1st, I know this thread is over 15yrs old.
2nd, since it’s revived and we’re talking rear diff’s with LSD’s I have a couple of questions. What is the best way to convert my open rear diff GSX to have a Limited Slip Rear Differential for road racing track days?Do I need the entire LSD...
I know the roof trim has been out of production for a minute.
I’m talking about the seal the door glass and door seals against.
The sunroof seal and hatch seal too.
Is the 1st pic of your girdle?
There should only be 1 main bearing on the girdle, 1 main bearing on the block and 2 thrust washer half moons on both sides of the block center bearing and no thrust washers on the girdle, only a main bearing.
If you’re running forged 2618 aluminum pistons, I’d remove and weld the tips of the oil squirters and reinstall them, or buy new ones from extreme psi.Look, the crankshafts in 2g’s are throw aways.
They’re supposedly not nitrided from mitsu so the thrust surfaces are not as hard as they should...
And for the record I didn’t recommend the 1.25 A/R housing.
I literally copied text from the description of the S476SX-E that stated the above mentioned A/R recommendation for boost pressures greater than 30psi.Here’s more info.
Turbo Charger A/R Ratio Sizing How To...
It is recommended that you run the TS T4 1.25 A/R housing for anything over 30psi of boost.
S476SX-E - 76mm Enhanced S400SX-E
https://www.full-race.com/store/garage-sale/borgwarner-s400sx-76mm-1-10-a-r-t4-turbo/Maybe mate this beast to a Morrison Fab TS T4 top mount!!
I have plans to push a 78lb/min capable turbo thru a ported Evo III throttle body and ported Evo III intake manifold.
Hopefully by spring of 2020 I'll have some sharable results.
Riding the dunes and camping with family and friends is something I really enjoy and need regularly.
I’ve been going to the Pismo Dunes with family since it 1982, just before they reduced it from 15,000 acres to 1,500 acres.
Been riding my own ride since 1992 on a Suzuki LT250R Quadracer.

Awesome response!!
I wonder if this wheel https://www.dieselsite.com/wickedwheel1998-2002cummins-1.aspx in a 12cm² or 14cm² housing would help keep boost from tapering off?Very impressive!!
I’m excited to hear about your experiences with the Morrison Fab DSM TS T3 manifold.
Has anyone found the 12cm^2 housing too small to hold boost out to their target rpm?
I’d really like to see a dyno plot w/boost curve for the guy above that achieved 35psi by 3,900rpm, that’s awesome!
I’m...
Interesting, I’m curious about your need for this.
I’m about to delete my A/C but need heat for defrost and heat on the floor.
I haven’t searched yet, but are there any write ups on how to do this?
Yes part # 1211A160 is the same for both the 2g GS Spyder and the 2g turbos.
There's always these options too, but I'd run new OEM. https://www.extremepsi.com/store/Oil-Pumps/
I get it, believe me.I've been on these forums and playing with these cars for almost 15 yrs and I'm finally at a point in my life where I'll be able to afford a complete high power build, sad I know, but it is what it is...I look at it this way, the oil pump is literally the heart of any...
Exactly! How’s this for adding to the discussion?

I agree with both of you about EvoM, but this place is sooo dead that EvoM is a great source of info.
Then run a .63 A/R single scroll T4 and be done with it.
I’ve read divided T3 and 35R turbine wheels do not work well together.
If a divided T3 1.32 A/R existed for the 35R, then maybe they’d do as well as the 30R turbine in a divided T3 housing.
I’d sell the open T4 manifold and get a .82 A/R 35R TiAL turbine housing and run a Morrison Fab v-band manifold and rip it!Curt Brown laid down over 800whp with a HTA3586 in normal T3 .82 A/R setup.
The consensus is stroker motors decrease spool rpm. Twin scroll turbine housings also decrease spool rpm. Here’s a post by @twicks69 hitting 30psi by ~3,700rpm and running out to ~8,600rpm with a 0.95 A/R twin scroll T4 GT4088R and 2.3L.
I find this ~5,000rpm powerband absolutely amazing and I...
Yeah, did @keltalon run completely stock fuel feed system lines from pump to rail and then an AFPR on the return?
Is the -6AN from pump to rail now or just from OE filter to rail? And what pump is he now running the Wally 450HP?
Any input is grately appreciated.
I had a Seibon Evo Hood on my late 2G.
It came with a vent cover/rain guard.
Not sure if it’ll fit your 1g hood, but you can have it if you want to pay for packaging/shipping.
I never got around to it as I mentioned above.
I’m eyeing the EFR8474, but it’ll probably be close to a $2,500+ turbo.
I’ll probably end up running the BorgWarner S362SX-E.
It's all good Kevin!
We appreciate your sacrifices! The WOW, WUUUTTT IS THAT?, statement was pertaining to the baller status intake manifold and throttle body...
I've never ran timing covers on either of my dsms and I've put over 100k miles on two engines commuting on back country roads that are chip sealed with a fresh coat of tar and then they pour pea gravel over it and allow traffic to essentially steam roll it.
Serious pucker moment the first time...
On EvoM a stk block Evo X was having part throttle fluttering at 4K rpm doing 80mph. He blocked off the internal bypass valve and problem solved, however, he has slightly less transient response now.

Well sh¡t!!
I’ll rock a S362SX-E then.
However, I’m ultra curious about the EFR8474 as well!
Have you seen the new comp map for the new compressor?
Inducer is now > 67mm up 5mm from 62mm.
LOL, boostin performance race shafts are a $225 gimmick. I wonder how many people don’t spend the extra $21 on an absolutely necessary new bearing too.
https://shop.boostinperformance.com/product-p/bp-racebal-4g63.htmIt’s been said before and I’ll say it again, spinning your motor to 10krpms...
