well it will be the same since most people think the 90s have the NT cams in them allready...if anything find some 92-93 turbo cams, they can be had for under a hundred if you look hard enough :D
the point of the strap is for the O2 sensor to work properly. whne the catlyic converter warms up it becomes charged -/+ slightly, i forget which, and since its hung with rubber hangers the closest place it can see ground is the O2 sensor and it ####s up the reading.....thats why the...
other then bearing sizes and seal sizes and cam gear differences they should work.the evo still fires 1342 like ours does and still turns the same directionthe only problem is why woudl you waste money on something that may not fit and will likely cost quite a bit if you could 1 actually...
you will heat soak any IC while on dyno. it doesn't have 70MPH air passing through it. if you're lucky teh shop might have a huge fan that can put out 15MPH gust for it...
i woudl disagree on the FMIC Apexi knows how to make endtanks which is something all FMICs from dsm vendors seem to be oblivious to..the 18G is by far a huge waste of cash you could buy 3 16Gs or 2 20Gs and an external WG for that much
p.s. i have a set of 8.5mm magnecores waiting at home for when i do my HG oil pump water pump etc and install my cyclone manifoldSorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 60 seconds.now i just need to pick up the MAFT and LT1 MAF :o
i guess you've never bought any parts even with a DSM discount from a dealer. and napa and others are just as rediculous in their pricing. going with upgraded magnecores or MSD wires from what i've seen so far are ~$20 cheaper that oem/oem replacements
if thats the case then why did GM put a AIR->Water IC on the Syclone/Typhoon? they were by no means built as drag trucks...the only reason why most people consider them strip only is. when people see them on a drag car theres no external heat exchanger and the team that races it fills the...
that core has "hi i just learned how to tig weld" written all over itplease lets see how many more "shops" can copy buschurs designs.it will be good for the canadians and generally not worth the extra hassle and duty and taxes and possible months of detention by customs for american...
the crappy welding is mostly a dig at the rash of "shops" sprouting up in the past year that just copy everyone elses designs while laying down some of the shittiest welds i have ever seen.my RNR exhaust is one of them, if i had known how crappy the person was @ just MIG i would have saved...
wow look another copy of buschurs crappy FMIC design how original.what we need is less crappy people who have tig welded for 2 months and more people who can shape endtanks for flow.
a 12oz bottle of octane booster might raise your 93 octane to 93.1 octane.if you want real octane booster 2Gal 93 + 1 gal Xylene or Toulene = 3 gal 100octane
pretty good, now people just need to install the mopar LSD in these cars.i also find it pretty rediculous those asshats on HT bashing a car that makes stock twice as much tq and 50+ more HP  and with just a few mods makes more HP then they could ever hope to make NA, and makes...
my suggestionEBAY and include keywords RICE HONDA CIVIC FAST AND FURIOUS JDM EDM EURO TURBO INTERCOOLER, etci'm sure some moron ricer with a project car will want it and be willing to pay 200-300 for it. a 14B is ~ the same size if not bigger then any saab or even volvo turbo ever...
is there any dsm vendor that knows how to make real endtanks?all i've seen is the work of people who can TIG weld, and by the looks of this one just learned TIG in the past month...
what i was trying to get @ is, if you plan on going to the track every weekend from april-october, you don't want to waste your time and money on the starion, if you're like me and could care less about drag racing this may be the right cheap FMIC for you.personally i allready had a moddded...
i run 35bar in my car :rolleyes:incidently theres some class in tractor pulls that have run tri compound and quad compound turbos and see 300-500PSI manifold pressure.
if you could get the 1st one with outlets on opposite sides that would work the best.the second one is just horrible, its built buy someone who knows how to tig weld and thats it.
buy Starquest FMIC for less then $20
straighten fins for 4 hours
find welding shop to cut out old pipes from FMIC weld plates over and put larger 2.25 or 2.5 pipes on the endtanks $100-200
spend 8 hours and $120 in couplers and mandrel bends to attach starion FMIC.if you use the stock...
i'm sure the specs are pretty good. you will want to keep an eye on ebay for when they start shwoing up in the next few months. if you plan on getting one from the dealer you might as well buy the car becasue it will cost a small fortune for one.
you will have to TIG weld it, i know there are MIG setups that can do aluminum, but those are meant for much thicker aluminum and i doubt you'll find a shop with one.it takes a lot of practice to know when you have a weld pool with aluminum, since the whole outer layer of aluiminum oxide...
it will work, though it would probably work better if you had had the injectors angled instead of perpendicular to the spacer?i plan on doing something similar except with a set of 360s or 240s, and using either a 3Bar map sensor & adjustable voltage siwtches, or a pair of hobbes pressure...
AKAIK the only V6 that will fit in a 2G frame is the 2.5L V6 that the avenger uses which is the same frame as the 2Gs.www.asog.net has a person on there that did a TT 2.5L avenger, though you'll not want to find out how much money he has wasted on the project and the meager results he has...
the starion FMIC is only worth using if you get the end tanks moded.if you can get a starion for $20 like i did and spend $100 to have the endtanks moded and $60 on piping and couplers, and don't plan making 1/4 times your life the starion is a worthwhile upgrade.the only thing is...
its not impossible its just ussually a very dumb idea to weld cast iron to anything. about the only smart thing to do is braze it and hope for the best....plus depending what O2 you have, perhaps an EVO3 they have a much higher nickel and cadmium chromium contents which make it almost...
you can reuse the O2 gasket as long as it isn;t real bad.p.s. why the #### aren;t you installing it yourself? if yuu don;t have the tools or the know how sell your car now and buy a honda.
AHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAmy best friends father in HS took the inner weights of my friends car as a "speed limiter". the car would shake violently above 53mph
its rediculous looking.also i was under the impression that when using wheels with a gross offest like what would be needed for that kit, that the wheel bearings take a huge beating and in some cases have failed?
didn't see this was covered, but thermo-tec does sell a kit to seal there wraps, i think its a resin of some sort and it impregnates their wraps and forms a water resistant outer skin.
www.vfaq.combuild the tool with sears part $40 total if you have to pay someone to weld it.or you can order a real tool from napa ETC and spend in excess of $300i built the vfaq tool with sears parts, works like a charm.tip on using the tool once you have a good bit of tension...
don;t waste your money on a ported O2housing unless its an EVO3just find a 2.5" O2 eliminator downpipe with internal dump, the WG dump will be as large or larger then anyone can port on a stock O2i bought an RNR O2 elim last summer and will be touchin up the welds once i pull my...
