Im guessing it'll be fine.Same thing happened to me when i swapped my engines...but it didn't completely stop. There was also another time when my balance shafts seized and the car ran with no oil pressure for 5 seconds and came to a stop. When we removed the shafts, the engine was fine...
Hey guys,I picked up a Blitz Electronic Scramble boost controller for hella cheap. The thing is though, that it didn't come with any instructions and i can't seem to find any on the web considering this is a JDM item.On the solenoid, there are two hoses. One labeled in and one labled...
Just like the title says....im looking for someone to paint my bumpers and fenders basicly. Does anyone know of a place or a guy in the chicago area that does good work for cheap?
yup, they're the same head. 90 to 94 are all the same...turbo or non turbo. Just make sure you switch out the camsI would check out those rod bearings and if they look ok, bolt the head on.
get that head checked and cleaned if you can and find another exhaust manifold or port the one you have now. While your at it, it'd be a good time to change your timing accessories and water pump if needed.I take it your going with arp headstuds and an mls headgasket too?
you NEED a fpr with a 255.If your looking for cheap fpr/gauge, i bought one of the ebay ones for like $50 shipped. Its worked fine for me for over a year now. I just upgraded the lines and used teflon tape and such....this is the key to get it working good and making it reliable.
Staining is not good...If your not sure, you should have it checked out just to be on the safe side. I'm sure you would rather have it fixed now, then later when its put together
the head will be fine to tap for a gauge...and any cheapo mech. gauge will do.you know though...since your oil light isn't coming on, it might just be the sender and wires thats causing your gauge to read 0....but get that oil guage on the head to make sure.if its NOT that....and...
First off, don't start the car till your positive you have oil pressure....you don't want to take any risk in damaging your engine. You can buy a cheap gauge at any parts store and easily connect it to the head, which is what i reccomend to get accurate oil pressure readings.I had a similar...
oh no, xs power turbo OMGI hope that turbo works ok for you. I have heard nothing but bad stories from them. Search Theres pleanty of threadsBut, we'll just have to see.
oooo, nice.I used to have the exact same ones....on my civic hatch though.Good choice! They're definately top quality.Make sure you get some decent rubber and don't cheap out. What size are they? Width? 7.5?...dare i say 8?
Yes, take it to the machine shop. They'll easily be able to clean it up for you and tell you if the head is warped or needs new seals, etc. It's definately a good idea anytime the head is taken off.
Yes, the spark plugs were changed after the oil was cleaned out. There is NO oil leaking from the valve cover gasket ...AT all. I'm using a brand new valve cover with no cracks and brand new gasketsThere is oil in all 4 combustion chamers. Its not enough to shoot out the exhaust, but its...
There were no problems with the original headgasket. It was a fully rebuilt motor with 10000 miles on it. When I bough it, I figured i'd switch out the headgasket to a mitsubishi metal one and change the oem headstuds to ARP's.Me and my buddy changed them. We torqued the headstuds to...
Crap! A few miles after i changed my headgasket the car started bucking and having idle problems Then i got a cel for a misfire. The car still pulls like crazy....So, I figured it was about time for a sparkplug change. When i went to go change them, I noticed that i had oil on all 4...
I've actually been going for the no decal, clean look (aside from the tuners decal that is)....but i figure it might be kinda cool to have maybe a turbo decal like that "turbo inside" one or maybe the "objects in mirror are losing" one or even an AWD related one. I don't know. What do you...
Hi guys,I just picked up some powerslot caliper brackets from a DSM, but the thing is I don't know what model they're from or if they were on a 1G or 2G.I do know that there is a differnce in the rotor sizes between the gst and gsx kits, but are the brackets different?-Any info...
I drove from Gurnee, IL to Caledonia, MI....there and back at least 4 times! Its a 240 mile, 4 hour drive ONEway! The first time I went to check it out and put a small deposit to secure the car. Then the second time was to pay more money towards it....and check the car out again. :)...
I bought one of the $35 fpr's from ebay. It's been a little over 7 months with no problems now.I'd recommend it for those on a budget, but if you could get better than do so.Just make sure everything is secure and there are NO LEAKS.
Haha, same thing happened to me....And i went to napa, autozone and pepboys...They all use the same company. It took me 2 weeks to figure out they had the sides mixed up.
Well...i messed with it enough to get the bracket within 2-3 tenths of the holes on the block. I ended up just widening the holes in the bracket a little. Hopefully this doesn't cause me much of a problem....i pray.
