cars somewhat. He got the car from a guy who, for some reason, had pulled the driveshaft and transfer case and was basically driving it around somehow with just the front wheels...

well i hooked up my greddy profec b spec 2 today and i started to tune it and i got it where it would boost to like 14psi, right where i want it but once it hit 14 it would drop back to 10psi quickly. i may just be a noob but i dont know why it isnt working exactly right. thanks all and please...
mavisky, how long did it actually take u to finish your swap bc I also plan to do this swap bc i have a 90 awd talon and i also have a 90 Fwd turbo wrecked and a 90 2.0 nt and my dad wants to swap the turbo motor to the nt car cause he wants to drive it to work and also mod it. thanks.

90 FWD turbo 5 sp. 120,000 $ 400 hit in front and rear, gonna use it for parts
90 NT 1.8 auto Laser perfect inside and out $200
91 NT 2.0 5 spd talon hit in pass. fender $400
it would prolly be easier too if u use like a razor blade or a scraper and get it hot. like put a lighter under it and get the metal scraper or blade hot then the blade would go through the silicon like butter. just a thought, it works good on windshields
I agree with this guy, a nitrous spoolup kit is what i would go with bc there are no negative side effects from it i.e. less power higher in the rpms. Just a thought. :talon:

the 6 and 7 bolts you are hearin about arent refering to the main caps as in a chevy v8 with 2 and 4 bolt mains, its referin to the # of bolts that hold the flywheel on. Correct me if im wrong. The 6 bolt which comes in the earlier models are the best to get. :talon:
i was just kiddin around, nice turbo on the 240, i got a 95 with a CAI and exhaust. I was gonna do more but then i found my DSM's so now the 240 will be a college car. :talon:
I like this idea or u could use a type of filler called Kitty Hair or somethin like that that has fiberglass in it cause the bondo will crack in time bc there is nothing on the back holdin it. Just a thought. :talon:
I'd jump the car or charge the batt. and crank it up and let it warm up to norm. temps and let it sit for bout 10 mins or so and see if it starts to loosen up. Just a thought. :talon:
a friend of mine with a 97 GST has hit fuel cut prolly 10-15 times. I drove it to school 1 day and it hit FC 2 times that mornin and 1 time that afternoon granted he was runnin 18psi bc his controller was messin up or he had it set too high. he's still runnin the t25
You can buy this think that allows u to screw the piston back it at any autoparts store. the piece is universal so all u hafta do is spin it around until it works for ur specific car. Its a good piece to buy and prolly on like 5 bucks. and prolly a lil better than the needle nose pliers. :talon:
you are actually boosting while in neutral or with the clutch pressed it. Thats why ur boost gauge reads 0 instead of negative numbers bc if u werent boosting at all, it would be in the negative numbers, and this is also why u can here the swoosh or psshh sound on some cars when in nuetral. I...

I have a 95 240sx and rwd in the rain is just plain fun! If u dont get too crzy u dont hafta worry about sliddin out of control and what not but if u do wanna pop the clutch in a turn or somethin like that, you have some fun in the rain. Thats just MO. :talon:
