The right answer is that under normal driving conditions the car is at a complete 50/50 split but... Under a hard launch it becomes 60/40 becuase of the viscous coupling. So which are we talking about? This would make sence because then if we already had a 50/50 split why would people weld...
Probably would have been way easier if you were to go with a shearer fab. dual fuel pump he has them all fabed ready to install, its pretty much bolt on, for any one wantin dual pumps with out doing their own work. But good work on the doing it yourself +1 Good luck with the project!
I was wondering if there is anyone that makes a carbon fiber spark plug cover for our cars Yes I searched this topic... found nothing if any one makes them or knows where to buy them let me know!!! thanks :thumb:
Wires wont make you run rich but it will cause a miss fire and studdering if one of the wires is arching on something. Do another boost leak test just to make sure you found all the leaks.
NICE! Looks like she was running a little phat but I'm sure with some more tweeking you'll get it running faster. Not bad for the first few passes to start off the 07 season :thumb:
Take it to a place that welds aluminum have them plug that hole and make a new one on the pass side. Thats what I did with mine, look in my pics to get an idea.
2jz stock will support 800hp... fuel and a big turbo should work just fine! Show me any domestic v8 that supports 800hp stock...I'm not sure it exsists maybe the new z06 motor but thats about it. But if we are talking about built V8s I would definately want a dart block pretty much...
Get a really big speeding ticket where you get thrown in jail for reckless op. and pay a large fine and have your car taken to an impound lot... I'm pretty sure you wont speed again it worked for me!
If any of you guys saw this episode on TV he is my neighbore in Kent. I was laughing my ass off when I saw this!!! LOL He is now semi famous for having Bam laugh at his name is turn it into a joke! Enjoy!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSkQVvQ2e8YOh and here is a quote by Bam that...
:( Oops I must have skipped over that thread. Oh well If the mods wanna merge these two together thats fine. The new manifold would be sweet I'd be very tempted to change over but thats alot of work considering i'd have to change my manifold wastegate and downpipe but if the gains/weight...
Check this out I donno if any of you have seen these yet but Tial is offering these for alot of turbos out there! This one is for the gt42r Shearer Is offering them for the gt30 and the gt28 and the gt42. Looks like it would help spool ALOT on the bigger turbos.
Shep does not run a bov on his new set up only reason being is that hes running a 42r that has anti-surge ports on it which allow for air to escape out of the inlet before it gets pushed back against the compressor causing compressor surge.http://www.shepracing.com/images/racecarmotorL.jpg
Theres a few ways to break in a motor... I chose the motomans way of doing it. Hard accel. through the whole powerband at moderate boost a few times did the trick.http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htmHeres a good website I found that explains how to properly break in an engine.
It should be fine by now. When my car was finnished we took it to the dyno with 0 miles on the motor set boost at 13 psi and did a few pulls set the idle and main fuel curve then continued to tune on pump gas up to 20 psi and then did a race gas tune at 33 psi. The biggest issue is making...
Whatt size turbo is that?! It looks like a t4 hotside I hope you get that thing to spool!! Looks like it should be good for some nice numbers though...is it ball bearing?
If you have 30k to play with you could either have a stock evo thats new or a completely built gsx with every mod possible costum to you....I'd take the gsx
I really like the ideas of goin with black carpet and maybe a suede black headliner and then I was looking on that c2motorsports.com website that makes pretty much anything you need out of carbonfiber and I got the idea of a carbonfiber center counsole. A guy i know picked up a Porsche GT2 and...
Its funny how people who dont have built motors hate on turbo lag....The way I see it is even if your car spools at 5k rpms once you hit full boost you will forget about the first 5000 rpms anyway! :sneaky:
I really like that all black interior it think it would complement the rest of the car cause I have black wheels so having a black interior would look sick. I like the idea of black carpet too! Does that come factory? would i beable to get that at the dealer? I know the headliner I would...
The acid solution question is just basic algerbra read more into the numbers not that actual content of what the acid solution the only thing I can add is that when I say "pure acid" it means 100%
Definatly going to keep it clean and classy. I'm really liking the Idea of going black with everything. Girlsgofaster thank you for the web site. I might be having them do some cf work. Anyone know if the sell real carbon fiber gauge pods? I would also like to find a cf B pillar to match.
Heres an Idea...:thumb:Tell her you're taking her out to dinner. Drive for miles so she thinks
it's going to be really special. Then take her to a burning tire yard. When
she starts to get upset, tell her you were just kidding and now you're
really going to take her to dinner. Then...
Heres one.... If one day it is 0 degrees outside and the next day its twice as cold how cold is it out side?OR...How much pure acid should be mixed with 5 gallons of a 30% acid solution in order to get a 70% acid solution?
I think if I do anything with paint on the interior its gunna be the gauge bazel and it would be painted shiny black with a hi gloss clear. I'm also thinkin about making a black headliner and keeping an all black interior. I have gery dash board I was thinkin about pullin that out in exchange...
We'll now that winter has came and the exterior and motor are done with my car the last thing to do is interior. Is gutted right now and I will be installing racing seats. Now the problem is I dont have any really good ideas as far as waht to do with the interior. Stereos and lights and all...
