Sure spec is working fine, just saying that there are lots of horror stories out there...It's also already been proven WAY MORE TIMES that grenading, exploding, shrapnel, snapping, etc is bound to happen to all of us with stock components...even awddynamite has admitted to having it happen...
Exhaust Gas Recirculation is an emissions control device, it's there for a reason. If your state has an Inspection/Maintenance program, you're gonna fail without question. We're slowly killing our environment, and everyone will eventually be required to abide by California Air Resource Board...
Exhaust gas is just that, exhausted. There should be very little to no oxygen content. The ideal products of a complete combustion, are simply CO2 and H2O. O2 levels vary as if on a seesaw with CO. Carbon Monoxide is the product of an incomplete burn of the hydrocarbon vapors. More CO...
+1After about 35mph, the cooling fans are no longer required. I was just curious if they are indeed working correctly or not. Let's say is fans are intermittently failing, thus causing him to overheat. It could have only taken one or two times of this happening, and he boiled over some of...
We like to get techical around these parts LOLThank you Paul for explaining that because I might have been a tad more degrading in detailing 5v reference signals, potentiometers, thermistors, and such hehe (for future reference blitz, please don't challenge my intellenge. I by no means...
+1dsmlink = 4g63...this forum = 420a :shhh:Also, dry shot just utilizes your fuel system by modifying fuel pressure to increase duty cylcle of injectors, while a wet shot actually injects extra fuel along with the nitrous.
You're both n3wbs hahaha...voltage consistencies? What exactly does that mean?If you wanna verify that you're overheating. Let the car warm up to the point that it begins to go towards the hot side. You pop the hood...you check that the coolant fans are on, check to see if you're really...
The 3.55 neon trans has the different final drive ratio compared to our stock 3.94:1I never said bulletproof, but definitely not too shabby. Sorry your diff exploded, that's why I recommended getting a quaife at the same time. I've had tranny grenades as well send shrapnel throughout. :notgood:
Get rid of the spec clutch, and go with a Southbend model. While the tranny is out, you might consider the 3.55 switch and a lsd if funding is available :thumb:EDIT: ...and yes, they're not that hard hehe
I replied to your pm... :thumb:If you plan on looking for a rebuilt transaxle, you might as well just get a neon transmission...you can find a early 2000's one in good condition with the 3.55 As I stated in the pm and paul here...that with the quaife lsd, southbend clutch, mopar OEM mtx...
Neither for 420a...even if you're really at the hp you're thinking, your stock transmission will be fine. If anything, you should spend your money on a quaife lsd and 3.55:1 gearing.
You've still yet to fix your grammar, spelling, punctuation issues...it's quite annoying to read your posts. :toobad:I just hope all your threads on these multiple forums have actually helped.
oops, just found some more in that jumble of yours...Don't get that "cosmic" head gasket or what not, go to the Chrysler dealership and get the newest version of the OEM Multi Layer Steel head gasket.I also didn't notice any exhaust on your list, so at least 2.5" piping all the way...
First off...please learn a little punctuation, spacing, capitalization, etc lol.your post was very hard to read.that probably won't be tolerated much on this forum.know what i mean?now that we got that outta the way, we may proceed.Your lists seems pretty good. The fuel setup you have...
A buddy of mine has given me a starion fmic that he has no use for any longer. I was wondering if anyone has used one of these before? I would love saving the couple hundred bucks by using this intercooler for now if at all possible. I've attached a pic of a similar one that's on ebay at the...
haha, I actually prefer to see carnage threads :rocks:If you take a little time out of your schedule for a little searching, you'll find plenty of posts and threads by me. Lots of my super crappy luck etc etc. There's snow on my car because I was in Alaska, but yes I'm in Florida now...
Why do dead threads have to be resurrected? Could you not have just pm'd him about the exhaust if you really wanna get that $20 sweet deal?If you did any research you would see, that some of the main complaints about the intake manifolds in our market are as follows: not that they don't...
Nope, I never read any threads you post in sippy cup dude ### I can't stand to see what you type lol. EManage is not recommended on our vehicle for a reason. There's always the black sheep tho, so to each his own.
Welcome to the 420a forum LOL.As has been stated multiple times. Get a new boost controller! After you have a decently functioning one, then you can worry about how to hook the thing up (which has incidentally already been answered many times as well).
So your super custom suspension isn't here, and you instead decided to just order whatever? I doubt he'll be stuffing anything that big in there brakes wise.
What exactly are you referring to? The only thing is the vss itself mounted on the transmission around the back area under the throttle body. It's a 3 wire sensor: one power, one ground, and signal. The signal is sent back to the ecu, then out to the dashboard to display on speedometer. I have...
This doesn't seem like engine management forum material to me.Do a compression test to verify the condition of your engine, better safe than sorry :thumb:
You're arguing a moot point. The MS is not that hard to figure out, everyone just makes a big deal out of it. If you can't take the little time to read and talk with the others who know what's up, then you don't even deserve to own a boosted 420a. Tuning is tuning, megasquirt just has the...
I paid:MSnS with harness, sensors, etc: $350
75lb/hr siemens deka injector x4: $250
Aeromotive 1:1 fuel regulator: $125That's only $725 and could have been even cheaper if I wasn't pressed for time and built my own board and harness instead. Paul was definitely over estimating for...
You can build a megasquirt for under $100 easy...like 70 somethin I believe. Just takes some soldering skills and what not. Granted, that's not a task for just anyone, but it can be done.
hahaha...not that I don't have two 420a turbos right here in orlando that I see and play with on a regular basis ;)Joel aka WickedESI
Mark aka BatmanMark actually just got his ms up and running, and Joels car should be back on the road tonight after a blown headgasket prompted a little...
Oh boo...I read his post funny. I thought he said they were already facing the right way, but backwards somehow, or something like that. Yup yup, definitely should have 2.0 facing outwards, with notches aligned while tdc.
