I built these for my Talon but since I scraped/parted it out and don't plan on buying another (at least for the for seeable future) I'm selling them.Prices are USD and shipping is extra - I'm open to offers so PM me.LED Bumper Markers/Turn Signals (sequential) - $200These have a custom...
^Glad to hear!Sadly I've pulled the plug on this project and DSMs in general for a while.
I found some really really bad frame rot and I've decided to part the car out (things have and will be posted on the classifieds). I will be keeping some items (mainly my LED and wiring stuff) but the...
I've been frigging around in EagleCAD for the past couple days to finish up my power supply boards once and for all. I'm happy to say that they are finally done and sent off for manufacturing through OSHPark.
Turn Signal and Name plate boards (2 Vregs on each).
TopBottomBrake Light power...
Pretty much the last part I need to install to complete my MR2 EHPS swap is mounting the steering sensor on to the steering shaft.
I know I will have to pull the shaft and disassemble it to install the sensor but how have people mounted up the sensor?
If using Paypal, use a Visa too for extra protection (if Paypal won't rule in your favor then you can go to your Credit Card company). That said, I have many used parts on my car (HKS cams, Fuel Regulator, BOV, HKS Exhaust, most of my AEM gauges, etc). Just do some research on what you are...
I sent an email and called in July to buy some parts, still waiting.Sad because I enjoyed dealing with Ziggy.
I've already taken my business elsewhere.
I've gone ahead and ordered some sequencers from Ghozt Lighting, while they don't offer everything I want (Bluetooth, multiple show sequences, etc) but it will allow me to finish this project.
https://www.ghoztlighting.com/product/ledsequencer/Once I get it here, I'll start experimenting with...
I wanted something OEM but I needed minimal down time since they were going in my daily driver (Fiesta headlights are stupid expensive so I took a risk and didn't get spares). There's some good info over on HIDPlanet for tweaking the older MH1s.
I've designed and built custom LED boards for all the tail light housings including lighting up the center section.http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/farewell-incandescent-lighting-96-talon-tsi-awd-led-conversion.384280/I've still got to finish the microcontrollers that actually run everything.
Even the generic Mini H1s aren't that bad. TRS sells them at a cheaper price point but they will need to be tuned and tweaked to get the best possible cut off (this was even needed with the older ones TRS sold but not the 7.0). However if it's your first time doing a projector retrofit - I'd...
I mean Lancer, I'm using a 7/8 MC from a Lancer (non Evo) - I have no booster as it's been deleted.I've got the fittings for the MC but where my hard lines go to the flex lines in the wheel wells - I need to know the size. I'm still running stock 2G AWD brakes.
Working on making new custom lines for my car from Nickle Copper tubing.I'm running an Lancer booster which is all double flared M10x1.0 fittings.
Are the 2G DSM brake lines the same fitting where the flex lines connect in the wheel wells? Also where can I get stainless brake fittings?
Picked up an aluminum radiator for a MK3 GTI. I had to do some minor mods to the core support so it would slip under. Right now the stock hood latch is still there but to get both 12" fans installed it's got to go. I'll run some Aerocatch hood pins to latch the hood down.
This freed up a ton of...
Some more updates on this bucket, inching closer and closer to finishing it.Got my hands on a 96A Saturn Alternator, this will be converted to a 1 wire set up.Maintenance stuff - MT90, MTL, Shockproof and plugs.Custom PS high side line with a fitting that will allow me to do a field...
Not always an option.Being on an island, I've got little options for clean shells. Bringing a good running shell to the island would likely cost just as much as having mine all fixed up.
I know there is quite a bit of pressure on the high side, I've got a custom Eletro-Hydraulic Power Steering set up with a n MR2 pump.
My high line is rated for 5000psi!
The low side is considerably less though, still around 200 IIRC.
I'd like to have a cooler, the reason I said that size is I can easily bolt it to the oil cooler.
I'd mount it between the FMIC and radiator but I've got my radiator tucked under the core support so there is not a whole lot of room.Car is just a weekend warrior (drag, autox, twisty roads)
Due to limited spacing I'm thinking about placing my power steering cooler right behind my oil cooler (both 8x11x1.5).
I'm assuming this will cause no cooling issues since cars are set up from the factory like this (AC condensor in front of the Radiator).
I plan to add a fan as a push or pull...
Started ordering parts to button my car back up and finally drive it this year.
Also squaring up the wiring harness, just need to add some stuff to the chassis harness and she's all done!
I believe there was a post about this once but I cannot seem to find it.Maybe I'm getting older but sweating my bag off in a car without AC isn't as fun as it once was.Stumbled across this searching today...
Is this what you are talking about for the rotary SDS hammer drill?
https://www.milwaukeetool.ca/power-tools/corded/5268-21I used to use something similar to drive 10 foot long ground rods at work. I imagine it could work in this situation but it's rather big and awkward. Why not just burn...
My mirrored arcylic idea didn't work out as planned, it's a bugger to cut unless you've got all the right tools plus it's rather brittle. So I made myself a cheap vacuum table out of some MDF and peg board, the frames were made from screen frames.Bought some polystyrene sheet, put in the...
The Mini projectors have come a long way both in performance and reliability.
However, I personally still prefer an OEM projector - that's all I've ever used in my personal retrofits.
Some people collect turbos....I collect LED/HID projectors.Just before Christmas I picked up a set of Corolla LED projectors for steal. They came complete with the whole headlight bucket and drivers.Bit of JB Weld Steelstik and they were mounted.Quick test, much better beam pattern and...
Today I picked up a 7/8" MC from an 03 Lancer for my brake booster delete (yay for factory parts).
I also got my Corolla LED projectors test mounted and did a bit of wiring junk.
f*** em.There where lots of wastes of skin like that in my high school were I grew up. I couldn't tell you what they are doing now and nor do I care (didn't care then either).
Fact is most these people won't be in your life forever so they are not worth the effort.
I'm not 100% sure if there is a difference between AWD and FWD sub frames but I would get one from an AWD car to avoid any issues.
Other then that, any 2G sub frame should fit.
Glad you enjoyed what I've done so far.The time thing has always been a sort of issue for me.
When I first started this build I had a load of time but very little money. Then things flipped I had a load of money but very little time. When you're only home 1 week out of a month and have a young...
