for stock i'd say it's too big. I did 2.5in short route piping on my FMIC that routed the UICP between the intake and trasnmission, so if you're planning on taking this route im pretty sure 3 inch piping would be a pain.

The only things he should really worry about are injectors, a fuel pump and the proper tuning software. You are looking at running more fuel, and 550s will not cut it. If you go bigger injectors than 660s you're going to want somehting other than an AFC to tune with.It does not take twice...

You can buy universial pipes on ebay, but it will be close to impossible to find hard pipes for a 2nd gen with an evo core. My suggestion is you buy one of the universal kits and alter the piping so it fits right for your applicatoin.

Although spark plugs can be a good sign that you are running lean, a logger would be ALOT better to diagnose the problem. If you dont have a logger I would turn down the boost a little until you can log it.Also, I didnt notice an after market boost gauge, are you reading from the stock gauge...

If you dont mind going use try Mitsubishi graveyard or Mad DSM

I haven't taken mine off in a while, but im pretty sure I did the bottom ones with a large extension on a socket wrench..
