my compression test just confused me, if i turned her over w/o pushing down the gas peddle she would score almost perfect (160-170) across the board.. but #1 would drop to 140-150 if i opened up the throttle..Any reason for this?

well if i got ahold of 50 cans of brake cleaner and went nuts on it... then welded it. do you think that would hold ok? im assuming the bell is a part on its own, replaceable with out damaging the tranny then?

I think going with the ev0316g+ the evo3 mani would be a nice combo, there allready made for eachother. Unless you are going to port out the turbo.. even then i would think going with the evo mani would still net the best match up. JMHO sounds like fun any witch way you dice it. :thumb:

do you have a boost guage? any recent mods? could be running rich/intake leak or any thing. does it start pulling like mad after that?

I just had this same problem... but i aproached it all wrong.. Bought a new temp sensor, swapped fulepressure regulators, was about to tear the fuel system apart... then.. just now i was staring at it in the dark with a flashlight and noticed that one of the wires from the little harness...

I wish thats all it was, i bought one, hooked it up and got nothing diffrent. I have another gst that im gona try swaping ECUs to see if it has any affect.

I have the same problem, but after 5-7 mins of tagging it or cranking it will finaly start firing and start. I didnt want to start another thread about cold starts so im reserecting this one. Any ideas? :laser:

I just finished a turbo swap (dead 14b for a decent 14b) and after i finished fashioning a gasget for the lower oil return line i was taking it out for a drive and the oil pressure (stock guage) just dropped to nothing. The car still drove fine and there was no lifter tick or any other sign...
