Great times, and awesome 60' on street tires! But, stock appearing 76hta?

Need input on 14b 2g turbo plans.

I see my name was mentioned. Looks like most of the basics have been covered in this thread though. The 6cm turbine housing is what comes stock on the 14b, the 7cm from a big 16g or 7cm2 housing from the evo III is a marginal upgrade as it reduces backpressure. In turn it spools slightly later...

    1G 14B AWD no nitrous goes 10.905 @ 122.5

I have the kiggly steel street springs in the car. I do not log backpressure, I'm sure it's high haha! It launches pretty well. Saturday I was launching at 7k with 8 psi in the front and 10 psi in the rear. Consistently in the 1.44-1.46's doing that. I think with a little practice, reading track...

    1G 14B AWD no nitrous goes 10.905 @ 122.5

Didn't post my own thread when I ran my 10.93 at The Shootout this year, just updated the 14b drag racing thread. Figured it was time to post my own thread now that I "think" I'm done with the 14b for a minute.I took the car out to Milan Dragway for a Toledo Tuners track rental on Saturday...

Criteria for "fastest" lists? FWD, 14b, manual, auto, etc

I like the setup of this list. The 16g just isn't available easily enough in it's standard form anymore to be on it's own on the list. I'd love to see pump gas, E85, E98, Methanol, and Race gas all separated at some point as well.

Go Team Kiggly! New PB from their shop car, details inside!

It is sad to see only a few responses here. But, as we all know the forums are slowly dying and being replaced by social media. Lots of stuff on Facebook about it. Which is sad, that info will be lost forever and at least forums contain/contained some historical stuff that could be brought back...

No, I didn't go over the scale in Norwalk. But, not much has changed other than some weight I lost. I'm figuring it's about 2310ish. The side windows all remain glass right now, I could finally finish those for a bit more weight savings. The rest comes down to fabrication and money though. The...

    Intake temps after quarter mile

Kind of following your lead that way Justin! Figured if I try out the 16g and have some fun I can always come back to the little fellow with anything I learn along the way. I did pick up .1 between the outing without the unclipped wheel and when I put it on. But, I've picked up a whole lot more...

I'll try to learn from that and not go to crazy changing anything. That way if I feel like bolting it back on I have the ability to do it. I can't see myself doing much more than a motor build ever anyway, and that's only if this one gave up the ghost. I'm fine with the stock block. Pushing the...

I can't say I wouldn't ever go back to it Joe! But, the 14b is all I've ever ran. Pretty tired of pushing for those hundredths at this point. I'll do at least the one more track day that's all I can guarantee. For now, I'm fully basking in the satisfaction of having accomplished the goal!

Track opens tomorrow but I work. Couple very minor things to get ready but otherwise the car is good to go. Should be an update in a few weeks. Going to take it easy starting out, low boost and low timing to get it dialed back in. It'll depend on how many runs I get how far it gets pushed on the...

On this last go around I was finding the best results at about 24 psi. Any higher was losing power.I'm re-motivated for this year, especially since I have an Evo III 16g to strap on at some point. Gotta hit the 10 to earn the right to put it on! It'll lose a touch more weight but the pay to...

Thanks Justin, you going to get that turd out this year? I've never been good on a pro tree, the only time I've ever even had them was at the shootout. Maybe I'll get some practice in next year before the shootout though. If I can't learn the tree there's no way I can compete anyways! But, I...

Sorry guys. The head came off the car last winter and went to the machine shop for a valve job. I just got it back a little over a week ago. Best with the hks 264/272 combo was 122.7, best with the Crane's was 124.8, 1 degree less timing with the Crane's once I dialed them in, no other changes. So 2 mph which is quite a leap on a maxed out low hp 14b car.

I did not get my 10, the car had someshifter issues the next outing and I only got a couple clean runs in with poor 60 foots. The head is off the car and in the shop, 45% leakdown in Cyl 1. Had some better 60's later but ended up with some shifting issues. I'm hoping it's just my cables as I had a clip pop out during a pass...
