At least with GAS they seem to do at least some engine work. As opposed to some new plug wires and an air filter. They put a turbo motor into a VW Thing a while back.
I think Lex works well for a 1st movie (well 1st new movie). I haven't seen it yet, but from what I understand, this will be a new franchise, like Xmen, Spiderman, etc. So there should be a few sequels. Makes sense that Lex would be the 1st villain, then they'd go on from there.Also...
In playing around with it this weekend, it seems that if I press the remote while holding it under the dash, it works perfect, but doesn't work at all anywhere else. So I assume the antenna must be under there somewhere, any idea what it might look like, I can't seem to find anything.
Why does every cheap, quick car have to look awful? Think of the oodles of money they'd get if they had a nice looking, cheap, quick car. It can't jack up the price that much to not make it ugly.
I can't stand that cell phone commercial where all the kids are like zombies because they don't have a cell phone. It's supposed to look like a horror movie. Terrible.
The thing that makes cars like this an instant classic, is that they pay no respect to the many dents, rust and horrible faded paint. They instead decide that what will REALLY make it look good is the muffler and "body kit."
Well, phase one is completed. I convinced the wife of the need for a new car. I told her it was AWD, good in the winter, a hatchback so that I can fit my band equipment into it meaning I won't be borrowing her car as much, that it was a great deal. She listened to pretty much none of that...
Yeah, she'd know, no sense even trying, haha.Well, that's the thing, I'm looking for a daily driver. Something to get me from point A to point B and have some fun while doing it. When I met her she was driving a 1G Laser RS. So I know she appreciates DSMs. It's more a money thing, but...
Eh, she knows me too well for that to go unnoticed. It's more a matter of her being happy that I don't have a car payment right now, but I'll have one if I get this, though it's be far lower than what the Spyder was. I bought that when it was only a year old.
Yeah, I just paid off the Spyder a few months ago. So I'm itching to get something with some actual power. And for the prices I've been seeing, I could use the savings to mod it decently. I think I may do it. Depends on what the wife thinks, hehe.
I've been seeing some great deals on GSXs lately around here. For a while it was near impossible to even find one. But of course, most are in the 90-110k mileage range. The issue here is that I'm looking for a daily driver. I'd love a GSX, but with that kind of mileage, what would the odds...
Wow, I've actually never seen that.I've debadged my car, but not out of embarrasment, just because I didn't like the look. But to actually REbadge it falsely, that's messed up.
I don't think I explained it right. They work, but I have to hit the button a million times for it to work. The day earlier they both worked on the first hit.
It's a CrimeGuard I think. It's not the remote. I have 2 remotes and neither are working all of a sudden. I can't imagine what the odds of both of them breaking on the same day would be. And it's definitely the right battery, only one kind will fit, those A23s.I'll have to search around...
So yesterday I go to get in my car. I hit the remote, and nothing. I figure the battery must be dead in the remote. So I got a new battery, put it in, and still nothing. No matter how many times I hit it, it wouldn't disarm the alarm. I've never had a problem whatsoever until yesterday...
One other question: The check engine light actually went out later today, but the emissions guy was telling me that it's in there until it resets, is that true? More a curiosity, I'll still disconnect and all that.
Well, the reason it's misfiring is because the plugs are fouled. I know this because it happens every 6 months or so. There's obviously a bigger problem that's making the plugs foul so quickly, but for now I just want to pass emissions so I can get it re-registered.
Mostly higway, but some street too. I'll disconnect the battery and then reconnect. I have temp plates for 10 days, I figure by next Sat. I should be good, correct? And yeah, the problem is fixed. Thanks!
I failed emissions today due to a cylider misfire. I know this was due to a fouled spark plug. If I disconnect my battery then reconnect, will it erase the code?
Right, but I'm talking about Americans. I highly doubt that someone who's able to spend $70k on a "fun" car is thinking Nissan. I'm not saying that it's not worth the price tag, just that the average guy with that kind of money for a "fun" car is probably in his 50's.
I doubt it will sell that well at that price. Think about the key demographic, it's probably about the same as the people who want an Evo/STi. No one who can spend $70,000 on a car is going to want to buy a Nissan that they've never heard of.
My wife complains that my car is too fast already WTF And that I shouldn't be trying to make it faster. I don't think she's ever actually been in a fast car.
The main problem is that people think little things like cutting people off and driving in the passing lane will get them to their destination faster. It's psychological. These are just morons. I truly believe that they think being in the passing lane is the equivalent of driving faster (ie...
I hate them based solely on the fact that my band had been working on a killer version of Land Of Confusion, and now we can't play it because it'll sound like we're covering Disturbed.
