Nice work! Plan on tackling this within the next three months myself. I m considering one of these for space concerns:EDIT: I was linking to their quad gauges....If the RPM one went higher I would do it as well.
I ve had them leak, especially after re-use, so I put a light coat of silicone on it. If you don't want to feel free, but no harm is going to come from it.
MAP/Magnus are probably the same as the materials look identical. As long as they did nothing like physically make the gasket wrong I m sure it won't matter. I tend to be a fan of Magnus so I d lean towards him, but keep in mind he is in Canada so you may have more expensive shipping; Extremepsi...
They work together just fine. I have them both on my car. I will say it is a pita though as far as fitment. Just tight areas. A lift make it a lot easier or going in from the bottom for certain things.
Glad to see you got the car up and going! Sorry I did not get back to you on the SD tune, but I would've been of little help. The new auto seems to be working out for you.
Alright guys we need your help! The Showdown is coming up and it is really tough to keep up with all the forums out there. Can you please copy and paste this segment to any forum you are on and try to spread the word. If you get a chance bump any adds you run across on the websites to get the...
You really don't need 32 gigs of RAM.12 gigs is more than enough unless you're doing some serious editing. As far as a fast cpu goes, well they can be over kill as well. The 920 maybe 4 years old, but she never gets stressed by games. Most video games are heavily gpu intensive and the CPU us...
Email from clutch net. This was a inquiry about a 6 puck unsprung. The disc thickness in 0.315"-0.320".If it goes under 0.305" its time to replace it.The size of the button is 3.027" wide and 1.270" high.
Your response is normal. If they didn't fail at communicating you would not be so upset. Protect yourself and follow your dispute policies closely so that you're protected. He may be busy, but that is no excuse to make yourself vulnerable or to not send parts you may have paid for.I hope this...
New parts can be installed improperly, which is why I suggest you go over everything and document it. If you wanted a transmission with less stock parts you should've ponied up for the Dogbox from the start. No matter who builds these transmissions they are still susceptible to having stock...
Not to split hairs, but that is the sales pitch for the Stg.4 not 1,2, or 3. Not to say John and his crew are infallible, but it is far more likely the vehicle has something that is being overlooked and causing the issue. It would be best to make a check list with the collective minds that are...
I had a lot of issues with engagement and clutch drag (not at idle) but at higher RPMs. I was using a ACT 2600 and a street disc. Eventually I got it dialed in, but I still hated that clutches pressure feel and changed it out. I don't take mine to 10k as that is just silly especially for a car...
Dropping 100lbs. Is negligible when measured against the underwhelming use of per potential you already have. Plenty of small BBQ turbos exist that make great power and spool.
It is FAR easier on a lift with a trans jack. I did almost all of mine on the ground and wish I d of waited for a lift. It could be done in a day or two. You need access to a welder, plasma torch or cut off wheel. Be prepared for bolts to stick and break. I drove the Gsx-Spyder today for a 100...
Just pick up link. Stock headgaskets and bolts will be fine for 300whp. You can control boost through dsmlink if you spend $45 on the controller they sell. That will be cheaper than most MBCs and it will be controlled by gear, inside the car.Go ahead and do a timing belt, fix your oil leaks...
I have a stock 6 bolt flywheel that needs resurfacing. I think it costs about $25 to ship it. You can have it if that is holding you back. I d rock the Fidanza unless Tim just states outright not to use it. Just keep in mind not to hot lap the little bugger. You might be able to score a used ACT...
From what I recall was that the Fidanza aluminum flywheels heat up so quickly and require a lot of downtime in between passes. I believe Tim highly recommends not using it, but it is for that reason. To many people get it and don't allow enough time in between passes to let the flywheel cool...
I love seeing these cars saved and fall into hands that can truly take care of them. In your case the hands just needed to grow up :)Good luck with the build. I am excited to see how it develops and what details you pay attention to while restoring the car.
While I agree a quality 8 can put out good bass, the hump was just a suggestion and not necessary even with my 10. Removing it just makes the trunk functional.
Once you get the bolts threaded like the above poster said just take a cheap 12pt. wrench and cut part of it off as if to make an open end. Now you have an open ended 12pt. style wrench that can work with the ARP bolts while not going all the way around and causing clearance issues.P.S. I had...
This or a ACT2100 is plenty for you. A 2600 is overkill for what you're car is making and the 2100 would offer a much lighter pedal pressure in comparison.I do recommend the SBC clutches. Tim at TMZ Performance carries them and he is an excellent vendor. Good luck.
