    Yea, i had the exact same problem. You just have to fix the clip, it took me about 2 min to fix the problem once I had found it.

    If there are no leaks underneath and you are adding oil, you are burning oil. But it sounds like you are still in alrigt shape, me and a couple other people I know with dsms add a quart every week.

    But would a a transmission from a different year of 1st gen, (ie: 91) bolt up in my 90? Or would i need a new transfer case?

    Yes you will be losing power. If you are buying new, I would recommend the evo because it is only a couple $ more, but if you are looking on dsmtrader, the 2g will be a lot easier to find.

    thermostat fixed the same problem for me. It was an easy fix. It happened again later, and a rad flush solved it.

    Hey, i was just replacing my rear pads, and i cannot collapse the caliper. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and what they did to fix it. Has the caliper siezed? or am i missing something?

  17. Axle Bolts Help!!!!

    I had to heat and bounce on mine about 4 times before it came loose... the nut was so rusted and corroded, it had almost disinigrated by the end.

    I would expect the 6 to spool faster, because of more pulses.

    Yea, I am also interested in any information. I think TRE will sell parts, but I am not for sure on this because they do say that they will only do installs in a lot of different sections.

    Ok, Removing the lower honey comb allows 2-3 more psi to pass through. And rewireing the fulepump allows it to supply more fuel so that you can boost higher without buying a more powerful fuel pump.

    Check your linkage, i had the same problem in my 90' There is a little pin right before it enters the transmission, i just shoved a screw into it and it made everything better.

    I taped a golfball to it once when i was bored and sitting around, it worked well, but as stated above, venting is bad.

    Yea, i got the same problem. Im replacing my 1st and 2nd gears because they are both grinding and also getting TRE double syncros. You should be able to get syncros at nearly any parts dealer.

    Yea i usually shift around 6.5 k because thats when I feel the power start to go.
  43. ACT 2600 w/ stock car?

    I am close to stock aswell and am probably going to go with the ACT 2600. I think the main difference is mainly the pedal feel and the price.

    I think it is probably your syncros. But changing the fluids should help.

    mmmmm Fluid should help. I get that sound too after my car has warmed up sometimes, but not always.

    Yea i have the same problem. I actually fixed a lot of it by tightening some ends in the linkage. It made the shift a lot more stiff with less play, but i still need to replace the syncros and my cluctch needs a replacement. BTW are there such things as transmission rebuild kits?

  48. AEM stand alone

    Ive done quite a bit of research one the AEM EMS and it looks like a miniture god to me, I plan on getting one next summer once I get some other major mods done. Go to the AEM EMS forum, there is lots of positive feedback there from others, as well as a lot of trouble shooting.
  49. what octane gas do you run?

    All turbo charged cars are supposed to run a minimum of 93 octane, but you could probably get away with 89 - 91 in the winter without too much knock.
