Last night i was coming home from work on the slick roads here in Chicago.About 1/4 mile from my house, the car slid out of control. Coming around a bend, i turned the wheel to steer a bit left, but it kept on going straight. I 'crashed' into the curb, and bounced off. I got out of the car...
Damn. I remember originally replying in this thread a long while back. I guess it is the "I'm out of the game" thread!Between my brother and I, we had something like 7 DSM's. We're both out of the DSM scene now, and we're both in the Honda scene. I've got an '01 GSR which I love (good gas...
My Golf is holding up fine, then again I've only got 6000 miles on it.I use to lust over a 20th or 337, but have since moved on. Still sort of expensive for what they are. All I reallllly liked was the cool little rabbit logo on the hatch, and of course the Recaros.Nothing wrong with...
Why? I've not used the word in common conversation, but have heard others. I've also heard it in many contemporary musical lyrics. I've got no problem with it.Oh, the IX looks to be bitchin! :sneaky:
I own a Golf now, and tend to hang around there.I dont like it because there is no sense of community like there was here. Its a very large board, and unless you are a certain niche, nobody really intertalks. It'd almost be like having this board be an entire mitsubishi board, and if...
Unless I could pay cash for the evoltion, no thanks. Im not going to pay 400+ a month for a toy, especially since it doesnt have 2 turbos and its not from Germany :thumb:
My info stated above is for the 1995 model year, which is the only year that the Z weighed less than the Supra.in 1996, the difference was negligible with a 17lb difference going to the Supra. In 95 the Z was slimmer at 3299 compared to the Supra's 3415. In 94, the Z's 3517 was 117 lbs...
Hey Spanky, in case you didnt know...Turbo Supras weigh more than a TTZ... :|Z- 3299 lbs.
Supra. 3415 lbs.And the Supra doesnt have 2 turbo's either eh? Unless we're talking Single Turbo conversion here, it costs just as much to upgrade a TT Supra, as does a Z.Supras are...
My brothers friend has a mid 90's 3000GT, and although it is better built than a DSM, it is still sort of falling apart. Has had numerous problems with it as well. And as far as a 300zx goes....do not do it. They break just as often as DSMs and costs 10x more to fix. It was marketed as a...
I've long thought about it. Actually, the reason i bought my 3rd DSM is because my buddy sold it to me dirt cheap, and i needed something to ride in until finances get better. However, the time has come. In January, Im getting a newer, more gas efficient car(Honda/Acura)My DSMS have...
I like it alot too. Better than the Ion at least.Yeah, it has less potential that a turbocharged car, but hey, if you're putting over 220 to the wheels, you're not doing TOO bad, right?
I havent bought one yet, but theyre HOT right now. I work at Circuit City, and we put 8 or 9 of those on the floor at about 10am, and they were gone withing 3 hours.HUGE gift idea i think.
-Out there-First, I want to let you know that I am not criticizing you. You have no need to point out some validity to me, nor do you have anything to prove to me. That was not my intention to insinuate that.If you believe you can excel greatly in a science field, please feel free to do...
So you think you can just waltz into a major, go to a very respectable college...and then get a job just because its "prestigious" and "makes money"? You do understand the amount of effort, years of residency and schooling it takes, right? You're the kind of assholes I hate seeing in my...
Unless you have a good salary, dont bother with an evolution. theyre costly as is, and will be costly to maintain.Im sick of these "should i get an evo" threads. damn
You damn well better make at least 75k with a PhD. I'll be outright ####ing pissed if i dont get 70K out of Pharm school with a PharmD (doctorate of pharmacy)there better be a reason you go to school for 6-8 years.
Ive come to the point where i just give a damn about kids wrapping supra's around trees anymore. happens all the time. Now if it was a Z32, on the otherhand.. :DPS: Any TT Supra worth having wont be had for less than 20-25K
I've found that the heavier shift knobs offer a much better shift feel.I've been alternating between the heavy OEM machV shift knob, and the Evolution VIII knob, and theres a huge difference. The evolution knob is 10x lighter, and shifting feels much more notchy, and not as fluid, due to...
Like I've said, ive had most success with places like Red Roof Inn.They just dont give a damn what you do. my brother trashed the place, and they didnt say a damn thing.A bunch of us premed/pre-pharm folk are getting together at the Lisle Marriott this weekend for some activities of some...
Are you actually in Chicago itself? or in a suburb? All my college folk and myself tend to party at the Mariott's. Mostly in Lisle near my school. I've found that them and Red Roof Inn dont give a damn about anything.
my exgirlfriend brother started his own lawnmowing/snow excavation business. Typical sounding, i know...however, in the first 2 years his clientele reached an amazing number, he ended up hiring his friends, buying 2 of those crazy ass standing motorized mowers, and some other equipment. I forgot...
Im just going to assume that you're saying your car doesnt run? My cat runs all the time, he's healthy. Its 'resume' man. May God have mercy on your poor soul.Clicky
To make it to 160,000 miles. at 156,000 right now.that and to get all the paintwork and bodywork done on the car. Just need to get to and from school with a bit of a smile, so reliability is an issue. I guess my goal is one of those odd ones...be in the elite 'high mileage club' ...i would...
Got another Pharm folk besides myself in here! :thumb:I remember my 21st birthday. It was nothing but hard liquor for hours. woke up, felt like shit till 3-4 in the afternoon, and had some southern comfort to calm the nerves. that worked until half the bottle was gone. Then it all started...
The silverish champaign color is awesome. my buddy's is the only one ive ever seen in person.very rare, i'd say. and one of the few talons to not be 2 tone.
My car ran like shit while doing this as well. It seemed like the car needed the extra backpressure to get itself rolling. The only cool thing was the sound of the turbo..its like WeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEwwww. Very loud.
Why? Makes perfect sense to me. shit accumulates and forms some sort of buildup to make sure no vacuum leak may be possible. when things tend to start getting old and falling apart, and deteriorating, cleaning all that buildup and gunk leaves areas where air may escape.Seems logical to me.
The SMIC becomes inneficient around 280 whp or so, correct? My last talon had every single thing in the DSMtuners stage 1 list. Which is about 300whp.I still had the stock clutch.Drove it till I skipped timing, which was 15,000 miles later. No change. then again, i dont drag race or...
 :confused:what the hell does that have to do with slayer?in any case, that is just ####ed up.I mean, that goes beyond theatrical value. thats just sick and twisted.Yet it will sell out every venue.
I was reading in the Chicago papers the other day about the 0 maintainence schedule they have on the new 3's.Lease a 3 for some amount per month, and pay NOTHING for maintaince. Oil changes, free. wipers, free...etc.damned good deal if you ask me.3's are nice commuter cars. handle...
You know, im glad someone bought my thread back.Im probably going to end up going with a brand new power steering rack. Mine leaks PROFUSELY. As in, I have to fill up the reservoir with new fluid every 3 days because it leaks out completely in that time.I've found new racks starting at...
^^^^Thats pretty damn nice for being an ohio car.Im in the process of hunting down new fenders and panels because alot my car is rusted and dinged, want to get it painted.Sucks to live in area with lots of snow and salt :(
