I never use synthetic it causes more leaks than a salad strainer in a dishwasher.

3 inch stainless steel band clamps. It will never leak or give you problems again. Torque them to 60 ft/lbs. 18 wheeler stores sell them about 8 bucks a piece. I made a removeable test pipe with mine :D

Do not use the gasket with rtv it makes for more problems down the road than just rtv.Ive built and rebuilt several of these motors and for longevity rtv is the best and only gasket that should be used on the oil pan.

Just a heads up, the only "oil pan gasket" you should be using is rtv, just like it was from the factory. The paper gaskets in the kit DO NOT WORK AT ALL. Just thought Id share that "loving message" with you, carry on. :thumb:

Its a fusible link in one of the underhood fuse boxes. 80 amps if I remember correctly.

It looks like youve reached that point so pull it and get a new one they arent that expensive. Remove the glove box and you can get the core out pretty easy.

Have you pulled the heater core to see if anything is blocking the flow of coolant?Are there any leaves or debris blocking the flow of air through the heater core?

When my ecu took a dump on me recently I had the exact same issues you are having.

I have had to train myself to ignore a majority of the noises on these motors. One thing I hate hearing is things that sound like metal hitting together. Lifter tick on these motors is normal but can be solved. Some of the time you have to accept it because its just like a dog chasing his tail.

Tap it with a 10x 1.25mm and plug it with a bolt of the same size. Reroute your oil feed from the oil filter housing as mentioned before.
