Correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't the GT3082 the same thing as fp 3065 if, so it will flow about 65lbs per minute rite? Now the new FP3582 doesn't that only flow also about 65LBS per minute? Why not go to a full GT42r upgrade? The car is a drag car only isn't it? Also why is your reaction...
So are you saying that a hacked up, rusted, welded external wastegate on the manifold looks better than an FP 30 series turbo setup? I also believe that a wastegate on the o2 housing will be stronger than on the manifold. Reason being is do a search of the agp turbo kits, and you will find...
You may want to rethink your statement. If you look inside the turbine housing you will notice that the o2 passage comes before the turbine wheel. In other words the exhaust flows by the o2 passage before it comes in contact with the turbine wheel!!
not to be a party crasher, but you stated that they were having printing issues that day so dont you think that gaining 8 mph in the trap is alot.
You're kidding right, you'll soon find out how hard its to tune a car especially one with a set of secondary injectors. This Modification baffles me because you're doing all this custom work and at the end of the day those eight injectors are still going to flow less than a set of 4, 550cc...
. Not to mention the switchable tranny's and TC's are inherently weaker than a stock AWD tranny and TC.Do you have proof of this statement or is this your personal opinion? I have been beating on a switchable tranny and t-case on my car since 2003 and its still holding fine. (FYI)...
If your goals are low 12's to high 11's stick with the oem stuff. If you do some research you'll quickly find out that 1st gen 6 bolt motors are good for about 500hp with proper tuning of course.

Not true, quit giving missinformation!!! :nono:
14b @ 15psi = 405 cfm
S16G @ 15psi= 505 cfm
B16G @ 15psi = 550 cfm
should i keep going, or can you see that the bigger the turbo the more air its moving!!
infamousmarcus/ project thas all he wants, correction from last post. Friennds are really experienced, went to uti, worked with nascar, been workin on cars forever at a shop, etc...my friend are quite old and experienced hehe. but yea. Lemmeh know whats needed and not, cuz well thas what we're...
Why dont you get a trucking company to ship it for you? In the past I've paid about $125 on shipping form California to Washington state on shipping, and you wont need a box they strap it on a pallet and off it goes. :talon:
Ultimatedsm- I forgot to mention a real EVO 3 motor does not have the red valve cover it has a titanium like color, and the intake manifold looks similar to that of a sencond gen dsm. ps sorry if it looks like i'm picking on you Ultimatedsm but i'm tired of people spreading wrong information on...
Sounds like you're having disengageing problems. The easiest thing to do is replace the slave and master clutch cylinder, you can buy them both new at Nopi.com for about $60 bucks. :talon:
Raising the rear of the car about one and a half to two inches would increase traction, the reason is that the car has more wieght on the front and it won't squat as much during the launch. As far as shift points try shifting between 5.5K and 6K and see where the car feels faster. :talon:
How are the cars being launched? Are they being powerbraked at the line atempting to build boost? For the person that had the spark plugs gap at .50 please regap the plugs between .28 threw .32. One more thing check if you can advance slightly your cam angle sensor. This does wonders on on...
Why dont you cheak it yourself instead of taking the car to the headshop? Its easy just pull off your exhaust manifold and if any of the ports look wet then you know its leaking oil threw the valve seals. My car had the same problem a while ago. :talon:
11-12 sounds about right for HKS 272's, thats what i get at idle. As for your compression that doesn't sound right. One my car have 8:5 compression and also a four layer head gasket and it blew 180 across all four. :talon:
How come every time cams get mentioned people always state that HKS 272 are very lopey and have idle problems? I have heard acouple of different cars including my own car with these cams, and guess what no idle problems and not as lopey as people make them sound. :talon:
Come on bro you got to be kidding me. That car is rigged to the extreme you have zip ties holding your intercooler and you are putting garden equipment as a front lip.
seems alittle slow, my talon when i first got it on stock boost it would beat mildly moded integra gsr's. Now i have some questions for you hows your driving, and is it 5sp or auto?
For all the guys complaining about "streetable" dsm with hks 272's. I honestly dont think that you guys have ever driven or been in a dsm with 272's. I myself have a daily driven dsm with Hks 272's and theres nothing to complain about it. I see no point in having to buy cams twice just go...
Oh, i forgot it is possible that you do have a 16g turbo. There were a special edition galant VR4's made in japan that came with i believe it was a S16g, these also had yellow fuel injectors which are 510's or 550's. So if you still have that engine go ahead and use the injectors to. Hope...
A cyclone motor is not from an evo. There is no such thing as a cyclone motor, people call it a cyclone motor because it says cyclone on the intake manifold, and it has a red valve cover. These so called cyclone motors come out a JDM galant VR4. Real evo 1-3 motors have a titanium like color...
