so i took my car up the block a day ago and was reving it up to about 4000-5000 rpm when i was driving then the car would start jerking really really badly like it would slow down and accerate very fast but like over and over. i dont know if its my gas. i think it becuase my gas is over 2...
chances are you will experience fuel cut once you get the larger exhaust with a higher flowing turbo. A GM mas or second gen mas will fix this problem.
It could something other than pistons, it could be a headgasket too. In any case id rather fix the problem instead of getting another car because if you get another dsm it might have the same problems from being old. Try replacing the timing belt, piston rings, and headgasket. those would be...
ill make some 3.5" downpipes BUT, it will have a 3.5" outlet, with my very own custom flanges on there (cnc cut) so you guys will have to figure it out from there, unless u really want a full 3.5" exhaust i guess ill make it all
thats ghetto, you can order 4" stainless steel piping. i dunno about a muffler tho, i wouldnt wanna cramp an expander in one until its 1" bigger inside.
If i were you, i would get stainless valves, shot peen springs, titanium retainers, crower cams, and fidanza cam gears. I ported my own cylinder head on my cnc machine but not everyone has that kind of equipment. anyways if you want 500whp you better have head work. dont cheap out when your...
sounds wrong to have any source of vacuum going to the wastegate at all, it should be a vacuum line coming off the J pipe on your turbos compressor, to the manual boost controller, then into the wastegate aculator. nothing to do with vacuum.
i would suggest a dyno tune,,, im not sure if you have THAT much money left over to work with or not through, otherwise youll have to just play around with fuel until its all good.
its kinda a pain to tkae the head off for first time... if you want to take it off with the intake manifold still on.. make sure u take off your downpipe and unbolt the intake manifold from block under neith. thats what i did to get mine off.
for me it was simple, because i have all the equipment on hand, welder, drill press, band saw, mill, and have all sorts of stock laying around for my products.
for mine to fit i had to first cut off the center peice thats supposed to go between 92-94 headlights. then remove the metal bumper and make custom supports...
usually i eat rice when i goto a chinese resturaunt... theres a good place down the road from me thats got a sweet buffet of stuff. Rice for cars.... no one really knows what exactly that is anymore! i guess i would say its a crappy car thats slow with a loud muffler, big wing, and some APC...
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=101695Whats in this post then? looks like the GM MAS between the pipes... i dunno maybe it isnt.
Ok... so im lookin at the GM MAS translator but i hear good and bad about it... what am i to do? i want to buy it from dsmparts.com so its a good place to buy one but are they good? most i hear is there a pain in ass to tune... but i suppose i can puts with it for awhile... as long as its not...
Ok so ive torn up to stock crank pulleys in about the past 5 months... i talked to a local perforamnce shop and they said that the engine is most likely outta balance and if i put on a solid underdrive pulley its gonna F up on me.... do you guys think this is true? or its just the fact the the...
Also.. if anyone is looking at my profile like ND obviously was... keep in mind that was my 2nd DSM... the one on my site is my 3rd DSM. I have not updated my profile in months. that soulds like a good idea with the pegs.
Well ND.. all i can say if you dont have to be some jealous prick because i can already make parts 100x better than you ever will and younger than you. and what makes you say i have no automotive knowlage? how do you put on ur fiberglass bumpers? double sided tape? hahahahah im not impressed...
This post was not made for people to flame each other.. i know what im doing and thats what matters..... no need to question me or other peoples intellegence. Lets keep it on track of the intake manifold.
there will be aluminum tubes welded to the intake manifold flange to start sticking out about 1" then the carbon fiber will be molded around these tubes complete.. the tubes will be tapered so that the carbon fiber does not simply slip off the tubes under pressure, there will be a thick coat of...
What do you mean vacuum and boost leak nightmare? Carbon fiber in its raw state (how it arrives to my shop) would yes be a nightware in that sence.. but once applying resin, several layers of carbonfiber, THEN a gel coat over all of it to give it a smooth look (gel coats are thick) it will be...
I searched a little bit for em but was unable to find any in the gallery. anyways this one will not be a one of a kind custom.. i will be makin a quite a few depending on demand for them. Prices will be around $600? not sure exactly on a price yet here.
it will look somewhat like the honda manifolds... for obvious reasons of them both being intake manifolds. yes i have worked with this material before so it is not a new concept to me or my company. Its similar to Fiberglass sheets only more expencive and better looking and of course stronger.
This thread is not to advertise my product.. simply because it does not exsist yet. BUT i would like to know peoples thoughts on my soon to be releasing Carbon Fiber Intake manifold for the 4g63 engine. It is constructed of aluminum flanges, and REAL carbon fiber runners and collector. It...
well szewczyd im glad u remember so much to bad u forgot the main parts of me not doing the body work. tsk tsk. whats wrong with workin out of ur garage??? Gotta start somewhere... lots of companys start this way.... to bad you wouldnt know seeing you work at a retirement home painting walls...
hahahahah, na ive acually had people say that before in the past... that isnt the orginially meaning what i had in mind but i guess everyone thinks sum different.... and taking advantage of people is a bad thought of the name.... i had the name change in mind for about a month now, but just...
heres the answers to the questions...1)what year/gen of J-body are we referring to? I will assume 3rd gen (95-02) yes the 3rd generation style2)how were you able to get a J-body in the 12's (supercharger,NOS, Turbo,NA). I'm not saying it can't be done... but i'm willing to bet there are...
