The SSX plate will hold more power and still have a light petal feel. Yes the organic disk is what I meant. I would not use the kevlar as it will glaze over from excessive heat and become useless.
You can use any disk with the ssx plate just ask tim.
I personally would go with ID 2200s on E . I have no problem running them on pump gas or E85. I'm set up with flex fuel sensor and even Street driving it's like it's on stock injectors. If u dont plan on running e85 you can get away with much smaller injectors.
I don't need 2200s but gives me...
There really is no secret . E85 DSM link full with a map sensor big fuel system and a real good tuner will get u far. The sky is really the limit all depends on how much money u are willing to commit to your project.

Once I have a solid idea on were the oil pressure is I really dont look at it anymore unless im in the middle of lets say third gear. Im more concerned about the wideband reading more than anything. Yea get the offsets correct on link as im sure you review your logs often and worry when...
I would be happy with 90 psi max pressure hot. I would not worry about the log boost as much as what the gauge is readiing. I have around 85 psi max oil pressure hot using 20/50 semi syn and my rod bearings looked like brand new after 4 years. No shafts and OFH is ported and im using an...
I would have cryoed another pressure plate and went with that if not from SB try another company like comp. Your far from needing a twin let alone as much as you drive it on the street. If you had clutch issues before you may not like this one eather. Let us know your results on it!
You can get a real nice helmet for 250$ and will last you for many years. I use a snowmobile snowcross race helmet so it has many uses.. Its a worth while investment to have around..
Yea for how hot the shootout is sometimes I would not want to share a helmet thats just nasty..
IMO it would be best with one 450 intank and and 044 inline. The inline pump wont bleed the pressure off like 450s will. Your still going to bleed off pressure I would think with even 2 450s.
This last season I used 2 oz per 5 gallons with E85. E85 is corosive and will wear moving parts so any lube will help. I like this as its synthetic and from a high end race oil company. I orginally noticed it at bushurs shop at a shootout and they use it in there e85 as well. Its red so it...
Yea its like 18$ a gallon. Comes in 5 gallon pales. You better off finding a good E85 station in your area that tests out good and stick to that station.Yep spot on
I dont think pump gas will get you to the goals your looking for. E85 or race gas will but not 93 octane. Its not worth the risk of running a lower octane gas IMO. A 9 second car is a solid 600 HP to the wheels. I would have also ran a better rod like an oliver or manley turbo tuff. Those eagles...
Yea the 450 is out of my car now and the sending unit is at buschurs to get the double pumper currently. I would not get the 450 unless you run race gas or pump gas as you dont need as much pump for that fuel. Im sure there are many u tube videos on punching the relief on the 255s or write ups...
Ok thats a great AFR on E85. What fuel pump are you running. I had problems with the walbro 450 at 28 psi not being able to hold the ~77 psi of pressure I needed. If you can punch your fuel pump pressure relief now is the time to do so as you will start to loose pressure at this point if your on...
I am using the same set up on my race car but a race sprung center. I have found the right out of the box .609 ACT flywheel works best. I have tryed alot of clutch and flywheel set ups as in diffrent step heights etc and after years of testing finally found a system that works and holds any...
Yea I have bought a set new and they coat them with some kind of green coating and the black coating on the skirts. The skirts look fine and is really were most of the wear is found. You could take them to your machinist and have him clean them up. As long as the ring lands are not damaged your...
The ATI dampeners is the one to get. If you can afford it go for it as its a great investment on an expensive motor. You dont see many guys using the upgraded dampeners as you dont see them and everyone is all about what you see when you pop the hood. The ATI damperners do work and are far...
Get a another dip sick from a junk yard if you have any around you or post a pick of your current one. It may also be damaged buy someone jaming it in to hard and moving the stopper on the handle?
Autos have there problems as well its not an end all to breakage. IMO manual is the way to go. Just makes for a better driving expereance with the car. Devins car is a full shep dog box. There is really no more upgrading that cars drive train.
The petal pressure is a hair above stock ( its like really?) The clutch engaugement window is higher on the petal so there is some getting used to but over all I love it so far. I have the engaugement set about 2" off the floor. I put about 50+ miles on it today. Much more enjoyable to drive...
Update I got the clutch in and very happy with how it all went together. I ended up having to pull it back out to remove the washer from under the pivit ball to get the fork in the window were I wanted it. This is the first clutch ever that I had no shim under the pivit ball and the fork is...
^^^ I dont like the fact the fingers are damaged as its will just lead to another TOB failure. You might have to get a whole new kit or send it out to ACT to have it repaired. Also you didnt install the TOB clip correctly you need to flip it around so it goes over the top of the bearing. Its a...
I have run into a problem with trying to have the flywheel machined perfectly flat as flywheels grinders wont get a perfectly flat surface. I have been to like 5 shops and they all say they cant make it any flatter and I then called RRE and they said the only way to get it perfectly flat is have...
Go with a sprung disk if your going to be doing any street driving as I have tryed the unsprung and its a little touchy on the street and its not all that good for the input shaft splines but I do have to say it shifts nice. The south bend PP uses a stock like engaugement point that is diffrent...
Well if it's making noise like you said that throw out bearing needs to be replaced with an OEM unit and see what's going on once you have the clutch appart.
Did you play with the petal height may be its to high? Think whats happening here is your over extending the clutch pressure plate and its hitting the disk causing it to lock up on the flywheel. Try playing with the petal height adjustment (lower it to just about the break petal height) then...
2.0 for me for the life I own a DSM. Im on manual as well have no desire to go autol. Auto set ups are slightly diffrent and normally dont rev as high so you can get away with a 2.3 and it will still live along time.
The aluminum bearings are way more forgiving to the crack shaft as they are a very soft metal. I use the aluminum bearings and have no problem with them. Alot of engine builders perfer the aluminum bearings as well. They are cheaper but dont let that fool you.
