Stock will be anywhere from 11-14 psi... You can probably run the T25 reliably up to 16 psi... any more than that and the air wil be heating up so much it won't be worth the extra boost and your turbo won't last long... To be safe, I'd stay at 15...
You forgot a few crucial things.. you need the entire wiring harness... plus the turbo engines had oil squirters internally in the engine to keep the pistons cooler... otherwise everything was right on... a weekend mechanic is going to do this easily though... I'm not sure about the transmission...
Mitsu recommends a 30k checkup... it's like $600 and they change some ignition things, replace throttle body gaskets, change transaxle fluid, etc... You may want to simply call a Mitsu dealer and ask what they do for the 30K checkup...
Tranny is not the same... you will need that as well.. it will bolt up, but it won't work... you will need the instrument cluster, it's not an option.... all the plumbing... and hopefully you are very mechanically inclined... this will definitely not be easy... older AWDs are pretty inexpensive...
90-94 motors were not 6 bolt motors... As someome said above, only 90-92 were 6 bolt, they switched over to 7 bolt for the 93 and above models... however, to answer your original question, yes, that setup will work fine...
You will never have the potential of the turbo cars with a turbo kit on the non-turbos, and you will spend a hell of a lot of money to simply get to their level...BTW, any 7 bolt DSM can get crankwalk, 93 and higher. It's just that the 2Gs had a crank angle sensor that was chewed up and...
I have a 93 non-turbo 2.0 engine lying around...I also have a 96 Talon TSi. At some time I'd like to go to the larger 1G heads. I've looked at vfaqs.com and can't find for sure if the turbo and non-turbo heads are the same. I had heard they were and that even only one cam was different...
I looked down this road for quite awhile and decided to just get a turbo car, there is a ton of stuff you'd need.If you really want to do it though, I suggest you read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. It is an awesome book and will give you all of the insight you need in to actually making the...

I just read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. What an amazing book! Learned a ton. It has everything you'd ever need to know, plus examples of several projects. Pretty amazing even if you are a guru already. It can be found at the link below if you are interested in it...

The ECU needs to definitely be changed... your ECU supports saturation fuel injectors, the turbo engine has peak and hold injectors, they will eventually fry... with the ECU you are going to need all the wiring harnesses from in the car... as well as the instrument cluster...I hope you...

No, there isn't... but if you have loads of money and lots of mechanical ingenuity, read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell...http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0837601606/teamvipmessagebo
To change the engine as you suggest, you also need the ECU and all the wiring harnesses from a turbo car, plus all the miscellaneous piping, the tranny, probably motor mounts and tons of miscellaneous other things... definitely not worth your time...
Basically on the 1Gs there are no turbo kits for any of the non-turbo cars and it would be absolutely a nightmare to try and make one work... I've been down that road and looked at every single part I would need... then I bought a TSi AWD...
Read some of the other posts... seems everyone has asked this question... there is way too much involved to make it even remotely reliable or feasible...
Could it be possible the 95 didn't have the LSD rear differential and the 98 does? Here is a test, drive the 98 in a tight circle, if the tires bark it has the limited slip rear end.... Much harder to get all the tires to spin, but much better for traction...
Been down that road, buy the different car... $3000 probably wouldn't even do the swap for you and you can find an early 1G for less than that.. Even if you could do it, now your brakes, transmission, drivetrain, all of that stuff is gonig to be inadequate... the conversion will end up costing...
