I bouught a punishment racing fmic kit for my 1g. After taking everything off i found that the lines for the tranny cooler are in the way. If I remove the cooler, will it cause problems for a daily driven car that never seems more than 10-12 psi?

Bought a Tial bov that now stays open at idle. Is this a problem that a stiffer spring can fix or would adjusting the BISS screw and TPS be the solution? I'll have to check later on, but I want to say that my idle is around -11hg. Also, running the 7psi spring in the bov.

Will setting the TPS and BISS screw propperly help with the open bov at idle?

He's obviously immature. But if it bothers you that much that he talks crap about your hobby, find a different hobby.

Make sure you correctly bled the clutch. Also, did you re-surface/replace the flywheel? I had the same issue going from one 2100 to another. A new flywheel fixed it.

Ya 0 compression. I felt for air leakig past the tester in that spark plug well but didn't feel anything.Just ordered a new evo 16g so I guess we'll find out soon if it is the turbo or not.

So she started smoking quite a bit the other day under boost. Figured blown turbo since it's a fake eVo 3 16g and the seals were aready going. But when I did a compression test I got 110-120-120-0. I checked cyl 3 to make sure the tester was still working and it was. Oil does look a little light...

Blower motor might be out. In the winter time try not to use your e-brake. What's happening is your brake pads are heating up when you drive and freezing to the rotors when you stop and apply the e-brake. Hence why they free up after some driving around. Don't know if there is a blower motor...

Check all connections. Pull off things like injector clips and re-connect them. You probably knocked something lose.

Possibly a bad injector/injector connection. Try moving the injectors around and see if that helps.

If the car had been sitting for a while you might have an old fuel issue. I just had an issue with year old E85 solidifying on my 1600s. I took it to Jack's Transmissions, they ran solvent through them and ta-da, she started right up. So, I would say go buy a bottle of Seafoam and dip the tip...

+1 to all that.If the car has sat for a while, put some Seafoam in the tank to help clean things out. Injectors might be a little plugged.

Those coolant temp wires are important. I poorly spliced mine together when doing a 1g head swap and it turns out that that's how the ecu determines how much fuel to inject on startup. When those wires are broken, the ecu assumes that the motor is below X degree and dumps fuel into the motor...

For a few months my gauge and knob lights have been dimming off and on. Today on my way to work they cut out. My turn signal lights, CEL light ect are still working. Is there a relay that might be affecting this?

Put on a 60-1 in May of 08. Lifted the head a few days after. Moved from Cali to Colorado that June. Replaced the head gasket and added some more components for E85 in Nov of 08. Grenaded the 3rd gear and front diff later that month. Need a driveshaft and some welding work to get it running.

I thought my rebuilt tranny was leaking but it turned out that one of the axles wasn't completley seated.

Already did that. My main problem isn't the torn boot, it's the part of the boot that is still frozen to the plug/head.

Tore the boot trying to pull the wire out.

So somehow condesation got around my spark plug boot and froze it to the spark plug/head. What I was wondering was if it would be safe to put something like windschield washer fluid in there to break up the ice.

Display MAFRaw and adjust in that hz range. I havn't looked at logs in so long that I don't remember if the Gm 3 bar raises or lowers with + or - changes.

Looking around Colorado Springs, Denver or Pueblo for a 2g driveshaft with good carrier bearings.
