what happend to mine was water got inside it and fried it. Brand new from the dealership they wanted to charge me $650 for it so I just went down to the local junk yard and pulled a new one. However i did not install it so i cant help you therebut good luck keep us posted

my car used to smoke only at idle. The problum was the head gasket was blown between cylinders 3 and 4. The compression in bolth cylinders was 50 psi and that was after a wet test. The reason it didnt smoke while driving was becuase the pressure inside the cylenders was greater then the water...

i remember having a simular problum. try checking the cam angle sensor.

oil line to your turbo? dont know maybe you should get under there and look.ps runing your car hard all the time is going to leave you with alot more problums then a little oil leak. no matter how much you want it to be its no racecar

The engine will have to be taken out of the car, then striped down to the block. the head everything has to come off. Then the rod conected to the piston with the bad ring can be taken out. If your going to go through the trouble to replace the one piston, might as well do them all.if you do...

did you put the filter in the correct way without kinking any hoses? instaling it upsidedown could cause fuel pump problums

when metal heats up it expands (iam talking glowing hot)... manifolds crack when they cool off to fast at an uneven rate

sounds like bad rings. check your compression, and what color is the smoke? blue smoke is burning oil = bad rings white smoke is coolent = bad headgasket or worped head
