Hey Justin,I just got a Bullseye S259 and i plan on feeding it from the head with -4an and -10an return. Bullseye's website says oil pressure shouldn't be lower than 60psi at normal rpms. What exactly is normal RPMs and do you know whats the max oil pressure is safe for this turbo.I plan on...
Whats the max safe oil pressure on a s259?I just got this turbo and will be using a -4an feed and -10an return.I have balance shafts removed and plan on feeding from the head, havn't installed a oil pressure gauge yet so not sure how much oil i am gettign from the head.
Look through the build journals, there really isn't a list posted anywhere. You can buy the evergreen gasket kit off ebay, it will have all the gaskets, seals and rings you need. Just use a different head gasket or i did atleast. Then you got pistons, rods, rings, rod bolts, main bolts, head...
No its not really more work.Main thing will be buying a RRE Cas harness or splicing wires and grinding the 2g motor mount bracket to fit the 6bolt water pump.Everything else is same as a regular motor swap.
Yes you most likely lost the tune since you have DSMlink V2. Unless previous owner has it saved on his computer, you will need a retune. And for the blow off valve, the big hose coming off the intake should be connected to the big open end of the blow off valve. Also the nipple on the bov...
Do you already have a 6 bolt block? If not then save your money and just keep the 7 bolt. However, there are plenty of threads full of information about 6bolt swaps.6 Bolt Motor Install Into a 2G Eclipsehttp://magnusmotorsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/1gina2g.pdf
Sounds like your trustworthy mechanic is trying to make a quick buck off of you. Just cause the car is throwing the crank sensor code, doesn't mean you got crankwalk.Check for end play and compare to the factory limits then you will know for sure if you are crankwalking or not.
Just buy the stubby shaft from Mitsu and you can reuse the same bearings.Just make sure to block off the oil holes when you are putting the bearings back in.
I just got a 3" inlet turbo and my injen intake has a 2.25" inlet i believe. So i assume i will need a bigger intake.Only intake i keep finding that is 3"+ and has a recirculation tube is a FP.Even though as a regular pipe for 70$ its not bad... i can't justify paying $189 for one with...
Cap is the bleeder valve..There is 2 big bolts one on top of the caliper and one on the bottom. If you found the bottom one.. then just look on top of that one there should be another one.
There is 2 bolts holding the caliper and 2 bolts holding the caliper bracket. You just need the 2 long bolts out to take the caliper off your car + a brake line which will leak break fluid once u unscrew it.
I just did this yesterday. You need to use the 1g tensioner arm and you need to grind down the 2g motor mount to clear the water pump. You will figure out how much once you try putting the water pump on.
Hey justin i bought this rebuilt pte6152 and it came with that restrictor thing on the oil feed hole. How do i know which feed line will fit -3an or 4?I am feeding from the OFH and Balance shafts removed on fresh stock 6bolt rebuild.
I just bought one of their manifolds. Mitsu flange and 38mm wastegate flange, this was the only manifold i found with those options. It looks like decent quality, i just installed it so we'll see how long it lasts.OBX does offer a lifetime warranty... not sure if they actually honor it...
Yeah i have a set of 2ga talon twistys they just need to be painted.Don't want to spend money doing that yet.. and i can't stand looking at my car without 1 door cap on the stock side skirts. Been looking for 2ga OR 2gb eclipse door caps. Way too hard to find... so i might just end up...
Hey we just did timing job on the 6 bolt motor and we can't seem to get the crankshaft sprocket to line up.The cams.gears line up and tensioner is correct. The crankshaft sprocket area seems like if we turn it one tooth over it still won't line up and end up to the right of the mark.Well...
