Let's see if I can get some pictures going in here! I've had the headlight covers off of the car for probably close to 7 years now. I decided to make a change! I made some quick tabs out of aluminium riveted them to the hood and then attached them to the covers. Then covered the seam with...
Alright let me bring this thing up to speed.I switched this thing over to an auto a couple years back. I didn't get much time to work things out before receiving orders for recruiting duty. While I was out on recruiting duty I hit the track one time in 3 years.Recently I pulled it out of...
I ran across this while building my transmission. I found that either my rear or front clutch discs were not fully seated. You need to assemble the kickdown drum, front clutch, rear clutch at the same time then slide it into the trans. This ensures that both sets of clutch discs are on...
Well it broke 1st gear at the shootout. Got it fixed made one more pass and it shot a brush out of the Weldon fuel pump.I bought an auto setup the day it broke..HahaAfter the last pass I went down to kigglys tent and bam! I'm officially sponsored by kiggly racing!!I think that...
Yes I filled the block but set it up so I can still use the OEM pump :)Ok quick update. I've posted most of this on facebook and talk.10 lbs per side:I know she's not the prettiest. She may not be built like everyone else builds their cars and does their tubes. The...
Looks really good! For mock up of some parts / wiring I just tossed in an empty block, head, empty trans case and tcase. Made it easy and it wasn't a pain to put it all in there just for a mock up.
Right rear kicked out tagged the wall and sent me sliding passanger door first down the track. At about 110mph..I was in the right lane and hit the wall on the left side. Not exactly sure what happened.
Yeah sucks... Oh well. Cutting the front off today. It still runs so as long as the engine mounting locations are not bent then it will be easy to fix.
I'm waiting to be charged for the bearings that are out of stock nationally. LOLI have a list and priced them, along with seals. If you talk to liberty they will tell you their prices up front. About $400. That is maching the 300m shaft and tail housing.Count in 4 bearings, 2 seals...
Wigger is still waiting on his from Devo. Sent it around the same time I did but I think their delay is receiving the shafts back.My delay is waiting on the shop to put in some work on customer stuff. Would be nice to attend some races this year and actually take my car.The crappy...
Sorry I missed your question.Depends on what you get done. I had good gears/shafts it only cost me about $900 for their work.I STILL had to build it. New bearings, bushings, seals, shims should all be done as well.
Same exact stuff Dogbox racing was doing. I have never stripped a gear or broke teeth or anything even at full weight. 600ftlbs torque and the gears hold fine. No stress cracks or wear shown.
Machine shop finally finished with everything on Friday so I got busy. Not too bad for 2 days of work.I need to put some things on order but the main thing keeping me down right now is the oil pan. I had to order a new one and it wont be here until the 9th. Also waiting on...
Ah ok. Surprisingly I'm still on the same engbldr valves that were from the head Mike did. They are still kicking strong!Let me know if you figure out what happened to the valve!
What head? The one I currently use has +1mm valves and casting marks removed from exhaust and intake ports. Nothing crazy.I had a head that MAD Mike built for me that worked pretty good but I unfortunately melted that one.
Ha..... They are probably one of the best shops in NC so they are packed with stuff. I was told 3 week min. I'm on week 2 now. I haven't even heard pricing or what all needs done yet.We went over the complete setup and wrote down what I wanted accomplished.Balanced from balancer to...
No, I wish I did. I'm not a fab guy so hopefully someone finishes up theirs soon!Had my new gauges come in. Finally wired everything up and tested them. Seems like my switches, gauges, and relay/fuse box is working good.
I do but I've been trying to sell them. Sucks though because most dsmers are cheap and don't want to spend money on them. So they will probably lay in the garage.
Finally Happened!Spark Tech came through. Sponsoring me with a new setup, Minus my CDI box which is good still. This thing should be running near the end of may, Hopefully.... :ermm:
Ok small update. All of the parts are here for the engine. Waiting on the pistons to return from being coated. They were done by Tirado Custom Coatings (TCC)Mirror delete plates were powder coated by Justin's Powder coating. That's all for now ;)
I've always watched out for Miller & Palo, then saw this car on youtube the other day wondering who the hell they are...They sure are flying and I'm looking forward to them busting it into the 7's!
