Built a new exhaust manifold and replaced the ebay gates/intercooler/bov with real stuff ETS cooler, tial gates and bov, little more boost on the 6466 still on stock bottom end, just some cams and headstuds. Shes still going strong, the new motor is lonely just sitting on the stand, this old...
Looks like Josh has responded."Hey man, there's no fraud, just didn't see your message there, my phone doesnt use page manager rightAll the subframes are finishing up daily, had an issue with control arm placement that was resolved recentlyHad to wait for a car that was together to make...
You might want to start the procedure to get your money back, I am in the same boat as you. Paid deposit, no communication in the last few months. Stay away from True Street Tuning and Fabrication. I am going to see what I can do about getting it reported as fraud.
It has not broken anything racing it all summer. We do have a t case brace and a read end brace. Not looking to dyno it or take it to the track it is more of a grudge 1/8 street car. It is only on a street tune, and we have it a bit on the soft side to help keep it together. The new motor is...
We specialize in tuning, Have been tuning since 92 ish. We have been tuning AEM ecu's since the first one hit the market back in 1999 ish when only 1 fuel and 1 timing map worked lol. This car is on a AEM V2. It has help up very well for a 100k mile stock motor, with cams, springs, retainers...
The rest of this summers races, ended the season on a 6266, stock motor is still going strong, but the 16 gauge manifold we built isn't loving life so much, re-weleded it 3-4 times this winter and it cracked on the last run against the Gt500 and only made 22 psi, oh well the new motor is almost...
This exact turbo turned all the way up 32 psi.http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=TRB-GT35-2-T4-68&Category_Code=TRBT4
Small update, repainted the car, Bradco built the converter, Metro helped trouble shoot some trans stuff, Kiggly helped with some of the nitrous setup, after some seat time and some tuning time on the street she is running strong for the last few months. Have seen 42 psi on the 6266 on accident...
Wondering if 1g auto transfer gears are the same as the 2g auto ones, also I can not seem to find anywhere to buy the straight cut transfer gears, does anybody have a lead for the straight cut gears. Thanks
They are potent little cars with autos, we have raped everything on the street around here in the last few months with a stock motor stock auto trans in a 1g and a 6266, turn it up to 38 psi just to make it fun and it puts 10+ cars on all the low 10 high 9 sec rwd cars in the 1/8 on the street. lol
Only mods to the longblock are cams, springs/retianers, balance shafts removed, reused ARP head studs and reused the stock mls gasket that was on the car when we bought it in April. had to swap the head because one cam journal was burned up when we went to put in the new Kelfords so we put...
Not really a secret it is called AMS but I am in Albuquerque, NM, and I am sure there are shops in your part of the country that are capable of precise work, I have had to take a few motors back because they were on the tight side upon assembly/blueprint, problem was corrected and together they...
If E85 is local to you I would not even consider anything else in any car. We are are beaint shit stock bottom end car 30+ psi on 6266 and E85 for 2 moths now and its taking it like a champ, even saw 42 psi on a 1-2 gear pull (auto) and shes still thumping right alone 100k stock bottom end.
There are way more bad machine shops out there than good ones. Most of the bearing issues I have seen have been due to poor machine work, I am very grateful for my top notch machinist, never lost a bearing on any motors we have built lost count a long time ago, lsx, 4g, b series, K series, SBC...
I mean the cut is softer than what the AEM wizard sets, even on the softest setting it would knock the boost out of the car on the third cut so I had to soften the cut up a lot the keep the car on boost. IT is ignition cut and it won't even hold the rpm in neutral but in gear it is working very...
I am using an AEM V2 and using the 2 step turned way down. The factory setting would knock all the boost out of the car on the 3 rd cut. I can get it to go higher on the converter but the brakes wont hold it and sometimes it pushes at 4400 rpm. Are you guys on a 2g trans and PI converter?
What brakes? We are on brakeman pads all the way around, new drilled and slotted rotors, vacuum pump and have to grab the e brake and foot brake as hard as I can to keep the car from creeping at 4500 and 15 psi, yours just looks like it stops easy and firm. Guessing your on a PI converter, I...
The converter is the biggest piece of the puzzle, I say get the converter in first with the turbo/cams and see where you need to go from there. Precision seems to be the #1 choice for 2g trans guys.
No sir just the good ol atf+4 wanted it as thin as I could get it, Have yet so find a converter guy who understands altitude, every one we have ever put into a car has gone back at least once for a restall. Probably going to sell off this brand new 1g trans and converter and just go PI. Unless...
What converter are you running. Got My Bradco and it is too tight for my altitude, really need a converter company that has a handle on the dsm's, like Chance and Pro Torque do in the domestic world.
Older chassis, parts are grossly overpriced, and of course the finickyness (is that a word, lol) of the car in general. Just my opinion of course, but after tuning all makes and models over the last 20 years it is just the circle of things, Hondas are all but dead in the southwest too.
Didn't realize it was you I had talked with on the phone the other day about the 91 roller. I called them and they were very friendly but decided to go with Bradco, Have this stock converter sitting here if they can do a balloon plate for nitrous I may just send it off to them, Bradco is...
Sounds like you have an AEM, if it is reading 100% throttle then it will in a flood clear mode and you will not get any fuel, you need to go to wizzards and calibrate the tps so it reads 0 then worry about making it work.
No offense intended. I was simply stating the fact I do not see any other car group talk so much about knock sensors, while discussing tuning. Not good or bad just an observation. With your explanation of not wanting to dyno tune a DSM, for whatever reason, would make sense on the heavy...
I don't understand y so many DSMers are so reliant on the knock sensors? Is it a new tuner thing? I mean if you are rich, low timing and you are seeing knock obviously the knock sensor is wrong. Now I am assuming boost is reasonable. I would have to attribute it to new tuners, with that...
Don't want to step on any toes feel free to PM me. What I mean by variables stuff like ignition problems, turbo problems. there can be a lot of problems with builds when they go to get tuned. I am not saying you have any of those problems, but they do pop up.
As a tuner for 20 years, there could be a lot of variables you have not mentioned, which would affect my opinion as a professional shop owner/tuner. With that being said, I personally do not like going much over 20 psi on pump gas, the a/f looks like it leans out at the top and the car is...
We run the Magnafuel 4703 in our 1200 hp Camaro and it works great on E85, it is a bit noisy and overkill imo for a street driven DSM. We are relatively new Holley dealers so we are just getting to use the products but the pumps so far have been very quiet. We run 3 255 Walbro in our customers...
Not many people in the DSM world are using them but the new Holley twin pumps are working great in the domestic world. We are currently testing one on a 66 nova with a LS3 and a Vortec blower at 800 HP on E85. Super quiet and no failure as of yet but we only have a few miles on it.This...
I thought mine came with a switch to use the stock ecu or the box, I am running it as a stand alone without the tcu, I could snap a pic if he needed of the wires we tapped but sounds like he has got it. :thumb:
